It's interesting. A lot of my friends gave up their MCC membership when they turned 18. I suspect there are quite a few that do that too. There was a vote about a year ago and I feel like it was RE allowing more half members join. Can anyone confirm that? If that's true, I'm not surprised the waiting list is so long.

Hello 2015. This myth that was thrown about a bit during 2015 was just that. A myth. There were rolling scrum contested football-heavy game styles in 2005, but not in the recent past and you certainly couldn't argument 2016 saw rolling scrums. That's just a load of rubbish. The game evolved to a perfect mixture between uncontested and contested football IMO.

PJ is more trusted than Swan and I think it's pretty well documented that a significant amount of the AFL's bail out money was going towards luring Roos. We were a shambles, no doubt, but PJ had the AFL's support.

Oliver has a lot more class than Wines, for mine. And we know he's a far better kick too. Oliver is going to be the one. He's our Sam Mitchell. Will be underrated surrounded by those flashier types like Petracca, but he's the guy I'm most excited about. I look forward to seeing him play after a proper pre-season and once he gets two or three pre-seasons under his belt, he'll be our best mid.

Our list is in such a place that we don't need to bring in a heap of stars, because hopefully they're on our list already. So it's about reasonably cheap options to fill the remaining list gaps. Hibberd is this. A Brent Harvey is also this. Fills a need and comes relatively cheaply. We need good ball users. Salem, Watts... who else? I would have said Vince but he's become a butcher. Hibberd is strong in the contest and a damaging kick. He will fit our system perfectly. A second rounder is a sensible price. We move on to strengthening other areas of our list.

If most people can their list is going nowhere, why can't the Richmond board? They're gunshy on sacking another coach, otherwise Hardwick would have been gone years ago.

So Salem, Frost and Vince are tradeable? Not unless there's something pretty bloody good on the end of the hook. Frost's pace and ability to break the lines is a big reason why our defence improved so much in the second half of the season.

The same could be said for Roos... it's people he trusts.
