  1. I'd prefer those warning sign to be going off now prior to the start of the season, as opposed to during it. Hopefully it gives the playing group the kick up the backside that will get them back in to hunger mode. You can't win finals or dare we dream it a GF in the first few months, but you can sure as hell can lose one. Hopefully Goody has got them in the right frame of mind come season proper.
  2. Wrap it in plaster and use it as a weapon!
  3. Compound fracture (break through skin) to his small finger McQueen.
  4. Liked how we fought back with the injuries and lack of rotations we had. Lions have had an extra month of pre-season under their belt and need to come out firing looking at their draw early on (though we should come out firing anyways). Along with their lack of off-season surgeries their fitness levels as a group should be well up on ours. But excuses aside, we look good when we are switched on, though we still have significant periods where we switch off. Our defensive efforts all over the ground are a huge concern. Coaches need to wake up to that pretty quickly, as we get badly exposed on switch of plays and don't seem to be able to adjust to defending the fat side of the ground that well. Here's hoping the majority of our injuries are only minor and we can field a near full strength side come round 1, as it is quite clear that a lot of our depth is still well short of the quality that we need them to be. Either that or we need to pray for Richmond like luck with injuries this year,
  5. That pass was barely 10 let alone 15, lol. But how about a bit of awareness Max and Christian.
  6. Was that Hore who hit Smith lace out?
  7. Agreed, he'd offer us something we seriously lack in the forward line and that's speed. He' 187cm and got 15 on Spargo, but could he be the quick and agile crumber we are crying out for? Worth a try i'd have thought.
  8. Don't know, but it's nowhere near as bad as seeing Stretch fall over himself in the middle of the ground with no-one within kooee of him
  9. Yep, trying to create excuses for not copping a bake. "Come on coach, i'm sore". Junior high school football stuff, lol.
  10. Biggest concerns of today are our lack of cohesion in the back half (defensive side of our game) and the injuries we have sustained.
  11. I get that he can run, but honestly we have a better version of him in ANB and even he is struggling.
  12. Stretch just fell over himself. He should be nowhere near our best 22 this year
  13. Viney possibly from the 2's Praccy, Fritsch, Harmes, possibly Smith.
  14. Really need Brayshaw to clean up his disposal efficiency. He gets a lot of it, but he needs to be cleaner.
  15. Yep, not seeing much composure with him this game. Maybe he prefers it on the outside, as he seems to panic when there's congestion.
  16. That's what Spargo should be, but he refuses to play that role.
  17. 5 of the last 6 goals. We've stopped again.
  18. Have to agree Wise. If that is indeed our gameplan, then keeping the ball in once it hits the deck has to be our biggest contingency plan should we not mark it.
  19. Fritsch back out running the boundary
  20. That's what happens when you just bomb it in long. A bit more clarity from those delivering the ball would make it easier for our forwards.
  21. Went through like a freight train! As for Smith, got injured through his own stupidity. Decides to play and after marking and have his kick smothered when he should've gone back and given himself more distance over the mark.
  22. The Lion's love appealing for frees don't they.
  23. Stick him on a wing and put Fritsch down there. Easy.
  24. At least he hasn't stuck out for all the wrong reasons. Hello Oscar McDonald.
  25. Means bone is sticking out. He'll be out for a good 6 weeks. Great.
