Some years ago they used to have a "D" train leave "Southern Cross" Station to go down to Geeeelong. It was the same with flags and red and blue everywhere. Always a great trip down but usually a morose trip home.

If as you state that Neeld has fractured a playing group, then obviously you know which players feel "fractured". If you do have that information why dont you reveal all the names. I would have thought that the last quarter shows he can get the players to lift. Given the previous three weeks that if there was ever a time when they were going to roll over it was the final quarter of Sunday's game. To me it showed a greater strength of character and a deep desire and conviction from the team to not just win but really play out the game. Maybe I am easily pleased. They did play some awful football on Sunday but when the crunch came they were all there together. That game was so important in terms of confidence. Despite their own confidence in the way that they were training the win showed that it could be transferred to game day. Who cares whether it was GWS or Nar Nar Goon North. It didn't matter. What mattered was the lift in the players spirit. I watched them run off with heads held high instead stooped and shattered. These young men needed Sunday as did the supporters. We have been through over twelve months of shite so FFS lets enjoy the moment.

Nate Jones also patted Scully on head - but no mention of that of course.

Also maybe because instead of just caving in they actually found that something that we know is there - determination and guts. Things that we haven't seen too much of late.

Just watched the media conference with Jack and he sniffed and swallowed all the way through the conference. Quite possibly played with a head cold or flu.

BBO my comments were made in response to another poster who said that he thought Watts had been jeered. I don't even know why I am responding to you.

I thought Jack made some good footy decisions today and certainly in front of the MCC members showed some determination which has been missing for the last three weeks. His kicks out were OK. I think there were elements today that should boost his confidence. Down our end (MCC members) there was certainly no booing or jeering. In fact I think it was the opposite and everyone was willing him to do well and when he did make the second and third efforts was applauded.

If Mitch is unable to play next week do we bring Spencer in to play in the ruck and put Jamar down forward. I'm just thinking that in the past Jamar has been an excellent mark and kick for goal and giving him a break from the centre bounce may be the opportunity for him to find that flair that seems to have gone missing this year. Who comes in for JV - Macca. He could tag Moloney all game. Hold his arms down so he can't point.
