  1. I'd have him ahead of Jones too, JKH when in form he is not ahead of, and no way is he ahead of Kent when injury-free. I see him as a serviceable contributor, but in a couple of years we will be calling for him to be cut. Similar to the likes of Jones, Terlich, etc etc
  2. Agree. He is a better grab than Dawes, maybe not as prolific a goal-scorer, but Dawes has been very poor in that regard this year. What's more, Pedersen not only uses his body well in contests, but if he doesn't mark it he at least brings the ball to ground. On top of that, he can pinch hit in the ruck and is a better swing-man than Dawes could ever be. I know who i'd be selecting first to line-up next to Hogan, when both are fit.
  3. Long way to go for a drink, given your name WA Demon!
  4. If Selwood leaves for Geelong, i reckon Redden would be a good like-for like swap for them.
  5. really liked it up until i read Gawn to Sydney. Wait.........that was the first thing written.
  6. Yeah, if you're interested in riddles that will never come to fruition
  7. It's implied IT. As for Harmes, i'd keep him on the RL, hasn't done anything much to suggest that he will add something decent to starting 21 (22 from next year, yay)
  8. Given that we just announced 4 new signings, i doubt many of the still OOC players will be around come next year.
  9. What also mustn't be forgotten is that the whole WADA situation could still rule him out for 2 years. We should tell the druggies to stick their 'adequate compensation' where the sun don't shine. Our 3rd rounder and nothing more.
  10. Given that the Scum were after our pick 2 for Myers i doubt what they deem as 'reasonable' will be anywhere close to being sane. Would reluctantly part with our 2nd rounder, but only would do so given that the draft is nowhere near as good as previous years. p.s. just remembered that he is part of the drug squad, so i retract my 2nd round pick. 3rd rounder at most.
  11. I wouldn't mind bringing in both Bennell and Redden. Bennell, whilst being a naughty boy, has skill and pace to burn. Redden reminds me a lot of Daniel Cross, handy given that Crossy was made to retire this year (wouldn't of minded if he went around for another). But all will pale in comparison compared to Petracca. A midfield of Jones, Vince, Viney, Brayshaw, Petracca, Redden & Bennell, with supporting players such as Kent, ANB, VDB and the unknown of Trengove, our midfield might start to become a strength of ours.
  12. Because whilst it's open, there's probably still a little bit of hope, lol!
  13. If he were to stay at Melbourne, given that no other club has shown interest at his asking price, i would be significantly reducing his contract $. The past year has been appalling, he wants more money? Why don't you earn it Jeremy? Could say that to approximately >50% of the list though
  14. Nope, that's too obvious for us here on DL. We need something way more in the shadows than that, how else could we keep up MFCSS and the like?
  15. Agree, he'd be a better chance of making it than some random pick#88 in the rookie draft, he has at least had us following him and no doubt be put on some type of plan to develop him at an earlier age similar to Viney and Stretch (maybe not as talented......yet). But his 2014 season showed that he had promise.
  16. Surely that will force Wines out with their supposed salary cap problems!
  17. If that's the case, the MFC should tell him he's not welcome at the club anymore.Sounds like he's (or his manager) burned too many bridges, and should pay the consequences of such arrogance.
  18. A distant relative according to sanfl.com.au http://www.sanfl.com.au/maccas_cup/draft_hub/wayne_milera/
  19. Well if Danger leaves for the Cats, the Crows will have ample space in the cap (like us), but will only be a short trip down the road (unlike us).
  20. Matt Crouch? If it was his older brother then i'd be a bit more excited, as even a half broken-down Brad Crouch has more flair than Matt.
  21. I'd define tanking as deliberately not trying your utmost to win a match. Dictionary.com defines tanking as: To go through the motions of a match but deliberately lose because of an illicit prearrangement or fix; throw a fight. So the AFL will hide behind such a definition and say that given it has received the tick of approval, it isn't tanking. But it's all complete BS. Deliberately not playing your best, or not putting your best on the field when you can, is tanking afaic.
  22. Given his problems with his feet, and our track record with foot injuries, it would be best if we steered clear.
  23. He hasn't done much to excite me since being picked up by Brisbane in the draft. He just doesn't get enough of it.
