  1. That is not a game plan. You have just described a game of footy.
  2. Many people here and in the media talk about game plans. What I would like to know is; what is a game plan. Is it an algorithm or something? What is the MFC game plan. We seem to play on a lot. Is that it?- our game plan? I have been here for yonks see the phrase 'game plan' and gloss on without thinking about it. That stops here. I want to know all about game plans. Can some one actually explain to me what a game plan is and why it is important to have one. PS I played footie for 40 odd years and in that time I never knew I was part of a plan or that one existed.
  3. With the list we have now even Mark Neeld could get us a flag.
  4. https://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/845785 If I read this correctly; if not for Covid and our projected revenue was realised then we would have made a profit of $15 million this year which is a fantastic result and augers well for the future. Well done Perty. I am not an accountant and if wrong someone will point it out, which they should do, but never the less it seems like some good news.
  5. The list management boys are noted for there ability to rise up the pick ladder. They have started on next year already Pick Swap with Hawthorn Melbourne has traded pick No.46 and its 2021 Fourth Round pick to the Hawks for their 2021 Third Round pick.
  6. Where is Choco?
  7. UPDATE In view of yesterdays announcements the minimum pass mark has been raised to a grand final appearance.
  8. Does anyone know if we have nominated a NGA player in this draft?
  9. They have all been trained down.
  10. Just the way he moves.
  11. With the list we have a prelim final appearance would be the minimum pass mark.
  12. "It will, though, implement such measures in the newly formed VFL and East Coast second-tier competition, with a minimum of players from each team to be positioned inside each 50m arc - including one per team in each goalsquare – at all kick-ins and boundary throw-ins." How stupid is this?
  13. If they want to free the game up then; Immediately the player takes a mark he is unable to be touched ie not held not pushed to the ground or in the back no other time wasting actions this is cheating, The player should be allowed to play on unimpeded and if impeded a 50 metre penalty given
  14. Mahoney is a shrewd customer. Wouldn't like to paly chess with him.
  15. There's a fair bit of Clayton about this guy.
  16. Does anyone remember Bryan Kenneally? IMO Luke is Bryan mark 2. Has a similar playing style and played 1st grade in his first year. If I am right we will enjoy his contributions for years to come.
  17. Something Fremantlish about this performance.
  18. I reckon so. To recover in 4 days, not just once but twice or more, is just stretching the mind and the body just too far. And put 2 hours worth of travel on top my mind would go into zombie zone. Give them the benefit of the doubt; they will repay. BTW the Bradbury plan didn't get damaged too much but a win against GWS is very important now.
  19. You are so right. I have probably hit a golf ball 100 000 times and only once did the shot sound like a pro hit; and that shot was a putt.
  20. I bring this up as I did the same when playing. I think that the brain dictates that feeling the ball into the hands, and then grasping is surer and safer than than watching the ball and then grasping. You then don't make a grab at the ball; which is a sure way to fumble. The reason to watch the ball onto the foot is to let the brain make an adjustment to the foot if the balldrop is not straight.
  21. Looking at the photos I have noticed that when marking above the head many players have their eyes closed; and when kicking the ball the eyes are open. Why is this? I have my own theory on this but am wondering what others think.
  22. TBC = no one knows TBA= they know but are not telling
