  1. Yes I was 'Jesting' Old Dee. Or should I say Medieval Dee?
  2. Kicked out of Crown Casino this morning. TROUBLED FORMER AFL STAR BRENDAN FEVOLA TOLD TO LEAVE CROWN CASINO
  3. The concern is that Fevola will be able to access it!
  4. 1. Collingwood 2. St.Kilda 3. Geelong 4. Sydney 5. Hawthorn 6. Essendon 7. Carlton 8. Melbourne (hopeful) 9. North Melbourne 10. Adelaide 11. Western Bulldogs 12. Fremantle 13. West Coast 14. Port Adelaide 15. Brisbane 16. Richmond 17. Gold Coast (1 win)
  5. Michael Evans has certainly stood out for mine. If there's a LTI at some stage Campbell is the go
  6. About 5 of Martin's 9 possessions were hacks off the group, attempting to kick miraculous goals. Possessions aren't everything, either. Also, where did you get this information?
  7. Surely not! Yeah, Watts was horrible against Essendon, last week however V Brisbane I thought he worked really hard around the ground. Watts would be in the first 10 players id pick to play each week. He is at that stage now (his third season) where he has the chance to blossom, especially after playing some great games last year and keeping him out of our side well do absolutely nothing to help us. Watts is a player who doesn't need a lot of the footy to have an impact, and when he does get a lot of it he usually uses it well. It's just his decision making he needs to improve.
  8. I think It's a stupid decision, Casey can recruit who they want and it shouldn't affect our relationship with them. If it's because the Melbouren FC now feel pressured to recruit Fevola for 2012, we don't have to. No point paying the 250k or whatever to set up our own independent club in the VFL, if every team is gonna start this then there may as well be the "reserves" again and the VFL will be destroyed.
  9. I'm incredibly happy about this! Great to see we gave him the lifeline! Can't wait to see him playing and kicking some goals! Welcome Fev, now is a new beginning for you, I hope you succeed and for God's sake keep your pants on!
  10. I think our forward line is ok (apart from the fact that it didn't exist for the most part on Saturday), but our defence is our main concern. Not good decision making in the backline, but I don't think it will be a deal at all when Frawley gets back.
  11. I think even if you were deaf and blind you'd feel the warmth of Jim
  12. Glad someone else noticed this! I SAW ONE TODAY TOO in the Caulfield/St.Kilda area. I almost [censored] when I saw it!
  13. I was really disappointed with Rivers today. WEll beaten by Mitch Clark and made a couple of terrible turnovers in defence. Don't worry, at our strongest I think we are a top 8 team. Forget our nab challenge game. The amount of experience sitting in the stands around me was great
  14. B Rivers Frawley MacDonald HB Grimes Garland Davey C Scully Trengove Jones HF Petterd Watts Dunn F Green Jurrah Maric Fol- Jamar, Sylvia, Moloney Int- McKenzie, Bennell, Jetta. Sub- Howe I think we'll take our chances with just the one ruckman first off, as Jamar is perfectly dominant like that. Dunn or Watts could do some relief rucking too. I think it's good to have a first year player like Howe as a sub to give us energy on the bench, and i was tight keeping the likes of Bartram, Morton, Warnock, Tapscott and Gysberts out of the teeam. Wonaeamirri is still a little while off, especially with Maric preferred as the crumbing small forward for now. Bate only needed if Dunn drops out of form. If Robbie Campbell comes off rookie list he's in contention, and Max Gawn may be a chance
  15. Good win Casey. Was it the recent flash-flooding that put Casey Fields in bad condition?
  16. I was there today, my observations: Warnock- Played a solid game in defence, picked up much more of the ball than he normally would. Jones- Work rate was good but his disposal made it a game he'd rather forget. Bartram- sat in the stands next to me, seemed to be talking to Trengove a lot. Good team bonding. Watts- Was FAR better than last week, didn't get much of the ball but kicked a couple of goals including a fantastic set shot from outside 50. Gysberts- found a bit of the ball but didn't stand out all too much Bate- took a few marks around the ground, kicked a goal that luckily bounced through but he was never really a threat up forward. Bennell- Quite good, showed a lot of run through the middle Frawley- In the crowd near Bartram. He was smiling alright! Trengove- Wore the MFC jacket and sat in the crowd with awesome sunglasses on. He looked like a rockstar. Morton- Sat over with Green and Davey away from the other players who werent playing in the crowd. Note- he was behind Green and Davey, not in the same row as them. Could that mean something? Sylvia- He was just your regular Sylvia McKenzie- I think he was in the crowd too. Dunn- Pretty good. Petterd- A lot to be excited about for the season ahead. Grimes- Just another spectator, albeit one who i had my eyes glued on Green- See Morton Maric- 3 goals! I loved the one where he just zoomed into an open goal. What a freak! Most improved player for 2011, smokey for B&F and will definitely play a key role Garland- In the crowd Cook- Came on after wearing the vest for the first half (i think). Didn't make any impact, just saw him do a kick (awkward kicking style) Moloney- Just typical Moloney stuff Jurrah- Didn't play for some reason! Why not! I didn't even see him in the crowd. I reckon he slept in. Or he probably had a girl in his bed next to him when he woke up and though "ohh stuff it, its only a practice match". He then turned to demonland for updates on the game, and threw a glass of scotch as his computer screen when he saw the final score. Cheney, Oh wait, he left. Campbell- In the stands, looked like he was teaching the youngsters about how to talk. Rivers- carved up by Mitch Clark, looked frustrated, made bad errors but he'll float back into the realms of recognition soon MacDonald- decent game in defence. Newton- Didn't see him anywhere McNamara- Sat in the crowd, blah blah blah. Scully- Proudly cheered every time he got the ball. Oh how i love him. I didn't like it how he gave away that 50 though, but that was just due to the %490378509436784308657 UMPIRE! Bruc- (oops) Wonaeamirri- Probably with Jurrah in his sex cave Martin- PICK IT UP AND THEN KICK IT AT GOAL Tapscott- Great to see him out there. HOW MUSCULAR IS HE! Davey- In the corner with Green and Morton. At one point I thought i saw Davey trying and push green off the stand for the captaincy. Gawn- Didn't see him. And it's hard to miss him!!!! Howe- Explosive leap in the last term that was almost mark of the year Jetta- One of our best. Looked very comfortable around the ground Jamar- Didn't see much time in the 2nd half when Spencer came in, kicked a goal off the ground early and god i love him. Davis- I think he was in the crowd too Spencer- Took a couple of nice marks but gave away a fair few frees. He's a funny player to watch though, he's on the improve. McDonald- Surprising good and quick running out of defence. Watch this space. Bail- His day was summed up by his miss on goal. Fairly quiet Lawrence- Absent Blease- Absent Strauss- Didn't do all too much. Fitzpatrick- in the crowd. Wore a watch on his left hand, wore a ring on his right index finger. Nicholson- Made a few errors, a costly one in defence included but found a bit of the ball. Evans- Not as good as he has been previously this preseason but was useful in the middle Johnston- Nowhere to be seen.
  17. Can't wait to see Tapscott! And I really hope Scully has a massive game
  18. Wait till Frawley's 33 or 34 and then he can have some forward thrusts like SOS did.
  19. I'm also leaning towards there just being a few weeks of practice matches at Casey fields, Visy park etc and giving Etihad and the other main grounds a rest. I'm probably looking forward to Saturday more than last Thursday as well.
  20. I thought I'd start a thread on the decreasing importance of the nab cup. Looking ahead to the two weekend's games, Essendon V St.Kilda is being telecast on Friday night at 8:30, an hour delayed, which is what you'd expect from channel 7 usually but since they showed Geelong V St.Kilda live it doesn't make sense. Now to Saturday night on channel 7, West Coast V Collingwood is being shown at 10:00! Scandalous! that's an hour and a half delayed, and its in perth! Why even show these games on tv if they are gonna have their pants pulled down? I enjoy watching the nab cup but it seems that the TV stations and the general public doesn't want me to. I was very surprised at the attendances of last weekend's game, on thursday night when i saw the crowd of 13,000 odd i thought "ohh this is just because its thursday". But this was only followed by two dismal attendances in the following nights of games that should've probably taken better public interest. Are we seeing the death of the NAB cup?
  21. It's a dream that we should at least try and turn into reality. There's a difference between us and the Lions though: we have Jim Stynes. Jim already showed his appreciation for Fev on his twitter page so I think he would be a great friend to Fev and would chat to him on a regular basis and provide great advice to help him be a good club man. I also think a lot of Fevola's angst in the off-season was just the frustration of being injured and the season at the Lions hadn't gone as planned (however, I know that's no excuse for his behaviour).
  22. I'm quite pleased to see Frawley is only 4 away. That'd mean a Round 2 return? Sad about Campbell, however
  23. What do you mean by 'not regarding tom'. Who is it regarding then, Alastair Nicholson?
  24. When I'm older and wiser Fev won't be around, and please don't judge me on my age. Well, I don't see how kicking goals and winning games wouldn't benefit our team. That's what footy's all about. Especially if he brings us into the finals. He'd bring more supporters to the ground, give the Demons more publicity, boost our membership sales and imagine this: Jurrah weaving through a pack, handballing to Fev in the goal square and snapping through a game winner to the punt road end of the MCG. Imagine Fev, Jurrah, Petterd and Watts embracing each other after goals are kicked and teaming together to create a championship forward line.
  25. It's an interesting suggestion, I think I'm still confident in Bailey though but, on the condition that we slump to the bottom again this season then I think he should definitely consider the man who wears his moustache proudly to come skipping through the gates of the Demonic realm.
