  1. Really? He was there 2 weeks ago when Smith hurt his hip. They switched in the second half.
  2. He should be. Hasn't played since rd 16 and only acted as the runner in the reserves game last week.

How is Jack Watts doing this year?

Do you understand English? Even if you are right (and you're not by a long way) there is a huge difference between providing a defence of someone's actions and condoning them. Wow.
  5. Didn't you know OMac was Polly Farmer and Leigh Mathews reincarnated?

    oh dear....
  7. Yes it was good to see him play again but he is not an important player. He was a fringe player that has played 28 games. I like his attack on the ball and think he can become a good player but he is nowhere near that measure now.
  8. Please. My views on OMac are well known so I won't rehash them but even his most ardent supporters wouldn't countenance OMAc playing anywhere else but FB.

@Bobby McKenzie I have just read every one of @McQueen's posts on the topic. You made this up. In fact he specifically states he does not condone the actions. Best you just withdraw your statement for the fake news it is and apologise to McQueen.

You made the statement that posters were almost condoning the thuggery and I said bull shite. Because it is. No one here has done that.
  11. I wouldn't say that... Frost to buddy. The Swans don't really have any other tall forwards...
  12. The AGE .. enough said. Its no wonder they have ended up being under takeover...
  13. Another thought on this..the whole niggle, off the ball bumps, scragging and pinching etc that some players do to try and keep ball players like Ablett, Cripps and Oliver off their game is generally the basis for a lot of this retaliatory stuff. Didn't watch the game so can't comment on Brayshaw and Gaff but in general the AFL has been very poor at policing and eradicating this stuff. Its a blight on the game and on good players. Eradicating it would go a long way to eradicating the hits both on and of the ball methinks.. Zero tolerance and consistency would see it stop pretty quickly...
  14. Incidents like this are rare. This is maybe the 3rd time since 2008 we have seen such a brutal outcome? Zero would of course be better but these guys play on the edge. If there is any surprise its that more don't go over the edge.

Seriously, what Bull Shite. Fake news. Name and shame them. I'll wait.
  16. Answered your own question.
  17. No. In this case the ump didn't even see it. Hard to red card that. How can it ever be consistent? And what if a mistake is made? What repercussions will there be (none). The AFL can't even get the tribunal right, the umps can't get frees right and the goal review is a farce. Ours is the only physical contact 360 degree game in the world to my knowledge. Its an incredibly hard game to adjudicate. Leave it alone.

The hysteria over what should happen to Gaff is absurd, Just as it was with Bugg. Appalling hit and will be dealt with harshly, as it should be. Starting point 6 weeks as that is what Bugg got and Mills played the following week. Bugg wasn't looking at Mills when he lashed out whereas Gaff was looking straight at him. nonetheless I don't believe either was intentional and both players have never been suspended before (despite some nuff nuffs here saying Bugg was a "serial offender".) But people make mistakes and that is what this is. A very bad one. He should do the time and that is it. No need to destroy his character. The fallout on bugg in my view was disgraceful largely because he was viewed as a pest and our club abandoned him. Gaff is a golden haired boy so will be interesting to see the comparison from media and club. Posters trying to turn this in to 'he should be charged by the police' , 'society needs to set an example' blah blah and those saying 'he should never come to Melbourne' are making stupid comments. We play a physical sport and players tread a fine line with agression every time they run out onto the track. This incident (as well as Buggs) step well and truly over that line and need to be dealt with harshly, but in the context of a physical contact sport. Finally those saying 'Gaff will need to reconcile with Angus if he comes to melbourne' really need to think before posting. Gaff already plays with Angus' brother Hamish. On the field stuff happens. It doesn't mean its right but get some reality. There are two young men here that will be suffering over this. Clearly most of the sympathy is with a young first year player who has suffered hugely. But lets have some perspective and not forget that Gaff will be remorseful and will suffer long term consequences as well.

Pretty hard to be red carded when the umps didn't see it.
  20. At 3:20pm on a Sunday in winter...
  21. We played very ordinary football in the second. And the umpiring in the last was terrible.

What a troll. Go and 'support' someone else.
  23. Absolute disgrace if the GC Suns player does not get cited for that. And landed with all his body weight on him.
