  1. Shall do. I need one.
  2. Ditto. Each time Maric gets the ball across half forward, I usually expect him hit a target. Likewise, Grimes off the back flank and Davey and Morton are the best kicks in our side. Sylvia's improvement is slowly rising. Hopefully he can break QB open.
  3. Completely agree, Lord Travis.
  4. 69,000ish About 25, maybe 30 of us and 40 of them. Plus another 5.
  5. Mine too actually. :D
  6. It's just a pity we can't do it every week. Granted, I'm incredibly excited by this. Got a text from my old man in a lecture today and shook my fist at the lecturer in celebration. :D What a [censored].
  7. Not a chance in hell. We'll now hopefully get 70,000 and even that's pushing it. I hope you're right, but there's no way we'll get near 80,000.
  8. Haha, was thinking the same thing, as long as his sister doesn't see it on my profile. Would seem a little weird.
  9. It's an interesting point this, because most people seem to be going to a like for like, with Miller making way for Watts. I don't really have a solution to it myself.
  10. Jones will play. It's the sort of game he'll do well in. I don't recall the Pies having extreme pace through the middle. It's against these teams he'll struggle, but against the likes of the black and white, he'll be a ball magnet. As for Bell, there's no way he'll get dropped this week. I don't think he should be in the long term plans for us, as we've got rising stars off half back, coming out of our behinds, but there's no point in bringing Bell in for one game and dropping him. Bailey will give him at least 2 or 3, if not more, before deciding on Bell. He is playing for his career and Bailey will want to see the best that he can deliver.
  11. I can't see there only being two changes this week. I think there'll be at least three.
  12. Agreed. Though I'd add Newton as well, though I suspect I'm alone there.
  13. To me it seems like he'll play off a flank or out of a pocket, playing that dangerous finisher/crumber role. I think he did his job last week. At least from the opportunities that arrose to him. I agree, he's gonna be a beauty.
  14. CHF Watts Newton Bate FF Maric Robbo Jurrah I'd like to see Newton and Jurrah in this week. It's highly doubtful either will be. It also seems we're bringing Robbo back in (which is slightly disappointing, due to the fact it's going a little easy on him). He will add another marking option up there though. It's quite potent, how I invisage it.
  15. Good to hear. And thanks. I hope the weather doesn't keep too many away.
  16. Nah, I was questioning your indecision to bring them in the first place. That's fine though, no one has to go.
  17. Yeah, we reached 29,619 last season.
  18. Yeah, that's awesome.
  19. Yep, right with you, Titan. That's the sort of stuff that gives me the shits. I've been saying all week, give him at least another week down there. Firstly, get the attitude right, then the kicking by the sounds of it. There's no point in dropping him in the first place, if they just bring him back, because we lack a forward presence. Thanks for the wrap, KC.
  20. Yeah, ditto.
  21. Now, I understand that we seem to write out a cheque every time we play an interstate side, but I'd be a little bit wary of playing games outside of the MCG. One, because we've just realligned ourselves with them (and we wouldn't want to damage relations with the MCC). Two, the MCG is our home. Three, we should play in Melbourne, not in the 'burbs. We have to solidify our roots in the city. That said, if there's a way of playing games down at Casey and keeping both the MCC happy, remaining fully rooted in "Melbourne", then it seems like a good way to gain new members.
  22. Well, the target was 30,000, so I'd say they wouldn't risk over estimating on the budget.
  23. Check out some of his highlights from last year carnival and see for yourself. Also, have a look at Watts', Blease's and Strauss'. They kicked it round in circles to each other.
  24. Scully's handball to kick ratio in that game is interesting to read (23 handballs, 10 kicks in 33 possies). Something of note, particularly as our team at the moment struggle to hit targets by hand. To hear that his efficency in this area is very high might be another thing that we look for.
  25. He has hardly had an ineffective disposal either. I can't remember him having one. He is a little gun.
