  1. Agree with the above.and if compare his career to date with the bloke taken the pick ahead of him, then we're doing very well for ourselves. Fact is he'd probably walk into the 22 as a small forward with Richmond, Carlton, Essendon at the least. Other players out of contract next year include Spencer, Grimes, Dawes, Watts, Pedersen, King, White & Harmes to name a few. There's a few other players on that list who probably have a right to be a bit more nervous then JKH.
  2. Terlich has never had a 3year contract. He had his initial two year contract for 2013/14 where he came 3rd in the Bluey in 2013 and played 14 games in 2014. Then received a two year contract for 2015/16 at the end of 2014. I agree he should have only got a one year extension, but the constant talk of him ever receiving 3 years is simply misinformed.
  3. They can. But you'd of thought they'd do that with Hunt before Michie.
  4. With Harmes upgrade and Hunt's extension, the club now has three options: 1. Delist Michie 2. Pay out Terlich 3. Pass on Pick 50 in the National Draft. I suspect they'll go with option 2, however option 3 is certainly right in play. Will be staggered if they delist Michie.
  5. Typical case of 2nd year blues after what was an impressive debut season (especially 1st half of the year). I think JKH is more of a high half forward then crumbing forward pocket, think more in the Trav Varcoe mould. He just needs to learn to apply maximum forward pressure and take his chances when they present. I went to a Casey v Werribee match late in the year where nothing went right for JKH, couldn't get near the ball and didn't have an impact on the match. But his pressure, chasing and tackling was really good and it was pleasing to see the kid keep his head up and work hard even when the chips were down. He's got some work ahead of him and isn't currently best 22, but i wouldn't write him off just yet.
  6. Elliot Kavanagh delisted by Essendrug yesterday. Highly rated junior who never got going at that cesspool of a place! Wonder how Goodwin and Macca rate him?
  7. I should have clarified and instead of saying Pick 46 & 50, said our 3rd & 4th Pick. So no, they're still the players i expect to be available to us.
  8. I had Potato skins for lunch at The Irish Times Hotel yesterday. Absolutely fantastic!
  9. For Pick 46 i'd love it if Thomas Cole was still available. Also like the look of Brayden Fiorini and James Pasons. All of them good running players off half back/wing with Cole & Parsons probably developing an ability to play more onball. Pick 50 I'd love to see us take a punt on Gach Nyuon the athletic raw Sudanese ruckman as i'm not sure he'd get through to our rookie Pick 6. Failing Nuyon, Kerbatieh sounds like he could be a handy addition. As for list spots, for me it needs to be either Hunt delisted or Terlich paid out to allow Harmes promotion. As long as Harmes does get his promition i'll accept whichever of the two the club picks.
  10. Certainly worth a look if he's still there at Pick 24 of the Rookie Draft. But as others have said, it would be as a forward. Not a defender.
  11. Correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't Francis from SA?
  12. Would also have to come into consideration. For mine though, given we already have Garlett, Kent, Kennedy & Kennedy-Harris on the list, both Tucker & Oliver fit our current needs more then Milera for now. Very good young player though.
  13. Brilliant to hear. Our best performance of the 2015 season after the Geelong game for mine. Looking forward to watching Hogan tear Rance a new one once again!
  14. Melksham yes Bugg yes Kennedy no with a fully fit list. Having said that, he has the most updide of the three.
  15. Newton & Stretch getting gigs before the likes of Tyson & Kent? Gee!
  16. If we decide to go tall at Pick 3 rather then Parish, then I'd be very happy to see us take Tucker at 7. Don't get me wrong i'm a big fan of Oliver at 7 also, but Tucker's probably a little more versatile.
  17. Agree with you here. If after we take Parish at 3, then Curnow, Francis & Weideman are taken from 4 - 6 then I'd be keen on us taking Oliver who's a complete beast or potentially Tucker.
  18. FB: Dunn, T. McDonald, Jetta HB: Lumumba, Frost, Melksham C: Bugg, N. Jones, Tyson HF: Vandenberg, Pedersen, Kent FF: Garland, Hogan, Garlett FOLL: Gawn, Vince, Viney INT: Brayshaw, Petracca, Salem, Watts BACKS: White, O. McDonald, Terlich, Grimes FORWARDS: Hunt, Dawes, Newton, King, Kennedy-Harris MIDS: Michie, Harmes, Neal-Bullen, M. Jones, Kennedy, Trengove, Stretch RUCKS: Spencer
  19. This tournament has been almost the perfect tournament for the All Blacks so far. They haven't put a foot wrong. Lets hope we put the Pumas away without issue tonight and then get ready for the David v Goliath final.
  20. Any players from that list we take will be in the rookie draft rather then as a DFA. We certainly need another ruckman, so if we miss out on Nuyon in the draft, then we'll likely rookie Redden or Moller.
  21. We're thinking along the same lines. I have Essendon bidding for him at (after academy selections) Pick 29.Pick 25 Western Bulldogs: Ah Chee Pick 26 Western Bulldogs: Skinner Pick 27 Fremantle: Mitch Brown Pick 28 West Coast: Rioli (Essendon bid on Rice) Pick 29 St Kilda: Rice
  22. If we're going for the full 1st round, I'll continue where i left off: 13. ADELAIDE: Burton(Carlton bid Pick 14 on Hipwood) 14. BRISBANE: Hipwood 15. CARLTON: H. McKay 16. RICHMOND: Francis 17. ADELAIDE: Bonner 18. ST KILDA: Mathieson 19. HAWTHORN: Tucker 20. GOLD COAST: Collins 21. NORTH MELBOURNE: Hibberd 22. HAWTHORN: B. McKay (Carlton bid Pick 23 on Dunkley) 23. SYDNEY: Dunkley 24. CARLTON: Gresham Will be interesting to see how it plays out.
  23. Brisbane bound I believe. Mahoney said we're unlikely to get any delisted free agents this year, so doubt we'll be in the picture.
