Totally agree Fork. Lyon is a list destroyer. He gets the most out of what's there, but doesn't have a clue how to develop talent. He constantly plays his favourites, which only widens the depth gap on a list until all the decent players' are too old or injured, then jumps ship. He's the anti-Clarkson.

If they're as tight a group as we hope and think they are, they'll come out and play for Gawny's 100th followed by Jack's 100th in rounds 1 & 2..................and play for Goody in every game he is coach.

It might take him some time to get there, but once he returns to having somewhat of a 'normal' life (coming to terms with his father's passing, cancer battle, etc.) he will dominate. Perth is where he needs to be to get the best out of himself. When it clicks for him (and it eventually will), he'll explode.

Should we win a flag anytime soon, i'd expect our membership to significantly drop the following year. What % of the membership are 50+ years old? Most will suffer massive heart attacks after the siren. The rest of us will either drink ourselves to death or die from lack of sleep as a result of wayyyyy too much adrenaline.

Jones is a 3x b&f and the current stalwart of the club, they will make sure he retires a one club player.

I have it on good authority, that should we be this year's premiers, they will change their name to FLAGUAR until the end of 2019!

That makes 2 sponsorships out from 2018 and 1 in for 2019. We still seem to have a revolving door when it comes to sponsors. It would be nice to not have to worry about signing sponsors at the culmination of every year. As for the $1m+ sponsorship, would that not mean that we lost $1m+ due to infiniti no longer sponsoring us?

maybe they should just gives us $1b pounds upfront and just add it to their quarterly bottom line!

Agree SWYL. Goody's no Neeld, but let's not beat around the bush. With a team like ours at his disposal, we simply must be making finals every year, and more often than not going deep (hopefully as deep as you can go). If Goody is what most of us hope he is, he'll not only see making September as a non-negotiable, but challenging for the flag. Look at what Clarkson did with the Dorks this year (admittedly they went out in straight sets), but he got a team into the top 4 who, imo, aren't a top 4 team. Chris Scott on the other hand was gifted a premiership with the team he inherited yet look how they are traveling now. I'm not saying Goodwin is as good as Clarkson, but i hope he is way more Clarkson than he is Scott.

I say we ask our better to do members to cough up the money. Last i checked, Eddie McGuire is a member of the MFC (as he is with all Victorian clubs). I say we ask him to foot the bill!

After being on the wait list for approx 13 years, it only took 2 attendances in the MCC to realise that it was too upper class for my liking. I much prefer slumming it with the rest of my riff-raff brethren in the southern stand.

Going by the photo, he's only kissing with a closed mouth and isn't dedicated enough. Not 100% committed..................................He's gone.

I really can't see what the big problem is with these NIMBYS, etc, being against such a development. The building would be over the rail line (virtually empty/useless space). Will it rob them of their precious views of trains going by? Secondly, the oval. It would provide a flat bit of land making the area even more accessible and community friendly. It all sounds like people who want to have the best, but not let others have it. The age of self-entitlement really has known no greater time.

I have never seen someone develop their game so quickly in-season. His rapid rise in the back end of the year was phenomenal, to the extent that it still beggars belief.
