  1. Burgoyne had also won a flag at Port. Hartlett has had his leadership questioned and been a part of an inconsistent Port Adelaide for 2 years.
  2. Ah, so psychologically scarred from years in the military? That makes sense. I hear they're pretty progressive with their gender politics as well.
  3. You really are a [censored] stirrer aren't you?
  4. And it's why they won't win a flag. Rougheadless. In big finals, you nedd a big guy that can take the pressure off occasionally, particularly if the last option is to bomb it long inside 50.
  5. Probably my favourite player and seems like a terrific bloke off the field. To think where he was even 4 years ago is simply astounding and a credit to his maturity and determination. Well done Jetts and I hope he wins the award.
  6. Whilst I wouldn't be against McKenzie, Frost was the obvious match up for Daniher earlier in the year, so he hasn't actually had his chance. I'd also expect our zone defence and team defence to improve another step next year. I think we have the pieces in place, we just need to gain continuity and experience with the game style in attack and defence.
  7. Rubbish, mate. 'Toughen up ladies' is a lot different from colloquially referring to everyone as guys, which I do as well. People with an issue about that don't actually understand gender politics, in the same way that people who think the use of pronouns in every situation is inherently sexist. That stuff is [censored]. What I do have a problem with is the insinuation that being a lady makes you soft. The people in my life who are the least likely to be soft are women.
  8. And you guys wonder why there aren't more female posters with the sexist drivel that is so often posted?
  9. Still one of my favourite posters, Ernest. As Jurgen Klopp said, "Boom".
  10. Given you're going into pretty much every trading thread and dropping his name, I certainly get that you want it to happen.
  11. Didn't they say that last year too? Certainly, most media 'journalists' had us stagnating this year. WGAF what those two say. Their creditability is near zero. One is known widely as a bottom-feeder ambulance chaser, the other was a very good footballer, who is trying desperately to remain relevant in a media landscape that couldn't give a toss about him.
  12. Well, let's wait and see, Saber. You're very right in saying they don't have a first rounder this year. Given their okay midfield, they'll want to spend a few first rounders on their midfield. Then again, maybe they can continue to get little traitors from the northern clubs to nominate them.
  13. Or we do that Hibberd trade straight away and then trade Garland away afterwards, to get back into the second round.
  14. Occasionally Marvel willl hit the mark. I agree with Guardians and would add Ant Man to that too. I was very surprised by how good that was, but not Deadpool. Deadpool felt like it was a movie that thought it was extremely bold and fresh, but gee, it was disappointingly conventional and obvious. Not to mention Reynolds simply channelling Jim Carrey as Ace Ventura for two hours. The opening title sequence was a nice try, if not once again feeling like they thought the film was fresher than it actually was. That sequence did remind me a little of Watchman though, which I think in terms of modern action films based on graphic novels, it's pretty hard to surpass, directorially and substance-wise.
  15. I doubt he'll get a run at the Crows either, but if he wants to be back in SA, maybe that'll do it?
  16. I guess my line of thinking was how does this impact on the way we use our wings and half forwards to run off half back and rotate onto the wings? We currently have a bit of unpredictably and Goodwin seems to be an ideas man, a bit like Clarkson, which I'm excited about. So would 16 a side make this unpredictability tougher and if so, is that a problem?
  17. I wonder what our FD department think about this possible rule change (specifically Goodwin). I'm selfish when it comes to football. Does this rule change inpact on our game style in a positive or negative way? If it's the latter, then I'm against it.
  18. Let's go with questionable leadership and inconsistent performance then. That's enough for me. The Port leadership group has question marks over it. What is it that HH will bring that we'd want to give up a 2017 first rounder for?
