No one busts a gut on the first day of training. From the sound of it however some did try to impress.

Strangely the body is in good knick apart from a couple of fingers that don't look normal. Frank Hogan from SA and Bill Cody ex St Kilda were two of the coaches that I remember. Keith Warburton the Carlton freak was around too. I remember giving Dickie Clay, the Richmond wing/full back a bath one day. He was only about 17 at the time. Tom Hafey was the Shepparton coach. Good times, good memories.

You did OK. I played about 80 games for Tatura and we got paid two pounds a game. Played for Bruthen then. about 40 games, at ten quid a game. Played in New Guinea for about 4 or 5 years. A couple of games or Thailand in Vietnam, and quite a few games of superules in the NT. I suppose all up I played about 500 games. Plus umpired another 50 or so in the NT.
