  1. 1. CARLTON: Weitering 2. BRISBANE: Schache (Melbourne bid Pick 3 on Mills) 3. SYDNEY: Mills 4. MELBOURNE: Parish (Essendon bid Pick 5 on Hopper) 5. GWS: Hopper (Essendon bid Pick 6 on Kennedy) 6. GWS: Kennedy 7. ESSENDON: Oliver 8. ESSENDON: Weideman 9. GOLD COAST: Millera 10. MELBOURNE: Curnow (Carlton bid Pick 11 on Keayes) 11. BRISBANE: Keayes 12. CARLTON: Balic
  2. First letme say i suspect that Jayden Hunt will be the unlucky one who is delisted before the end of next week allowing Harmes to be promoted. Leaves us with 4 senior list spots and 2 rookie list spots. 3. Darcy Parish: Outside speed and class, still with an ability to go inside and win his own hard ball. 7. Charlie Curnow: Doubt he'll still be available, but if so i think we'll take him. Powerful key forward who plays taller then his height but with an ability to push into the midfield. Curnow would be a great foil for Hogan, leaving Max King as the missing link. 46. Brayden Fiorini: Captain of the Northern Knights I think, and this wingman/half back flanker has a left foot that doesn't miss. Not the fastest for an outside mid but seems to have a Daniel Cross like ability to run to the right spots. 50. Gach Nyuon: As mentioned elsewhere, we need to develop another ruckman and Nyuon from Dandenong Stingrays is the most exciting prospect out there. Very raw and athletic, but given Gawn and Spencer are both now at the stage where they can play regular senior footy, now is the time to draft a fresh one. Think we should take him with our last live pick as i doubt he'll get to our first rookie selection. RD6. Cameron Giles: Delisted by Carlton after two horror injury seasons. Played 5 VFL games in 2014 and was pushing for selection before picking Trengove's injury. He made it back for two D league games late this season before being cut. 195cm Key back with very good pace and a strong mark was considered one of the best key backs in the 2013 draft. I was very keen on us drafting him at 40 until Carlton swooped at 39. Worth the rookie spot if he's past that foot IMO. RD24. Jake Lovett: Probably don't need to say much. Tough inside midfielder who's shown he can take a mark. Son of a gun! U18 team mate of Nyuon's which will hopefully help Gach withhis transition.
  3. Do people think Pick 7 is to early for Harrison McKay from Gippsland Power?
  4. Think there's next to no chance of us budding on any GWS players.Expect us to bid on Mills though.
  5. They're willingness to trade down from 3 to 6. To me it means that they're confident who they'd of taken at 3 will still be there at 6. Similar when we traded down from 2 to 9 a few years back. Add the fact Bennell's gone, questions marks over Prestia & O'Meara beyond 2016 and father time re: Ablett/Ritschitelli, I can see them looking for some more x factor and depth into that midfield/half forward area.
  6. This is what gives me hope that Francis could slip to us at 7. We take Parish & Essendon grab Curnow or Weideman (key forward) and the best mid (Balic or Matheison). Gold Coast who I get the impression are thinking outside the square go with Millera leaving Francis to us.
  7. My reasoning is that Essendon will take whichever of Parish or Curnow we pass at 3 with their Pick no 4. Will likely take Weideman at 5, Mathieson dark horse if they want a midfielder. Gold Coast I reckon wants Millera at 6. Francis ours at 7.
  8. No he didn't. He was positive about our future. He just said that 2016 would be a hold ground year.
  9. Plough massive about our future.
  10. Very confident two of Curnow, Francis or Parish will be ours. Will even go as far to say I reckon we'll have Francis at 7! For me it's a quesation of Parish or Curnow at 3.....
  11. Would it be possible thst the club completely blind side everyone and draft Francis at 3 and Darcy at 7? However when i say Darcy, on this occassion i mean Tucker! Some outside pace and poise to help us off half back/wing?
  12. 3. Parish 4. Weideman ( Bombers into him) 5. Mathieson (They'll want the next best mid) 6. Milera (Gold Coasts Bennell replacement) 7. Curnow/Francis (we take our pick)
  13. I think Gold Coast may be more inklined to go for a mid. With Bennell gone, question marks on whether O'Meara and Prestia will be there beyond 2016 and with Ablett & Ritschitelli another year older, they may look for some midfield depth.Wouldn't be suprised to see them take Milera or Ah Chee for a bit of x factor. Would be consistent with them expecting said player to still be available at Pick 6.
  14. Pretty sure we have picks 3, 7, 46 (may not use and get DFA instead), 82 (Vandenberg), 94 (Harmes)
  15. Pick 3 for me we have to take Parish. Clearly the best mid there is. I highly doubt Essendon will take two key position players at 4 & 5 and we likely know who Gold Coast are looking at, so i'm confident one of Curnow, Francis or Weideman will be there at 7. Where as if we took a key positionat 3 there's no chance Parish will still be there at 7.
  16. Jake Lovett who'll probably be available to us in the rookie draft.
  17. 43 was Gold Coasts 3rd rounder we got in the 6 for 3 deal. Was pushed from 40 to 43 after the FA compo picks were given out.
  18. Everything but Pick 46. We always had that, our 3rd round pick.
  19. Now I'm not one to blow my own horn, but I believe I was the first to suggest this as a possability!
  20. We can trade our 2017 1st round pick plus steak knives.
  21. No we don't, our Pick 43 was pushed back to 46 after Hawthorn, West Coast & Brisbane received their free agent compensation.
  22. We simply back ourselves in to improve and at least get close to playing finals next year. Then it's a win.
  23. Last one of these I swear.... Or maybe one for Jarred Redden, I'll see! With trade period drawing to a close, it looks as though we aren't going to land another key forward to support Hogan as Mahoney had talked about. Sure we may end up drafting one of Curnow, Francis, Weideman or maybe even one of the McKay boys at 29 if they slide that far. But either way, they'll need time to develop, so should we target someone for the now through the delisted free agent period. I've previously done a thread on Port's delisted forward Mason Shaw, but they've got another key forward they've delisted given their stocks by the name of Mitch Harvey who fits the bill. 20 years of age, 196cm, 100kg who's capable of holding down a key post and going into the ruck, which is something we've lacked. Two years in the system, however yet to debut as he's behind the likes of Schulz, Westhoff, then add the fact Power have played two rucks all year. Below are the write ups of his two years in the SANFL, and you'll notice until Round 18 this year when he seemed to hot a form slump, he'd been tracking very well. http://www.aflplayerratings.com.au/Ratings/Player/117353/Mitch-HARVEY Only highlights I could find were his U18 highlights. Looks a very good mark. All he'll cost is a spot on our list. I wouldn't be against taking him, but just feel we need to create one more space on our list. So whether we delist Hunt, pay out Terlich or trade Grimes for a pick upgrade I don't know. But could Harvey be worth a punt is what I want to know?
