  1. All young people play up to a degree. But this shows he has poor judgement. You could forgive him if he had of taken the test, but to drive drunk and then also refuse shows just how poor it is.
  2. Legislated BBP, 2 years is the minimum.
  3. Going with Parish only because I'm pretty confident one of Curnow or Weideman will still be there come Pick 7. Don't get me wrong, if we take Weid or Curnow at 3 and then end up with say Oliver at 7 I'll still be happy, but think Parish's speed & outside class is a bit more important for us then more inside grunt given we have the likes of Jones, Viney, Vandenberg, Neal-Bullen already.
  4. Announced the 13 man squad for the next today. Pattinson in (early) O'Keefe (baggy blue/baggy green selection) S. Marsh (FMD!)
  5. Not till Boxing Day.Give him a chance to build his fitness up.
  6. Struggling unfortunately Faulkner. Made 105 runs in 6 innings so far this season @ 17.50 with the bat. Taken 9 wickets @ 28.11 with the ball however at an economy of 2.69. I think Mitch Marsh keeps his spot due lack of options. I do think Marcus Stoinis is a better option personally as he is a batsman who can bowl more then useful medium pace. First class batting average of 39.5 with a bowling average of 61.71 with 14 wickets from 25 matches that doesn't read that well. However last Shield season he made 785 runs @ 49.06 and took 7 wickets @ 40.14 with an economy rate of 3.16 having bowled 88.4 overs, so he's a bit more then part time. So far this season he's yet to take a wicket, however is averaging 43 with the bat with two half centuries in his 4 digs. Having said that I reckon they'll stick fat with Marsh. Won't happen, but I'd like to see 4 changes for Adelaide with three debutants. OUT Johnson (ret) Khawaja (inj) Marsh (dropped) Hazlewood (dropped) IN Siddle Fawad Stoinis Klinger Australian XI Burns Warner Klinger Smith* Voges Stoinis +Nevill Starc Siddle Lyon Fawad Watch Hazlewood & Marsh keep their spots though.
  7. Further to my above comments re: Hazlewood, so far this series he's taken 4 wickets @ 68 with an economy rate of 3.8. With Johnson's retirement i really hope they do bring Siddle & Pattinson back into the XI. Could really do with Siddle's experience.Three wickets for Pattinson for the Vics today also helps his chances.
  8. I don't watch it myself, but amazed this thread didn't get bumped last week.
  9. Been out of action on this thread for some time. The thing that's annoyoing me is we're no longer seeing an even contest between bat & ball. New Zealand have done well to make something of this match, but teams shouldn't be making 400 & 500+ everytime they bat first which is sdaly becoming the trend in Australia. Agree with your point about trying to have one of England, India or South Arfica out here every year. And I thought I read somewhere that South Afrcia were going to come out for Boxing Day again, but I'll have to search for that. On an individual note, Australia should be concerned about the significant loss of form of Mitchell Johnson. Since the start of the Ashses, Johnson has taken 20 wickets in 6.5 tests (including this one up till stumps Day 3) @ 40.90 form 204.1 overs, meaning he's also going at 4 runs an over. I think it's fair to say Mitchell Starc has become the leader of our attack. Josh Hazlewood has also been hugely disapointing. It must be said, that our wickets have turned into roads, but if that is the case then CA should look at players like Siddle who know how to bowl on these dead wickets. For me, I'd look at bringing Pattinson & Siddle in for Johnson & Hazlewood. I'd bring Siddle in as early as the Adelaide test, and maybe hold Pattinson over until Boxing Day, just to give Mitch a few more tests to get his mojo back. As for the question of who comes in for Khawaja. I hope Klinger gest his chance, he's in great form, and at his age you can justify him coming in for cover for two test matches given he can bat anywhere. Also if Handscomb can make some runs in the 2nd Innings he'd have to come into consideration given he made a 100 in the openning Shield Match and didn't get a chance to bat v NSW. If Shaun Marsh comes back into the test team, I'd have to consider giving it away I think!
  10. One non playing year in the number 26 and Track changes numbers already? Thought Billy may have requested a change from 15 to 18, but obviously keen to get his own identity with 15. Parish 13 is looking likely.
  11. Agreed. I thought if we were to delist a player and then look to re-rookie them, then Jauden Hunt would have been most likely. Or even do it with Terlich, just like St Kilda have with Josh Saunders who's also contracted. I thought Michie had shown enough to warrant a new deal, even for only 12 months ahead of a speculative Pick 50 (to be amneded) in a shallow draft. I'm guessing the club think there was greater chance of Michie lasting until whichever rookie draft pick we select him at then there was of Hunt. Why they didn't look at rookie listing Terlich I don't know? Either way, I hope we're able to re-draft Michie, as there's a very good chance someone else may swoop.
  12. Well Doggies got rid of Talia. Tom Williams also retired last year & Morris isn't getting any younger, so they may use Pick 27 on Skinner if they think he may not last to 47. He's one of those players who could go anywhere from about Pick 20 onwards.
  13. Daniel Gorringe signed with Carltank. http://www.afl.com.au/news/2015-11-09/blues-boost-ruck-stocks-with-delisted-free-agent-gorringe Still hopeful we land Parella, but if Andre is gone by the time we get around to picking a ruckman (likely rookie draft) then Gorringe was an option I was hoping we'd have. Rucks still worth considering for me: Andre Parella (Sturt & SA U18's) Craig Moller (Fremantle) Gach Nuyon (Dandenong Stingrays) Darcy Cameron (Claremont) Jarred Redden (Port Adelaide) And that's about it. Not a lot of ruck options out there that I can think of.
  14. So we'll find out today for certain whether Michie was contracted for 2016 or not. 2:00pm is the deadline for OOC players to nominate for the draft, with the 2nd list lodegement dut tomorrow. Looks like it must have been a 3 year deal he was initially on.
  15. My mail is the Doggies are into Skinner and may use a 2nd round pick on him.
  16. Mitch Harvey & Lloyd Perris in the rookie draft, subject to who we pick up in the national draft.
  17. Absolutely i thought there would be some signings. Didn't think we'd see a signing each day or anything, but thought we would have seen some. Especially from someone like Geelong who have several list vacancies and aren't entering a shallow draft until Pick 60 odd. There's some handy players available and we've seen DFA'S signed every year so far.
  18. Five days down of the first DFA period with only 4 days to go and we're still yet to see any signed. Obviously not a good year for the DFA!
  19. Difficult one. As some have said, 94 was probably a little more talented at it's best, but for me I can't go past 98'. The Ox at CHF, Neitz at FF, Lyon as a third tall. The Wiz as the best small forward running around, and then throw in a young Russell Robertson and Shaun Smith couldn't even get a game despite kicking 5 on Queens Birthday. Also recall him taking a screamer in the Reserves before the Melbourne v St Kilda semi final.
  20. If Brett Anderson's on the money then i suspect it'll be Curnow & Oliver with the other option being Parish/Weideman. Curnow/Oliver is probably the safer option with Parish/Weideman having greater upside.
  21. He has a lot of natural ability and has the potential to become a CHF/2nd ruck option. However if Curnow or Weideman were available i'd expect us to take them over McKay as Harry will need more development time before he's ready to play. I've predicted McKay would go to Carlton with the pick they got off the Bulldogs.
  22. Sounds like your speaking about Andre Parella (ruck) & Greg Clark (wing).
  23. Not against taking him in the Rookie draft depending on what our list is looking like after the National Draft. His WAFL form has been very good. http://www.aflplayerratings.com.au/Ratings/Player/117062/Brant-COLLEDGE
  24. Yes, by the skin of his teeth. But i have the likes of Trengove, Parish*, Curnow*, Harmes, Stretch & Neal-Bullen missing out initially. So if Jack doesn't perform, he'll be on the chopping block quick smart. *If we draft them.
