  1. And like the Adelaide camp that has festered for 3 years, the fact that our players went around their leadership and coaching staff to complain to the Players association about a camp says everything about this group. even goodwin was shocked and offered to resign. Yet he learned nothing. Imagine for a second if a player had gone around jonathan Brown to the PA because they didn't want to do a camp? Well thats what we had. Brown would have figuritively smashed them. Its not only a disgrace but emblematic of the poor and divided leadership we have at the club. And when the whips are cracking thats when you need leadership. Where is ours??
  2. I think the time has come to move Oliver out of the middle. We can't afford to have Viney and Oliver in the middle together. Its not working We need more composure. And Viney can't play anywhere else. Oliver is ineffective and turns the ball over with his happy hot potato handballs. He can play forward and that 's where he should go for now. Viney has no other position and often gets in the way of Oliver. We are better off with Salem in the middle to replace Oliver. Salem is not launching defensive attacks or providing run out of defence with his dinky 10m kicks sideways but he is composed and quite tough. He would be better in the middle where his decision making and skills would be better used. We can't do any worse. Goodwin has to do something different.
  3. We have enough talent. We don't have a decent coach. He should have resigned in shame after the Geelong game Goodwin: 'We couldn't get the ball off them' and "we'll be better prepared next time". Seriously a full time coach saying that. Disgusting.
  4. This. And it is blindingly obvious to everyone except our brainless coaching staff. I think this is why we need to get Salem into the midfield. He is no use to us off half back.He doesn't run and carry and deliver to a forward. He constantly dinks the ball 10m (which he does quite well but provides no real value). He is quite a smart decision maker so could well be a revelation in the guts Oliver is now next to useless in the middle. Turns it over too much, puts team mates under pressure and his happy handballing provides no impetus. Viney we can afford to have in the middle but he isn't creative nor can he burst away to deliver to a forward. My thinking is we cant play oliver and Viney in the middle together. Or maybe brayshaw goes in there as it is his natural position and can't seem to play anywhere else.
  5. It's humiliating enough to be a Melbourne supporter and deal with the garbage this lot give us but for professional players to have this happen on the field is a total embarrassment and shows what the competition really thinks of Melbourne. What a basket case and a joke are we. It is outright shameful and to me demonstrates a complete breakdown in team ethos. Whether they are peeved at the coach or there are different factions amongst the playing group as rumoured for several years now it is beyond the point where it can be fixed by the current administration and coaching staff. Why does it take the blowtorch of the AFL community for the team to come out in a half decent effort (Hawthorn game) then fall back again the next week against Brisbane for 3 poor qtrs. And now this disgusting 4 quarter capitulation against Port. Something yet again is terribly wrong at Demon-land. Maybe someone is missing their puppy?
  6. Thats the difference between a team playing on instinct and a team playing with confused instructions in their head. And players worried about their own opponent - like kick chasers they want to look at the stats sheet and say 'I beat my man tonight' or 'I got 23 touches'. Goodwin can't coach. PLayers don't know what to do. Thye aren't playing for each other. They aren't running their guts out. There is no leadership. They are headless chooks with a coach that has no idea about how to fix the problem. Why does it take the string blowtorch for the AFL community before these hacks put effort in? Why does Melbourne always have these absolute blow out games where they get smashed? Coaching and leadership
  7. I am still haunted by losing to Sydney at the MCG after Sydney had lost 26 games in a row.
  8. Its the game plan stupid.
  9. Demons great Garry Lyon lashed out at a misfiring Melbourne, labelling them “pathetic”, “embarrassing” and “shambolic” after a woeful first half that resulted in only one goal as well as a striking report to midfielder Clayton Oliver. Well done MFC, my third child has now walked out on the Dees. And I don't blame them. Utter crap football club. When this club folds it will fall at the feet of Simon Goodwin and this pathetic Administration that have let a generation of kids switch clubs from the Dees. There will be no future supporters. Hopeless, spineless embarrassing, insipid, putrid and gutless.
  10. I have seen a lot of spineless performances by Melbourne over the years but make no mistake this game is up there with the best of them. Peahearted tackles, no running, zero football IQ, crowding around the ball, 4 flying for a mark. Goodwin, just pack your and bags and go. And as for the umpires you can all [censored] off. I'd go as far to say that they're cheating.
  11. [censored] excuse We've got Burgess remember
  12. Ha ha this is like our best side! Same [censored]. Running under the ball. Missed short handballs poor turnovers lazy mids no system 4 around the ball Crap umpiring Pack your bags Goodwin [censored] hopeless
  13. What's the bet our useless coach doesn't even review this tripe Great goal Oscar
  14. Witches hats Well done coach
  15. Umpiring is worse than last week Honestly should be an investigation
  16. I thought it was motor-boating....
  17. The probably just cut and paste the Demonland threads on Watts
  18. I think if we are ahead at the final siren we should win Unless Gray kicks a goal after the siren again.....
  19. I agree it is..... But..... they have agreed to go into the Hub and abide by the rules. If they didn't want to hey could have stayed at home.
  20. I reckon he has only had one really good game. The first 4 or 5 he was doing his dinky chips only putting teammates into trouble.. No penetration and his aggression and endeavour was missing
  21. I woudn't rule out Jetta being slightly concussed given his earlier knee to the head..he looks pretty slow and dazed most of the night.. Nonetheless its very rough blaming Jetta who was going directly for the ball. If it was Selwood they would all be lauding his bravery. (cue spew)
  22. Yes but the umpires communicate with each other as to whether it was a skill error or deliberate. This was clearly skill error
  23. Needs to stop leading into the pockets Should be put in his contract: "lead into the pockets and you don't get paid"
  24. 100% that Nev was trying to kick the ball sideways to Langdon. There is no other possible explanation. The maggots cost us a goal.
  25. And serial offender Burgoyne gets off after sling tackling Rowbotham form the Swans One rule for them..
