I think everyone got it wrong, Sadly thats the way it is. In all walks of life there is a huge difference between knowing what needs to be done and doing it. Knowing what makes a leader and leading. Great leaders make it look easy and effortless. It is anything but. You only have to look at politics and world leaders. It is often said leaders are born not made and while I think that is true in many cases its not true of all. That's why experience is an imperative for us. We can't afford another untried coach and the club has said as much.

Ridiculous comment - on a whim. He has had 5 yrs They decided they were not going to renew his contract. So they told him and asked if he wanted to coach out the rest of the year. he declined. I actually think they handled it well given its is never an easy or pleasant thing to do particularly given he is a club legend. The other thing that was impressive is that no-one had an idea. I wish our club was as sound as that, We have leaked like a sieve.

Bombers scandal: charged, <redacted> and <infracted>
jnrmac replied to Jonesbag's topic in Melbourne Demons
...but we are not guilty And you forgot to add: 1. their own internal investigation by an independent (Essendon supporting nuclear physicist) said they were running a "pharmacological experiment" and that the governance was "non-existent" even though the Doctor wrote a letter to the board that they never received (really?) and the CEO who claims he know nothing was signing cheques for around $100k including one for $60k. 2. The AFL warned them not to go near peptides 3. Their coach said he took full responsibility 4. the players all signed waivers - why would they do that?? Here is some aspirin please sign a waiver. I am glad they are taking on the AFL - they can only lose and lose big. In legal situations where a defendant shows no remorse nor admits any wrongdoing they get hit extra hard. Hirdy is gonna take the whole club down. Yeah. -

WTF is the AFL commission doing in all of this? This is the biggest scandal to hit the sport in probably 150 years. The Commission are custodians of the game. We haven't heard a word from them. Its a far king disgrace What is Mike Fitzpatrick doing?? What is avid Essendon supporter Linda Dessau doing sitting up there in judgement on Essendon?? Bill Kelty is supposedly absenting himself from discussions about Essendon being an avid Essendon supporter himself but who knows what is going on. They are asleep at the wheel. At a time when the game needs a strong statement about where it sits on drugs in sport and cheating it is doing nothing but hiding behind an ASADA report and letting Dimwit make public utterances. He should have nothing to do with this, It should be the Commission itself. And if they aren't taking the lead on this then WTF are they doing?? What is their job/role? I can't believe no one in media land is screaming about this. If this was a company then the Chairman of the Board (ie: Fitzpatrick) would be front and centre in sorting out the mess. The AFL are a joke.

Yep it was a DC 4 flying low - the same one they used to get to Wangaratta for a NAB cup game.....

I am convinced it is not so much poor kicking as poor running to position. Yes we have some atrocious kicks but watch the good teams - they usually kick to space and let the running player run on to it. Actually you need footy smarts, desire and gut running to do that. Won't happen at Melbourne. Richmond were worse than us a few years back. Much the same personnel and look at them. Confidence and fitness are huge in this regard.

I think I might be agreeing too. Isn't that sad. And if he goes we will have lost two number 1 picks in 2 yrs. FMD that is appalling

Yeah we'd kill it with Clark. Our 20 inside 50s would give him every opportunity to smash the opposition,.. And BTW have a look at HFCs record without Buddy.....
