  1. There's a couple of hit up passes in this footage. He's a decent kick, but sometimes rushes his disposal when he's at full pelt.
  2. I didn't talk about balance at all. I called it a tidbit.
  3. Bring him back to his real home I reckon. It seems we have a respected medical team now that could woo perennially injured players. It'd be funny if we nicked him back from Freo in a year or two for a second rounder.
  4. If we end up with Young and Murray as a DFA, we'll have stocked up on left footers. Of the likely left footers for Round 1, we'd have: May, Hibberd, Salem, Young, Murray, Fritsch, Viney, Hannan and maybe even Hore as well. 9 in your 22 is unusually high. The Bulldogs could argue they could have 10 in their best 22, otherwise really only North, St Kilda and Collingwood are anywhere near that number - they could probably field 6-8 players in their best 22 who are left footers. Does this mean anything? Probably not, but a tidbit nevertheless.
  5. You can understand why, with the Pies cap-squeeze, they've decided not to persevere with Murray. They have many of his type on their list, but he'd be a handy acquisition for us. He's another that would release Salem to play further up the field, but also give us some handy rebound and run and carry from defence, without absolute brainfades (ala Frost).
  6. It's on the website. https://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/2019-11-04/bennell-to-train-with-melbourne
  7. I reckon it's closer to 6.7 times out of 10.
  8. Yep, incredible he's still so young. Absolute gun.
  9. Thanks mate. I wonder if he was a Victorian whether there'd be a lot more hype around him. It's really a problem this Victorian bubble. It means WA teams can hide their top talent.
  10. Jeepers. Would we want Robertson, PSD? He sounds solid, but not what you'd want for a top 10 pick.
  11. Hasn't interviewed well, allegedly.
  12. Haha, your time to shine, Werridee. Best 22s for the next 4 months.
  13. Wouldn't call this a leak. He actually just came out and said it, so I'd call this a bit of misdirection.
  14. I'd still seriously look at Gould for pick 8. Particularly, if Kemp is off the board by then. With Jetta and Hibberd slowing down and Salem not being the greatest defender, this guy could be a gun at AFL level. I read with interest the alleged/implied attitude issues, but he's a beautiful kick, got a bit of toe and is more naturally suited to defence than Salem IMO. Be interesting to see where he goes. Would be surprised if he lasted past 15.
  15. Imagine the flaggellation (or don't). The poor room cleaners.
  16. The Geelong away game is ridiculous. There's no commercial justification for it either. We'd get more at the G against them than they would down at the Cattery. I'm all for the game being a commercial beast, but this particular fixturing is neither fair or commercially just.
  17. Better engine too. That's what excites me about Harmes. Can play anywhere on the ground.
  18. That's what I was thinking too. I reckon we'll bid on Green, which will be matched by GWS, and we'll take Young at 3. I wouldn't be surprised to see us bid on Henry at 8 and have that matched by Freo, and we end up taking Kemp. We rarely leak, so I reckon it's more likely we've let it be known that Jackson is in the mix.
  19. I don't think so, for me. List clogger, I reckon.
  20. Haha, probably, but it is the silly season. I certainly think if Brayshaw and Harmes can rediscover their 2018 form; Petracca convert his forward form into midfield form and use his explosiveness and x factor to win stoppages and kick goals from the midfield; Oliver continue to improve, but we know we get consistent ball winning from him; Viney gets a proper run at it without being plagued by injury; Langdon and Tomlinson's running power; and adding Bennell - it's a midfield that finally has everything, if, and I say 'if', Bennell can get on the field. Salem and even Jones can roll through there too. I'd say we at least match West Coast and could compete with Collingwood. Richmond's midfield is good, but not as deep as Collingwood's, nor does their team rely on the midfield. They're all about pressure systems and ball movement.
  21. Reckon May has more to do with his than, Nev, but I could be wrong. I mean, of course, our recruiting team and FD have the most to do with it, but I'd suggest May has had something to do with it.
  22. Well done, Jimmy. One of my favourites nowadays. Is only going to get better. Can't wait to see him attack 2020.
  23. I did think of that, although no one says Rowell is asking for that.
  24. As cheap depth, yep. If we're serious about next year, we need experience and depth come the second half of the year. We've lost quite a bit of experience with Lewis. If May goes down or Omac isn't up to it and we need someone to play on a gorilla, he'd be a handy in.
