  1. As above. Anyone see Billy and Joel Smith out there today?
  2. Very early I know as it isn't until early August, but this tweet (on the club website) caught my eye of a potential multiple Gold Medal winner at the upcoming Olympic Games! Mack Horton ‏@_mackhorton 12h12 hours ago Looking forward to getting down to the G on Sunday for my first game of the year and supporting the mighty @melbournefc #carnthedees 7 retweets39 likes Reply Retweet 7 Like 39 More Good to see the young man has good taste! Speaking of, they've announced the Australian Swim team and this Dees fan I believe will be competing in the 1500m, 400m and potentially the 4x200m relay team. http://www.theaustralian.com.au/sport/rio-olympics/rio-olympics-2016-australian-swim-team-announced/news-story/1604449d14a24d54b708b2c88f63eb87 Lets hope the whole Australian Olympic team has a better games then we had in London. Don't know if I could sit through another living version of the Bermagui Bronze!
  3. I'm sure you enjoyed your moment over him in the 1990 elimination final!
  4. If Garlett doesn't get through training today then obviously i'd love to see Petracca debut Sunday Night. If Garlett does get through training and they take a 23rd man on standby in case there's a late change, meaning the 23rd man can't play at Casey, i'd rather them take Neal-Bullen or Garland. Petracca can use all the minutes in his legs he can get.
  5. Along with the obvious enquiry to anyone that goes as to how Jeff goes with his fitness test. Can people please keep a look out for Billy Stretch & Joel Smith. Neither on the injury list and neither named for the two Casey teams. Stretch was 23rd man last week and didn't see Smith cop an injury so wonder if either of them make it onto the track today? Cheers.
  6. From what i hear they certainly leave the food from the Holden Centre last week for dead! Always a good spread at Casey Fields.
  7. Hadn't picked up on his absence. Good point! I'll be there BJ. Not sure where i put the brandy, so it'll have to be rum this week!
  8. I expect Petracca & Garland will play at Casey Saturday Night and Neal-Bullen to be 23rd man.
  9. https://mobile.twitter.com/CaseyScorpions/status/723066327963852800/photo/1 No Dawes. Next week we should see his return i guess along with Oliver, Oscar, Spencer & potentially Matt Jones.
  10. 24 hours is a long time i guess! Looks like Dawes may be back though which is good. May mean Hulett needs to go into defence to cover Oscar though as i can't see them playing all of Dawes, Weideman, Tim Smith & Hulett all in the same forward line at Casey.
  11. Don'tthink we'll drop M Jones & Hunt,we lack outside run as it is, so i expect at least one will be kept in the team. I still think they'll rest Oliver. Roos mentioned he was nearly rested for Round 3, so with these selection headaches, it's as good a time to rest him as any.
  12. Just did my own research. On 4 occasions a team has had 12 wins and missed the 8. Richmond in 98, Hawthorn in 03, St Kilda in 12 & Port last year. Having said that teams have also made the 8 with as few as 10 wins. I reckon 12 will get us there. I think we're capable of winning up to 15 however think the actual number will be a lot closer to 9 and we'll miss them this year.
  13. Since the introduction of the final 8, has a team ever missed the 8 with 12 wins or more? From memory they haven't. So if you have us with 13 or 14 wins we should be fighting for 5th/6th position.
  14. I'm assuming that by this list that Oscar, Jeff & Vandenberg have all pulled up well?
  15. Having Garland as depth doesn't bother me too much. Think his best shot would be to reinvent himself as a forward given we now have Oscar, Wagner & White all gunning for his spot and Melksham to join the list next year. As for Salem, i'm not concerned. Think he's being allowed to develop his game nicely. In a few years time (post Vince & Jones) we will see him spending big minutes in the midfield with the likes of Viney, Oliver, Petracca, Brayshaw, Tyson etc...
  16. IN: Garlett, Vince OUT: M. Jones (stiff, but the above two have to come in), Oliver (rested) FB: Wagner, Dunn, Jetta HB: Lumumba, T. McDonald, Salem C: Bugg, N. Jones, Tyson HF: Harmes, Hogan, Kent FF: Watts, Pedersen, Garlett FOLL: Gawn, Vince, Viney INT: Brayshaw, Frost, Hunt, Kennedy EMERG: M. Jones, Petracca, Vandenberg Matt Jones very stiff, but I don't know who else to leave out? Roosy seems to like giving new kids a couple of games, so don't think it will be Hunt, be who knows? I'd have Matt Jones as the 23rd man given how unlucky he is. Petracca can have another run at VFL level.
  17. He was having his break out year in 2004 until he broke his foot 3/4 of the way through the season. Just after that is when our season came of the rails.
  18. And if i hear the channel 7 commentators cream themselves over Stringer again i think i'm going to be sick! Very good player, but gee, give it a rest fellas!
  19. Current free kick count Bulldogs 20, Carltank 5. JOKE!
  20. The reason why what Langdon says sounds like BS is because he says that if Hogan could be playing in Perth now he would be. Fact is Hogan could be playing in Perth if he wanted to, yet he signed a contract extension towards the end of 2014.
  21. Yeah ok Karl that makes perfect sense. 'He would already be back if he could' Then why is he currently into his 2nd conract at Melbourne Karl?
  22. Did anyone else hear Huddo & Dr Turf on SEN about half an hour ago talking about the rumor of no Hogan? Anyone know if he trained today?
  23. Keilty 194cm & 88kg Wagner only rookie promoted so far Misson says Trengove will play. Anyone know how Lovett tracked in the D League last week?
  24. Just for this year. Apparently they're still in negotiations for 2017 says my Saints supporter wife.
