Think I answered my own question on Hogan's ineligibility From the 2009 draft, players must be at least 18 years of age on 31 December in the year in which they are drafted, so that players who turn 18 during their first months of Year 12 will be able to finish studying without the pressure of AFL. This was increased over the past few years due to concerns about school age players potentially having to leave home to play football interstate So the question is: Is Hogan still studying?? If not he should be able to play.....

Can you explain why??He is now 18. Is there a cut off date or something??

Good day at he club. Little Junior got around 28 signatures and was very happy. Tappy is one big unit. Jack Watt's beard is woeful. Joel Mac is a lot bigger than I thought.\The two Captains were great with the fans Jamar said he was a bit sore from the hitout Mitch is itching to get back but is unlikely to be ready for Rd 1 Rodan is a happy unit. Byrnes seemed pretty content and was chatty. Sylvia was swanning around like a superstar. Was very obliging with the autographs but I always get the impression he loves the trappings of being an AFL player Bail is disappointed to be held back with concussion. Asked him to count the fingers I was holding up and he said it was the 50th time today.... Great event from the club. It works well there.

Interesting Patrick Smith is calling for Schwab's sacking as Bailey reported to Connolly who reported to him. He said this of Demetriou who was calling for greater governance standards in the AFL: "He could start by asking why Melbourne's chief executive, Cameron Schwab, has not resigned in the wake of another catastrophic episode in the club's history. Bailey reported to Connolly, who reported to Schwab. Whether Schwab knew that Connolly and Bailey were preparing sides to lose is irrelevant. They were answerable to him."

Wouldn't mind if Vineys first 100 games are like Selwood's.........3 flags..

It would be ironic of Carltank were sanctioned because of this just after MM arrived. From memory the last premiership coach saviour for their club, Dennis Pagan, was cruelled by the salary cap cheating revelations not long after he arrived. Would stop MM in is tracks. Couldn't happen to two better blokes (MM and DP) and a better club. Cut em off at the knees.

THE WILSON FILE - the arrogance at the heart of the innuendo

They have no jurisdiction over her. She would tell them to sod off. -
OK Apols. Was written in haste. I think in time we deserve answers. Its a boys club so don't expect any soon.

Grow a pair. Its over. we did what we did and we have copped a whack. Anything that was done was done with the interests of the club first and foremost. There is no personal enrichment or shady deals. We lost a PP in 2003 and 2007. SOme say it was stolen from us both times. In 2009 we had the spectre of GWS and the SUns coming in to the comp where the draft picks would be distorted for some years. We are here now and we need to be united and we need to say F*** off to every other club and the AFL. Particularly the media. DOnt waste time getting angry at our club and its board or other members or other members of Ology or 'Land. Focus on supporting Mark Neeld and our playing group for 2013. We need everyone on the same reality bus. Go Dees.

Actually he drives a yellow Vespa... -
Surely its on the 800 page report, If not what the F else is in there???
-
That is still better value than Cale. No bigger spud has ever played 70 games for the Dees.

DOn't care so long as that F****er Robinson gets pole-axed.
-
Prendergast was so upset with tanking he resigned and went to.........Carlton... Hangon ,that's what Brock did...... The thot plickens.....
-
DOnt even joke about that.....
-
Meh we paid $500k for a no 1 draft pick. Good value really.
-
While I am happy this is over I am furious that our club has been so incompetent in its dealings with its own staff and the administration of our footy dept. That there are so many disgruntled ex-employees is very poor. That we needed to have a meeting to discuss tanking is insane. There was probably email evidence as well. We have had a decade of footy administration incompetence. I hope to hell we are over it. FFS we can't even lose properly.
-
The club being found not guilty was incredibly important. Not only for the Bentleigh licence but also for sponsorship and our integrity as a club moving forward. Even though this whole sage gives me the Jimmy Brits the net result is this. We paid $500k for a no 1 draft pick. You would do that every day of the week.
-
It was in 2012 as well. The Whitfield Shield. GWS rested 8 players. Oh and they happened to get the No 1 pick after that. Go figure. Don't hold your breath for that investigation The REAL culprit here is disgruntled ex-employees and no matter what CW or Denham or Smith have said, none of this would be possible if we didn't have rats in the ranks (well ex ranks). We have some blood on our hands by the way we have treated employees. Not everyone leaves a job happy but e seem to have made a lot of enemies along the way. Along with CC's 'conspiracy within the club' line there is a serious issue that needs to be addressed by the club. We must move on from this shiite and focus on unity and winning games of footy,

DB dropped the hand grenade when he had his sacking presser. Possibly wasn't thinking clearly but I bet we all wish he never said what he did. Deserves it for that.
-
Jon Ralph just tweeted Dees Media Mgr rushes from training - to prepare for tanking finding??
-
IF true that we have a case to answer it can only be that we had a meeting where it was actively discussed and enough people in the report have verified that. That would have been the likely info CW took to the AFL and said "what are you going to do about this?" I hope the names of those squealers are in the report and the club is aware of who they are. I'd like the club to name names before we move fwd from this.
-
IF DB is sanctioned, he only has himself to blame. His presser on dismissal was one big grenade.

Let me answer the question. Were the players told to lose. No.
