Probably because we have several inside midfielders on our list. If he has come back to full fitness, i wouldn't hesitate to draft him. After all, we did lose Tyson and Jones is getting long in the tooth and you can never have too much quality. Need to keep the midfield age profile well spread too.

If we were able to also draft a fully fit Bytel as well, that would definitely help our midfield, would be happy with Bailey Williams with our second pick as well.

Does anyone think we might package up picks 23 & 28 for an early-mid teens pick during tomorrow nights draft?

This is what i don't get with these NIMBY's. They hide behind their mantra of protecting the local parkland, yet low and behold, there is this massive structure (MCG) smack bang in the middle of it. How space for another open oval would detract from Yarra Park is completely beyond me. If anything, it would smarten the place up, providing an accessible oval for local residents to use outside of training times. I guess our fall back position could be just training on the G ?

I rate Corey a fair bit higher than Josh.

Nope, nope, nope. Teams when entering the league knew full well that AFL Grand Finals are played at the MCG, shouldn't have entered if they don't like it. Beside it's a bloody Grand Final. No matter where or when, teams should be ready to play, it is for the ultimate prize, so there needs no extra motivation to play. Should interstate stadiums get to 100,000+ capacity, and the highest team qualified for the GF is from said state, then so be it, but until then, the biggest game needs to be played in the biggest stadium.

I'm starting to really warm to the idea of drafting Bailey Williams with one of our first picks. With his athleticism and mobility, he could play as a tall forward who can more than adequately relief ruck and wouldn't be a liability when the ball hits the deck.

A bit hard for him to come back early considering he won’t be back until the new year given his post-season clean up surgery.
