Have been told (cant vouch for the source) that Freo has offered $1.2 for 4 yrs PLUS a guarantee he will be employed as an indigenous ambassador for 10 yrs post career.. Its starting to smell...the AFL will have their hand all over it,

Don't get it... Neither have coached again??

If you think ND isn't smart then you are the dumb one. He has been involved continuously at other clubs and would be a significantly better coach the second time around. As would most people. Not sure about you though!

THE WILSON FILE - the arrogance at the heart of the innuendo
jnrmac replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
The members of the Gardner Board nearly destroyed our club. Collectively they set us back a long way. They get zero credit from me and in fact I hold them responsible [censored] told us supporters about how healthy our club was. If I find out members of their board have been undermining the club in the tanking investigation I will work hard towards ensuring they pay for their actions. -

You're kidding aren't you?? Didn't you know Melbourne players are allowed to be assaulted in the pre-season without any fear of retribution ???? Ask Col Sylvia about his jaw.....

Hmm doesn't bode well if there is more dirty laundry to be aired...... A quick kill is required or the wound will fester... -
I'm with you. Prefer Jesse "the body" Hogan for those fans of WWF.....also reminds me of Elle.....

Do you really think so?? I think you're being harsh. 2013 is only his TENTH year at the club. Lets give him a few more years to see what he can do. I mean he's hardly had pre-season but BOY, when he does, look out...

Just watched the replays: Sylvia was next to useless. Here we go again. I see a long spell at Casey on that form. McKenzie does no damage. Gillies is behind Sellar Our defence is still highly suspect. We don't work hard enough without the ball. Teams keep possession and switch with ease. We simply do not get our hands on the footy enough and can't keep it when we do. Our clearance work was a real worry. Slaughtered. Endeavour and commitment seemed to be a notch above last year. Probably needs to be three notches above. Previous comments about Jimmy, Hogan and JV seems spot on. Our turnovers under no pressure will continue to kill us this year unless we can turn it around.

Ha ha Humble pie. Its a beauty isn't it??

Well I look forward to hearing about it BUT not if we are going to spend the next two years mired in crap and in-fighting. We need to move on as a club and focus on winning games of footy. -
He's carrying too much weight, How do we get him to lighten up....... And BTW he doesn't smile much so he must be going home....

Noice...

What were his stats for arm waving and pointing to spaces for other teamates to fill??? Yep, he would have topped them too....

Suggest you watch the Liberatore footage.... -
Think I answered my own question on Hogan's ineligibility From the 2009 draft, players must be at least 18 years of age on 31 December in the year in which they are drafted, so that players who turn 18 during their first months of Year 12 will be able to finish studying without the pressure of AFL. This was increased over the past few years due to concerns about school age players potentially having to leave home to play football interstate So the question is: Is Hogan still studying?? If not he should be able to play.....

Can you explain why??He is now 18. Is there a cut off date or something??

Good day at he club. Little Junior got around 28 signatures and was very happy. Tappy is one big unit. Jack Watt's beard is woeful. Joel Mac is a lot bigger than I thought.\The two Captains were great with the fans Jamar said he was a bit sore from the hitout Mitch is itching to get back but is unlikely to be ready for Rd 1 Rodan is a happy unit. Byrnes seemed pretty content and was chatty. Sylvia was swanning around like a superstar. Was very obliging with the autographs but I always get the impression he loves the trappings of being an AFL player Bail is disappointed to be held back with concussion. Asked him to count the fingers I was holding up and he said it was the 50th time today.... Great event from the club. It works well there.

Interesting Patrick Smith is calling for Schwab's sacking as Bailey reported to Connolly who reported to him. He said this of Demetriou who was calling for greater governance standards in the AFL: "He could start by asking why Melbourne's chief executive, Cameron Schwab, has not resigned in the wake of another catastrophic episode in the club's history. Bailey reported to Connolly, who reported to Schwab. Whether Schwab knew that Connolly and Bailey were preparing sides to lose is irrelevant. They were answerable to him."
