Alright, looking at the filth's list there's a player of similar age and games experience who could fill some of the Suns needs. Ben Reid! So we trade Picks 6 to Gold Coast with Howe, Pick 25 & 64 to the filth. Collingwood trade Kennedy & Pick 47 to us while sending Reid & Seedsman to Gold Coast Gold Coast trade Pick 35 to Collingwood while Pick 3 & Gorringe to us (takes care of our ruck issues). We loose picks 6, 25, 64 & Howe Gain Pick 3, 47, Kennedy & Gorringe Collingwood loose Reid, Seedsman, Kennedy & Pick 47 Gain Howe, 25, 35 & 64 Gold Coast loose Picks 3, 35 & Gorringe Gain Pick 6, Reid & Seedsman Probably to complicated though.

We get Collingwood to come up with something to send to the Suns in Howe's place. Simple!

I like your thinking, but i'm affraid it's dead. You can't substitute Howe for Seedsman in that deal. One helps GC with their marketing. The other doesn't.

If picks 3 - 5 end up reading Francis, Parish, Curnow then i'll be really annoyed! But I remain optimistic that Curnow will still be there. Reckon if St Kilda hold onto 5 then they'll take Mathieson, if Essendon have it they may go Weideman and if Adelaide have it they could go a local boy.

I don't think we're as heavily into him as others. Club has commented publicly on all of Melksham, Bugg and Kennedy. Not so Bastinac. He may be more of an after thought.

More keen on the Gold Coast deal as it nets us Pick 3 to grab Parish.

If he chooses Collingwood, then they give us Kennedy & Pick 24 or 27 and we agree to nothing less. Would still be annoyed, but at least we get Kennedy and another 2nd round pick to use on Bugg/Melksham. Otherwise we tell Collingwood he'll go into the PSD to find a new home on the Gold Coast.

This Even if we had to throw in Pick 45 with Toump to get Pick 29 and maybe their 4th or 5th round pick, that would still be better then just Pick 49 for Toump. I'd rather us retain him or make him go into the PSD then take Pick 49 for him.

Or we should offer them Toump. As Mahoney said on Monday, Toump isn't set on returning to SA. Just another club should help give him the fresh air he needs.

You make a good point. Although it could very well turn into another Poleac situation and he has a break out year with them. One good thing about Jimmy is though I reckon he'll do what's also good for the club as well as himself. If we say we can get a better return with another club I reckon he'd be open to it.

So in a perfect world, it sounds like from this trade period we might be looking at something like: Howe & Pick 6 to Gold Coast Picks 3 & 35 (received from Fremantle for Bennell) back to Melbourne Pick 35 to Collingwood for Kennedy Grimes & Pick 45 to Richmond Pick 31 back to Melbourne Pick 31 to GWS Bugg back to Melbourne Toumpas to Port Pick 29 to Melbourne Pick 29 to Essendon Melksham to Melbourne We get Melksham, Bugg, Kennedy, Pick 3 (Darcy Parish) & hold onto Pick 25 (James Parsons or one of the McKay boys) in exchange for: Howe, Grimes, Toumpas, Pick 6 & 45 Would be brilliant!
