Lol. it wasnt tanking. Miller was dropped because he played so damn poorly the week before and he simply had to be dropped. Watts was included as a crowd puller and Lockyer is heaps more dangerous than Brad Dick. When Brad Dick kicks 5 you know you've had a dirty day. enough said

yeh he sprays some..but he kicks goals that no1 else can..so it levels it out

im not praising his kicking. but itsj ust heaps better than jurrah's. he kicked 113 goals last year, with many of those well outside 50m..including some on the boundary. Sure he kicks heaps of behinds but thats just coz he peppers the goals like no tomorrow. He is still one of the best kicks for goal from long range and off one step in the comp in my opinion. Jurrah kicking is not great. He can barely kick 50metres..and buddy can do it off one step.

And dappa dan regarding jamar, he is a ruckman, and will never have to kick all that often, hence his kicking style doesnt bother to much, im just happy he gets his fair share of hitouts now. I agree with alot of ur points too. And whilst I do like Dunn, I am disappointed that he is still being played out of position instead of being played as a third tall where he showed that he could kick goals consistently. And Strauss's form has been good but he has only played 2 games for casey seniors where he didnt get all that much of the ball. He has been playing mostly casey reserves due to his injuries

Lets look on the bright side of things: players that have improved or shown something that makes you smile here is my list Moloney- has improved significantly this year: averaging 24.8 touches a game. Finally getting on the park is a big positive. Sylvia- averaging 21touches, 6 marks and has kicked 14 goals for the year. His last month has been awesome. Jamar - In his 2 games has averaged 30 hitouts. This is good as it looks like he can be our number 1 ruckmen for a few years Frawley- Really taken his game to the next level. Cant wait til he bulks up even more. Fast, aggressive and breaks the lines. Its been his breakout season Morton- His ball finding ability (moreso than his quality of disposal) has been fantastic. Averaging 25 touches a game and 7 marks Bennell- looks a classy player and a real find with pick 35. Stole one from West Coast here who openly stated they wanted him with pick 36. Good foot skills. Can't wait til he bulks up and gets another pre-season. Davey- Finally stupid comparisons between Alwyn and Aaron have seized after Aaron has found plenty of the ball and consistency. Averaging 23.6 touches per game. Negatives Wonaeamirri- damn injury Blease- this cut deep. Really would have been good to see him play. even if it was just for casey Newton - not getting a game. Deserves it and I believe would kick 3+ goals per game if given the chance. I'd feel sick in the stomach with Watts debuting when he deserved to play before him Bate: His form has been a worry. People on this site think kicking actions can be fixed. No they cant. Bate is a prime example and his kicking has been ordinary at best. He is shocking below the knees and I think this season hasnt been a good one for big red. Maric: i had him, along with petterd, as some of our best youngsters. A skilful player with good footskills is what we need but he hasnt been getting enough of the ball and has sprayed some shots on goal. I expected more. I would play him in the backline to get his hands on the leather more and it would be good to have some decent kicks coming out of defence for once Morton- both a positive and a negative. His disposals havent improved Garland- injury. total let down. I enjoy watching him play. I was also disappointed that he hadnt put on any kilograms over the pre-season. If anything he looked smaller. Hopefully he isnt slacking off in the weights room. Bruce- still getting games is quite frustrating. No matter what he did against the pies he stuffed it up. Whether it was kicking into the man on the mark, fumbling, dropping marks, handballing to players in trouble or kicking helicopter kick..he did the lot! Even when he marked the ball, he'd play on and get chased down. I've made up my mind on Bruce. Anyway- id be interested to hear ur opinions on ur own +'s and - 's

lol. he has a wrong opinion. the draft has proven year in year out that the better players tend to come from the early picks.

steady on. using franklin in the same sentence to jurrah is silly. Franklin kicked 75 goals in the afl when he was jurrahs age. Franklin is quicker, stronger, and a better kick than jurrah. franklin has him in every single category other than maybe jumping. thats it.

flawed logic. According to your logic if you are a genuinly good tall forward of course you are going to dominate at under18 level. because you are good AND big!...Jonathan Brown would have dominated under 18 level too but you would have said no to him because he only dominated because he is big? Why would we get scully anyway? we;ll beat richmond again when we play them for the 2nd time and that would take us to equal points as them meaning its basically 50/50

limitation above the shoulders? are u referring to his overhead marking? if so, thats the last thing you should be bringing up when referring to Newton. He is a great overhead mark. If Watts can get a game after 22 soft touches in the vfl then newton should get promoted after taking 5 contested marks a week, 18 or so touches and several goals a week. Not to mention his chasing and tackling. I still maintain he is a 50+ goal a year forward. Has no flaws. His kicking isnt even a flaw..its a great asset of his that simply is a bit out of form.

Pendlebury wasn't their best. All of his stats were cheap. And all of his goals were handed to him on a platter. Brad Dick was their best in my opinion

Gone: Bell, Wheately, Whelan, Mcdonald, Robertson Sylvia, Moloney and Mclean are 3 of our top 4 players. Green and Bruce will stay. Newton won't be delisted. Either will Dunn. I still don't know why Newton isn't playing in our team. He is just one of those players that I rate that no-else does. Like I rate Wheately and rated Ward in his day because he ran the lines and had a nice long accurate kicks. Oh well, stick with Brad Miller and see how far you get. We currently have a first rate Key forward on our list and we aren't even playing him. wtf! I just dont get it. anyway, end of rant

screw that. i want someone that is hard at the player. whelan is the only player we have that you know is going to hurt the opposition when they have the chance. We need 3 or 4 of these players. With people like byron pickett it does make it really good to watch too

trading stef martin? now i've heard it all. Thats actually a good idea. Todays key position players are getting taller, e.g. Franklin 196cm, Watts 196cm, Butcher 197cm etc so I think it would be a great idea to trade our biggest and tallest 200cm key position back that has plenty of upside.

has shown great decision making skills 'above the neck' at vfl level. why do people expect newton to play well when he isnt given a chance...has he ever played 10 games in a row at afl level? No. stupid development team at our club is a joke. Newton should have kicked over 30 goals this year so far

lol. below vfl standard? haha, nice one. he has been our best forward every game he has played. booting bags of 4 and 5. The thing is Rioli wouldnt be at hawthorn if i was in charge. I would have picked up Rioli before morton. People under-rate the value of footskills and its the main reason why Bate, Miller etc tend to pi!ss people off. At the end of the day, MIller has shown LESS than newton at afl standard so why does he get more chances? If someone can give me a logical reason as to why Newton woulndt be a gun at afl level than please tell me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He is a great mark, good kick usually, and his best feature is his work ethic (people that actually watch his games will attest to this).
