  1. Just threw up in my mouth a little.
  2. It pisses me off so much. Young kids who have been drafted and invested in saying, "wah wah I want to go hoooome". Unless you have serious family issues, such requests shouldn't be granted.
  3. Are you sure that number isn't the amount of contested marks Cameron has taken over the course of his career?
  4. Dawes would get very little value, and he's a hard trade because of his contract. I'd keep Dunn until Frost can string together a season with consistent football. If we get rid of Dunn and Frost can't get on the pitch then we're way too small down back. Pederson is better than Dawes but he's still an average football. What you have suggested with Dawes and Dunn is basically putting all of our eggs in one basket.
  5. There's no reason why he couldn't live out near Geelong and still play in Melbourne. I just don't buy that.
  6. He's disappointingly slow considering his size. Not quite sure where he fits in. I can see him maybe evolving into a Jetta-like player down back. Needs to clean up his disposal. His game against Adelaide last year was probably his best for the club. Hit the scoreboard early, pressured both up forward and down back. Still works hard and tries to get himself into the game but sometimes his awareness and skills let him down. Needs a big pre-season.
  7. If your wife were offered 700k extra to work that 2 hours away, she'd take it. Don't say she wouldn't.
  8. Luke Darcy on MMM saying Melbourne offered him $1.5 million over 6 years but he turned it down. Cited a reliable source. I can't believe that he would knock back an extra $700,000 a year.
  9. I actually want to keep him for this reason. He can be out Stevie J. Needs to be pushed along in the right direction. Goes off into the clouds during games and his urgency drops off but he is valuable imo. His first few years remind me a lot of Stevie J.
  10. Well, it is a business, whether you like it or not.
  11. Astonishing that this isn't being handled internally. Clearly it was just two brothers talking to one another casually. Now you have a player's name dragged through the mud for nothing.
  12. The Crows are going to miss him even more with Dangerfield gone.
  13. No wonder we picked Toumpas then.
  14. Geelong is going to have to pay overs to get him. Adelaide will match and pay him $1 million a year. Geelong will have to part with 2 first-round picks and a player because their picks alone won't do it. Can Geelong afford to give up draft picks at this stage? Danger is only 25, but...they're going to lose a lot of experience over the next few years and I'm not as encouraged by their depth as their fans are.
  15. Games he played early in the season were average but he did okay later on. Much prefer him as a depth filler player than the likes of M Jones.
  16. Reality is now that it's pointless trading him because we won't get anyone better. A valuable depth player but nothing more. Could spend a lot of time at Casey next year.
  17. He was great in every game he played. Was a better CHF decoy than Dawes. A better option, a better mark, more effective, faster, harder, more influential.
  18. It's completely viable that while Connors is talking to Melbourne, that the club in inquiring about Dangerfield. He would be absolutely crazy to accept less money to play in Geelong for a number of reasons. List quality and the fact the "go home" factor is irrelevant as you're only 1.5 hours at most away from Melbourne. I'd be disappointed if the club isn't pushing hard. Don't you think his manager would *want* Dangerfield to take more money? Of course he does...the club would be silly not to keep pushing. Him being at the club doesn't confirm anything other than the fact Melbourne is inquiring about players his managers. Dangerfield is part of that group. tl;dr Dangerfield to sign with Melbourne, 12 years, 12 million.
  19. Modern day Stephen Tingay?
  20. Confirmed coming to Melbourne.
  21. What if I do it without any expectation of receiving anything in return? Just 'cause?
  22. You make it sound like Geelong is more than a 1.5 hour drive from Melbourne. Gee whiz, he could live in the northern suburbs and it would take him just as long to get to work in peak hour! Astonishing, isn't it? He'd be crazy to take less more to play in Geelong. Why would you do that when you can get more money and play with an up-and-coming side? There must be more to it? The "go home" factor has nothing to do with it. People act like as if Geelong and Melbourne are in different countries. Geelong is just a suburb of Melbourne, really. It's to Melbourne what Milwaukee is to Chicago.
  23. I'm watching the game at Crown. One of Frawley's kicks just hit me in the head.
  24. Of course they were. Reality is that even as low down the pile the likes of Terlich and Jones are, they're still there for a reason. You obviously don't want them playing games as you don't want any depth players to be because it means you have a lot of injuries, but at the very least they're competent and probably more useful in defensive roles than what Riley and Bail are in attacking roles.
  25. I facepalmed so hard my hand went through my head, down to my arse.
