I'm already an MFC/MCC member. We had to renew before September 1st. So count me in.

Hhhhhaaang on a second. Their midfield is made up of two highly experienced premiership players in Sidebottom and Pendlebury. Take those guys out and they don't hold a candle to our midfield. It's a bit like the St Kilda mirage. They have hit the sweet spot with their system and their runners off half back and dangerous small forwards, but take those two out and they don't go near. It's a list profile thing and I'd say we're incredibly even but given their two best mids are over 30 and ours are under 25, we're in a stronger position heading into the next 3-5 years. Remember how their midfield was statistically rated the best a year or so ago and ours was rated the worst? This year our midfield flew by them statistically. However, their system and being able to play with the same coach for 7 years, has enabled them to click. Our ceiling is so much higher.

How was the bogan music? Cringe. Anyway, hoping for a brexit-style annexation of WA and the rest of the country. ?

I don't know how you guys put up with it. I'd say no less than 10 people have either told us to go home, smirked at us, laughed directly in our faces or told us how good the Eagles are. Half of that occurred in the airport prior to the game and then in the airport post game. I know there's an inferiority complex thing going on, but it's been the least hospitable place I've ever been to and that includes multiple trips to Adelaide and over here for a Freo match. One of you said it the other day, but everyone seems to hate Victorians. I know neither of you are Victorians, but walking around with Melbourne gear on must surely see you cop it a bit. Hats off for taking it for so long.

Thank you, Demonland. You always make me feel better after a loss. It's been a real rollercoaster this year and as much as today was embarrassing, the season overall was a success. I just hope we can take these lessons into 2019 and continue to improve.

Game plan will be tweaked a bit I'm sure. You can't afford to stand still in this competition, but this is a reactionary call. Our forwards didn't tackle, our midfielders didn't tackle and we let their mids walk the footy inside 50. Terrible effort and no team would have won today with our work rate and intensity.

Agree with this. He was shocking, but neither Lewis or Jones should be consistent best 22 next year. Because they aren't. Jones is worse IMO and the time for him to step down as captain is now warranted.

Who would have thought we'd be saying Richmond lack a Plan B? That's why I reckon our game style holds up better than theirs, because Richmond don't win clearance. Was up at 5.45 this morning and on the 7.40 to Adelaide. Spent the day here checking out the very boring town I was born in and the sis is meeting us tonight. We head off to Perth from here tomorrow morning at 7ish and head out on the 12.30am red eye tomorrow night. Was already exhausted going into this and Sunday morning I am going to be truly zonked. I hope those redlegs make it worth our while. Driving through Norwood we found this hanging. Is this a good omen?
