While I am happy this is over I am furious that our club has been so incompetent in its dealings with its own staff and the administration of our footy dept. That there are so many disgruntled ex-employees is very poor. That we needed to have a meeting to discuss tanking is insane. There was probably email evidence as well. We have had a decade of footy administration incompetence. I hope to hell we are over it. FFS we can't even lose properly.

The club being found not guilty was incredibly important. Not only for the Bentleigh licence but also for sponsorship and our integrity as a club moving forward. Even though this whole sage gives me the Jimmy Brits the net result is this. We paid $500k for a no 1 draft pick. You would do that every day of the week.

It was in 2012 as well. The Whitfield Shield. GWS rested 8 players. Oh and they happened to get the No 1 pick after that. Go figure. Don't hold your breath for that investigation The REAL culprit here is disgruntled ex-employees and no matter what CW or Denham or Smith have said, none of this would be possible if we didn't have rats in the ranks (well ex ranks). We have some blood on our hands by the way we have treated employees. Not everyone leaves a job happy but e seem to have made a lot of enemies along the way. Along with CC's 'conspiracy within the club' line there is a serious issue that needs to be addressed by the club. We must move on from this shiite and focus on unity and winning games of footy,

IF true that we have a case to answer it can only be that we had a meeting where it was actively discussed and enough people in the report have verified that. That would have been the likely info CW took to the AFL and said "what are you going to do about this?" I hope the names of those squealers are in the report and the club is aware of who they are. I'd like the club to name names before we move fwd from this.

IF DB is sanctioned, he only has himself to blame. His presser on dismissal was one big grenade.

Your ideals of our sport were lost a long time ago...... 8 months of investigation and no decision - disgraceful. Demetriou - head in the sand on too many issues. Deny deny deny. Monopolies do that and need good governance to be controlled. Sadly ours is pathetic, politically correct, morally bankrupt.

I'm convinced that Caro forced this investigation not Brock McLean. Caro went to the AFL with a brief of 'evidence' from a disgruntled ex-employee. Its why she has run so hard with the story. AA was running it and I have no doubt was her liaison but the leaks as we are seeing them are actually her repeating the 'evidence' that was told to her. There is no other logical reason she has carried on the way she has.

Great. We had one of those for the past 5 years. Beemer was a master at directing traffic. Waving his arms and pointing at others to do the hard running. Needs to put in consistently. 8 years and we are still waiting. This is such a bulltish argument. Col is bone lazy. He was an outstanding Junior footballer who did things easily and never really had to work hard. At AFL level he has talent to burn but not the smarts or dedication. Unfortunately we had such a crap culture that his weak efforts were never weeded out. Yep he has a few injuries but lots of players have 'em. COl uses his a crutch and an excuse. I have watched his efforts closely and his second and third efforts are rare. We saw some good signs in the last 6 games of 2012 and Neeld is a hard taskmaster so we will see. We all hope he will become the footy player we know he can be but there have been so many false dawns I wouldn't be holding my breath.

Can we pls just ignore the media SPECULATION for a couple of days. There is no point in beating ourselves up over this. It will be what it will be. The club will make the decision it thinks is best, Nothing said here will change ANYTHING. Save you indignation/outrage etc until we no exactly what the situation is. Its a couple of days . We are united as a club. It will make us stronger. Those f****ers that squealed in a report about us will get what they deserve. The AFL will get what they deserve in the court of public opinion. We just want to win games.

At the risk of sounding obvious its a team sport and among other things we have not been playing like a team. Neeld is training us that way and we have a group that looks like they will play that way. That and contested footy are his philosophy. Collingwood and the Swans play like real teams. Individually their bottom 8 cattle aren't great but as a team they gel very well. Plenty of ordinary players have played in premierships and while some have been lucky usually its because they are role players who do a job. STrauss can definitely be that player.

Yeah but they have changed every other rule in the last 10 years. There's hardly a rule from the original that hasn't been tinkered with....
