  1. I imagine today Craig Cameron will be winding things up and having a lunch-time beer. In modern day trading terms we've been very busy, can't see us being part of any further trades. We've got picks 4, 14 and 21 now, a very good result.
  2. Maybe Bailey is also of the belief that CJ is terribly soft.
  3. Hey jiska, There's a whole section on trading and drafting available on the site here: http://demonland.nozzs.org/forum/index.php?showforum=18 There's posts on this over there! Cheers
  4. jiska, you've posted this twice now... I moved your original post (and the two replies in this thread) in to this thread: http://demonland.nozzs.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=8067 Cheers
  5. It's not a good idea to start pissing clubs off, especially over a "could-be" like Meesen. You don't want to burn your bridges in the trade game. We haven't allowed ourselves to get rogered here (Adelaide wanted #21), so overall I'm happy.
  6. I got a bit confused there. I thought you meant Melissa was marrying Scoop Junior's sister, not that she IS Scoop Junior's sister. Anyway. Congratulations to you and your family Redleg.
  7. Wow, I was sure he was going to Richmond Glad this can put an end to the stupid speculation once and for all.
  8. Yes, as an assistant.
  9. I've heard him speak a few times and he is surprisingly articulate. I'd be happy to see him appointed.
  10. I'd be shocked if he only weighed 88kgs. I've seen him in person (he played for Tassie in the VFL) and he is not a small boy. The 103kgs sounds a bit more accurate.
  11. I agree. With or without Shaw I'd do the deal.
  12. So is that a problem with the tactic, or a problem with Melbourne's implementation? See where I'm going?
  13. Why? I hope this isn't true.
  14. I saw its merit at the time and still do. The fact that it was very poorly implemented (and this is the responsibility of both the players and the coach) does not mean it was a bad idea. That said, like Jaded I'd definitely be voting "get the hell over it" if there were such an option.
  15. Richards graz, not Fanning.
  16. He's one of those players that looks like he could have been anything but just hasn't been. If he was 21 I might take him, but I reckon the clock's ticking for him now. Pass.
  17. And what a raging success that turned out to be. There's no such thing as precedent when it comes to trading, clubs get less dumb each year. How many pick #1s have been traded since the Croad disaster?
  18. I reckon 99 footballers out of 100 would move states if it were necessary to further their career though, regardless of what is at stake. He might not think he has much of a choice. It's why you almost never hear of players refusing to be traded, even though they have the option and might not really want to go.
  19. First cab off the rank. Mattner to the Swans. http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/story...5012432,00.html Unbelievable, a trade on the first/second day!?!
  20. Another problem is that residents of Bellerive keep putting up roadblocks when it comes to development of the ground. That's why there's no lights there. I agree though, it's a farce that they're not doing the developments where the actual population is.
  21. BBP, if that happens he'll have one year of brilliance, then get comfy again. It's what supremely talented but unmotivated players do. Anyone remember Adam Heuskes (for his playing skills, not for his cross-dressing)? He did it at three clubs.
  22. I agree. Is it possible to make a soft player less soft? Paul Wheatley had the "soft" tag for a long time too, but it doesn't seem as prominant now.
  23. He should play in the ruck. He is a poor mark and a poor set shot for goal, what use would he be as a forward? He either needs to become an AFL grade ruckman or be delisted. They are the only options he has imo.
  24. I was a little surprised that Max Walker went on the trip! I assume he means Ron.
