thanks cards. its only rhino. having a bad opinion is better than having no opinion at all. rhino-richards is the biggest fence sitter

lol fair call

butcher isnt versatile. but u dont need to be. versatility is over-rated. A player can only play one position at one time so you might as well be a master at 1 position. Butcher has mastered the full forward position..he's just in bad form thats all
-
pick 1 and 3..not pick 1 and 2. west coast will get the priority too
-
i think we will get pick 1 and 3. And i honestly think West coast will take butcher at 2...regardless of his current form and the fact he is a victorian. which mean our 3rd pick could be anyone.
-
if you only counted his games played up forward he would be averaging close to 2 goals a game
-
there is no way we will end up with pick 1 and 2 now. as west coast wont win 1 more game, let alone 2. but if by some miracle that happens, i dont think garland is a good idea. i dont think ive seen him take many contested marks and he hasnt put on any muscle since drafted. I think i'd prefer to leave our best defenders just there and play with Watts, jurrah, miller, etc
-
17% who really cares though. I can guarantee you that we wont pick up morabito. A western australian that cant kick is the same reason we didnt pick up naitanui
-
geez, get this thru ur thick skull .ITS NOT ABOUT WHO IS IN THE AFL THAT IS 192CM...ITS ABOUT WHO IS NOT. I REPEAT IS NOT IN THE AFL. There are so many 191cm-192cm players that are overlooked come draft day or majorly slide. And whoever mentioned Dunn is silly. He is already good. He is just being played out of position. He is a natural 3rd tall that has PROVEN to kick goals at afl level. But if he was 195-196cm..then he would have been drafted top 5 in his draft no doubt
-
I'd almost prefer to have pick 1 then to have picks 2 AND 3 such is Scullys brilliance. Best handball i've seen since simon black

Once again incorrect. 'disposals' as the more general term for both kicks and handballs is appropriate as ineffective disposals and effective disposals all comes under the one heading of 'disposals'. so that is that out of the way. At the end of the day, you wouldn't know of all the players playing at local level that were close to being drafted but do to their height being a query didn't get picked up. Just look at Brad Kelleher, TAC cup team of the year. 42 goals for the season. didn't get picked up. Simply because he was under-sozed for a key position. granted he was 189cm..but you get my drift.
-
meh ur the guys that stick by bate, dunn, bell, morton and miller. u have a knack for spotting mediocrity. Disposals is THE MOST important aspect of todays game. Morabito- no thanks
-
i would only take riewoldt, pavlich, scarlett and chad cornes with a top 2 pick listing players 191/192cm tall just shows ur stupidity. At the end of the day, if ur around that dodgy height, u will either slide down the draft a few spots, a lot of spots or not get picked up at all. 170-179cm is a height that would be potentially on the too small side, 180-189cm is the ideal height for a midefielder and 190cm-192 is in between. 193-196cm is perfect for key position. 197-199 is also dodgy (not quite ruck and usually too slow for key position, ala kepler bradley) and 200+ is great for ruckmen. Bate and Dunn is the exact reason u dont pick up players of that height. Half of the players you listed wont make it either so thanks for listing them for me.
-
Need I repeat "my point isnt really 'name all the players that are 192cm in the afl'..its the name all the 192cm that just missed out on being drafted. the list goes on forever".
-
my point isnt really 'name all the players that are 192cm in the afl'..its the name all the 192cm that just missed out on being drafted. the list goes on forever. ANyway here is a video of morabito at last years champs: And a video of luke tapscott, who i rate.
-
are u an idiot or are u an idiot. its coz most of them are playing local footy because they didnt get drafted u [censored].
-
we dont need him. he is a crap height at 192cm and we have enuf lanky defenders. Garland, Rivers, Warnock and Frawley are all around 192cm. We dont need Grimes
-
im sorry but 192cm is the worst height. its almost undraftable. Sure there are some great players that are around 192cm..but alot of the time they are simply caught out for being too small for a key position and too crap for a midfielder. just look at bate and dunn.
-
hell no. i would have picked up cotchin or rioli. most ruckman dont provide anything other than hitouts to a neutral position.
-
i'd be [censored] if we wasted a top pick on a pinch-hitting ruckman. Hawks won the flag last year without a decent ruckman. you don't need a good one.
-
i'd rather a master of one trade (i.e butcher) than a master of none. thats all
-
why is everyone so shocked? its a good plan by the eagles and they have done well. I think they could even steal pick 1 off us if we're not careful. we should be tanking too. round 14 against the eagles is a massive game. i'm calling it the scully cup now.
-
I agree on a lot of those points but all said and done he got about 7 touches for casey yesterday and that doesnt deserve a call-up.
-
thats silly rpfc. james mcdonald isnt ripped or anything either yet no1 questions his commitment. And Newton has been the best melbourne listed player at casey over the whole season., bar nobody. Ive been to every game so have more idea than people who suggest that any other player has been better. Of course he deserves a chance. He has shown that he can play better at afl level than miller can.
