Unsure how this has anything to do with our requirements. We have lacked a good crumber for years.

Lucky enough to have a chat with Dom in the stands before queens birthday game. Concentrating on putting on weight but feels he's gotten stronger and improved his tank even at the cost of a little speed (nb was already elite endurance) was hopeful of a game this year but saw it as development. Commented that he'd already put on 5 kg and it was all very structured and going to plan. Loved playing around Hogan. Asked him what the coaches wanted from him and answer was basically a young Davey, who he obviously loves. I think you blokes smashing him will be pleasantly surprised eventually, but you're all a sick masochistic lot so whatever, this post was for those that actually cared for his thoughts. Edited to make it sound like English.

Bombers scandal: charged, <redacted> and <infracted>
mordja replied to Jonesbag's topic in Melbourne Demons
From the reports being a compounding pharmacy in south yarra then it's more than likely the one in the como centre on Toorak Rd. don't know of any others. -
Mate you're just trying to manage the argument now. Instead of proving your original argument correct you are trying to prove anyone who disagrees with you wrong on any point. Actually, this describes just about every thread on DL at the moment. Go back to what you were doing.....

Any chance we can lose most of the last decade?

Not sure if you're just being antagonistic but I'll elaborate. Bailey ditched senior players, some of whom (eg Junior McDonald) before their full value to the club was reached. he also played some players before they were ready (eg Watts) and I believe this has made their growth more difficult and negatively affected our club. I'm not saying all the seniors that went under his watch weren't justified, and apologies for not digging up all examples or arguing semantics but I'm sure you know what I was referencing. If not please review our performances for the last five years fielding teams with buggar all experience. My underlying point was that Jones is a mature recruit, but not old, and if his form warrants selection I dont see why we shouldnt play him. Moreover he isnt holding out a "talented youngster", which is the point I was replying to.

Dean is that you? Kids learn to play and grow in the VFL, they should play AFL when they deserve a spot. We've seen how it goes when you gift kids games. If Matt Jones demands a spot in our midfield (which is a pretty low bar relative to other AFL teams) why on earth wouldnt you play him? He's 25 not 30 anyway.

No Bennel unless I'm suffering male fridge blindness.... Pity, he had a field day last time and would have made us work harder.

No doubt he may have disappointed to date (has had plenty of mates there though). Luke has had more than his share of injuries and this year was his first real chance at a preseason, unfortunately I understand he did have a couple of setbacks there though as well (speaking to his sponsor). However with all that in mind I think Luke has plenty to offer and hasn't yet played to his ability. His kicking and grunt should be an asset and I hope he displays it in 2013. Agree that he would want a better showing this year.

IMHO there is a massive difference between sliding in (similar to Rohan's injury and how Goodes has taken to going in knees first in the last few years) vs blokes throwing themselves at the ball. Again purely IMO but only blokes who were otherwise out of the contest that come sliding in should be penalised, not blokes who are doing the hard stuff and putting their heads over the ball and diving after a bouncing pill. As usual the umpires will stuff this up, over officiate it and we wont know one from the other until the finals where they might put the whistles away. God I wish they'd stop ruining our game, the last 10 years has been an absolute disaster as far as rule changes.

I remember something about a depth chart being used (at least certainly when they were in Darwin). Be interesting to know if this was being continued as a method of motivation during training.

Unimportant post here, but for all you pricks that constantly derail every thread into BS bickering, I hate you and I wish you every misery. Cheers.

You'd be forgiven for reading Brent's quote as very similar to "yes, we have a Jordan Gysberts here, who's asking?" Good luck but no example setting from what I can see except attendance.
