People are bagging Frawley for his pathetic attack on the ball in the 2nd half of the season saying he has 'checked out'. Its a cancer in a team and causes others to say 'why should I be bothered chasing when my team mates don't' blah blah. This is absolutely right. The AFL knows it and has tried to play the 'good for the competition' card in keeping the AFLPA in line. It was always a matter of time. But it was designed for ageing players who could extend their careers (a la Daniel Cross) or possibly get a 1/2yr deal to play in a final etc. The way it has worked out is alarming and needs to be looked at ASAP or the bottom four teams will simply be feeders for the top 4.

I guess one point is critics are saying we don't deserve a PP. Carlton have had more help than us. Carlton were a basket case. Not so much now although not far off one IMO. They did win 3 spoons in a row. Even at our worst we haven't done that.

Carlton has had more PPs than us. We are also the only club to have won games late in a year to deny ourselves a PP. And we did it twice. The Kruezer cup and I think in 1999. I also suspect the timing of this has something to do with Chip..
