  1. depends on if he is de-listed /retires by the time the final list lodgement comes by
  2. i consider them an interbred club
  3. Yeah i know, he should have a chat to Wines and try and bring him over as well.
  4. With that kind of surname, how could anyone go past Fritsch?
  5. Clarrie should have a chat to try and bring him over too!
  6. The question is, do we go after Gaff next year via FA, or save all our pennies for 2 years, clear as much cap space as we can, and go after Kelly in 2 years time?
  7. If it was for a pick in the late 20's, i'd do the trade. You're probably not going to find a better prospect at whatever that pick may be in the draft, so why not. He clearly has talent, all be it he's a little fragile (and would still need a few years to develop, ala Weideman). If we bring him in, we have 2 potentials to partner up with Hogan long-term, if both turn out to be good then we can always trade one out. Balic is in a very similar situation, so for the price both of them will cost (not much), the potential payout is large.
  8. True, but the Cats under these rules are required to have at least one 1st round pick this year, to which they don't have one at the moment. The drafting rules brought in a few years ago will not be enforced for a few years yet methinks.
  9. You need to play 8 years at a club before you qualify for FA status. By signing with us, Lever's FA status has gone back to year 0.
  10. It took TMAC a good 3-4 years to become the player he is (even with his questionable disposal). OMAC will probably take a similar amount of time, so he should start to hit his straps in the next couple of years. He showing similar if not better development than his brother at the same stage. Looking at the likes of Rance and McGovern, they try and play the intercept role as much as they can, leaving the main shut down KPD's to teammates who aren't as good, but are capable of playing the lockdown role. The likes of Frost and OMAC (even TMAC at times) should be able to do a similar role, allowing Lever to use his intercept skills and reading of the play to maximise effectiveness for our back-line. The surety of Hibberd, Jetta and Lewis will aid in forming an effective defensive unit. Throw in the possibility of Gaff next year with his coverage and footskills, and the development of Weids and Hoges having a hopefully injury and problem free year, and our list is setting up nicely.
  11. Says me. They are clearly the 2 best talents in this years draft, and aside from the King twins and Rankine from SA, i'd consider Rayner and Davies-Uniacke comparable with the others being bandied about as other potential top 5/10 picks for next year. But as is well known, the draft is a lottery, the chance of the #1 pick in this years draft or next years draft becoming the best player from their respective drafts is not that great.
  12. Rayner and Davies-Uniacke would both go top 10 next year, possibly top 5.
  13. Give it 12 months and go after Gaff for the outside run.
  14. Unless Crows want to give us their 1st round (pick 16), then they'll need to bring in another pick somehow (possibly Lions pick 18 or 19 for Charlie Cameron)
  15. Well that makes them a team full of pretenders with a premiership
  16. That's generally what happens when someone doesn't play.
  17. Not even 26 yet, so still has quite few years in him. If he is able to get his body right, don't see why he wouldn't be an option.
  18. sanity may rule bobby, but i doubt it is going to prevail.
  19. Not everyone can have the elegance and class that you clearly have daniel
