Yes but that is based on the assumption that Danger is so desperate to leave the Crows he'll go to any of the Dees/Dogs/Saints. When he can wait it out see what happens at the Crows then walk to any club he wants IT don't make sense THe only other factor is if the Crows want to trade Danger to get max Compo - Can anyone confirm do players have a clause in their contract that they have to agree to a trade So we're really back to Danger saying no I don't want to got to club A B C I'll wait to 2015 and walk to club D I love the idea of Danger at the Dees but surely it's a very long shot
-
Danger to the Dees would be one of the bigges coup's in the AFLs history And for that reason I can't see it happening - Why would Danger (apart from Vince and Goodwin factors whic is something but not as big as a lot make out to be) want to come to this basket case? I know we're better off field then we have been for years but onfield there is still a lot of work to do. If he leaves the Crows - which I am not even sure why he's in a big rush to do so, he can walk next year anyway and go to whatever club he wants..... Why bother with trying to get a trade done....

I like it deeko - 100% legit info or not it's always a good read -
Surely MC can't be considering the Aint's - not a top 8 contender.

HS or someone reported Jarred Lyons wants to be traded.... Surely worth a look? -
I had read Ryder wanted Essendon to get adequate compensation (I might be wrong) But if push comes to shove and the bombers play hardball he may have look at the option of breaking his contract (due to the supplements scandal) and walking........ but there would be more costly legal battles there. So unless The bombers refuse to let Ryder go via trade request then I would expect him to be traded to his destination of choice

Garlett for Blease? -
Sorry yeh should have mentioned if he just walked.... not a FA We might get better consideration if Mitch just walks - but I reckon a swap is most likely now
-
If Mitch ends up wanting to go to the Pies (which seems likely based on the reports to date) then I'd be pretty confident predicting Harry L to the Dees The Pies will have to commit their first pick to that Moore who is a Father Son selection? so it seems like a player swap is the most likely outcome. Or he may go as a FA and we might get a first round compo, which wouldn't be the worst result either Sad times with all this Mitch stuff - I really wanted him to come back to the Dees... Time to move on
-
Sums up my thoughts on this pretty well as well hoopla It sounds legit, but lacks any facts at this stage - it's all speculation. WIll be interesting to see what happens, sadly the most exciting parts of a MFCs supporters life atm (off field movement)
-
What you're saying does make sense and I have no doubt the Dees would be after a gun (like Danger) Option 1 - didn't Toump say he wanted to stay in Melb to help rebuid the MFC - did I miss something here? Plus what is the likelyhood of Adel trading Danger or Danger actually wanting to come to the Dees Option 2 - I like but, and I've heard Sheil will come back to Melb, but who knows what GWS would want, would Frost also be involved? I like what you're saying Partyboy but the realist inside me can't see Danger happening and Sheil would be more complicated transaction
-
If we end up trading for Dangerfield what is to stop him walking from us next year as a free agent. Assuming he also doesn't sign an extension? I can't see Adelaide letting Danger go for anything less then pick 2 & another first rounder (possibly 3), and we haven't even discussed why a gun would want to join the MFC in the position we're in This thread is pure fantasy....

Bombers scandal: charged, <redacted> and <infracted>
Cheap Seats replied to Jonesbag's topic in Melbourne Demons
Over the past few weeks I have been able to come around to understanding Essendon's position on thiw whole saga. Without really knowing what happened at EFC and the investigation itself it does sound like a balls up from the AFL and ASADA and I can see why EFC is upset. But in saying that it I don't believe it clears their name (which i beleive it's what Little is claiming). And Hird I finally see his point, but again it doesn't clear his name completely. He was still in charge of an organisation (or head of sport or whatever) when this all went down - surely if this goes any further (if the Essendon case fails) he can't continue to work at the EFC? there are many examples of head coaches in the US and worldwide losing their jobs because of players or officals under them being caught out. I've never seen anything like this where the bloke in charge is not held accountable for actions of his employees or at least employees directly under his control (under his direction or not) I'd love to see Dean Robinson's unfair dismissal go to court - that would really speed this whole process up, and air out the closet. Another mystery how the EFC can claim nothing bad happened but somehow Robinson solely acted to the detriment of the EFC. This saga really is a Bold and the Beautiful episode (or series) -
If he could onld kick... sigh I actually agree with you Pman, I think Pigdog is a player worth presisting with. Not sure why he's been a sub so often? Did he get a preseason in???? Anyway with a big preseason and some more experience I think he could be a handy mid/half forward
-
Its a good discussion Jnr Mac It obviously wasn't (and I am not implying you're saying this) that we lost the game becuase of the frees - but it really annoyed me that so many soft free kicks were paid. real soft incedential stuff, then the Dees lay a good tackle the ball spills out (no legal possession) and no free.... The AFL will say they pay free kicks what the umpire sees... blah blah blah I am not sure 100% sure what other games have been like but the inconistent interpritaton really annoys me... Apologies I didn't really add to your discussion Jnr, i needed to get that off my chest.... their [censored] weak free kicks really kick a struggling team in the guts - it's equivalent to kicking a bloke when he's down IMO
-
Wow... I know know its tough times at demonland at the moment and we need a light or two but questioning a rookie on a handful of games is a bit too far of a strecth imo. Ask why blokes can't 2 way run or hit targets by hand or foot or beat their men in 1 on 1 contests. The kid will be ok if he gets the right support and has the right commitment. He's been asked to play forward pocket in a really poor offensive side, Im not ready to write him off yet

It was very tough viewing yesterday haha The first half was ok (nothing special and certainly not the best we've played all year), not converting our scoring shots really hurt. Then when GWS strung some goals together you could see the boys heads drop and go in to old habits. Kick long, don't chase etc. kind of give up. I think that is a result of lack of experience and leadership. I don't think it's all doom and gloom because we've seen earlier in the year that the boys can do it, but for whatever reason they can't meet the requirements for the gameplan at the moment. The good news is Roos will be able to see who can develop and who hasn't got it. A few more key inclusions will also help us not need to be over defensive - ie Hogan. but we need more quality mids Surely the footy gods will start to shine on us soon and enable our draftees to start to develop and some of the younger boys (Viney, Tyson, Toump and co) to develop that senior body and tank so in 2015 we can be competitive in more games for longer. -

No doubt I'va But i think the list is the first step and the most obvious void in the list is experience and leadership It's not just that simple but if we can get 18 blokes on the park who can play 120 minutes of Roos's gameplan we will be a decent team. We don't have that at the moment. And it's due to too many youngsters or bloke not pulling or can't pull their weight I have faith that Roosy will get it right Even though it means more suffering for us poor bastards haha - I really think if we stick to the plan we will get there. . -

Maybe hes fed up like the rest of us with terrible errors being committed over and over again (generally by the same ppl) I hear what you're saying though - because I agree with you're points. It is genuinely frustrating - Take fore example Kent - a real talented kid. Yesterday he couldn't get one F50 entry close to hitting a MFC player. So much talent so much waste. Anyway my point is we need to presist with blokes like Kent but god damn son, kick it to one of our blokes Hows can be just as bad. It really is mind boggling the errors they make game after game -no wonder their void of confidence. They clearly go in to their shells as well. you could see it against GWS. Roosy might not have always said the right thing publicly but hes right about it going to take more time -

I'd definitely shop him around Problem is opposition teams would see what we see and probably won't pay over the top for him. But sell if the price is right. I think he'll be at the club in 2015 though.... He's good but he's no star. He requires others to get him the ball -

I actually think in the cold light of day it isn't the end of the world this loss. The loss means we are able to make a couple moves at year end to help us short term as well as topping up on talent and cut some more dead wood. As much as I would love a w and god knows the Dees need some, and we've been down the draft picks path over and over - I still believe in Roosy Without going over the top with emotion and wo is me stuff - I think the majority of players on the list can't meet the expectations to play Roosy game plan week in week out. I am pretty confident it is a simple as that. If we had better skills we'd score more (turnovers are appauling) and with more two way running the team stays competitive (see the start of the year). Our boys simply can't back it up for a whole year Roos requires 18 blokes to put on pressure all over the ground to be effective. With no superstars and a lack of senior core it seems to be pretty simple for teams to get on top of us (at the moment) as not everyone is pulling their weight. We simply lack the experience and fitness I know this final 8 weeks has been tough and the light has gotten dimmer but I still don't think it's all doom and gloom. Stick with the plan and stick with Roosy, the rest will work itself out -

I like what you said WJ. A few things Roos has said have been worrying... There is no point trying to pin the blame on anyone it'd counter productive. But that is no excuse to drop your head on the field. From my POV we are taking this rebuild in steps to try rebuild. I just think the season has gotten too long for some players and they can't meet the two way running demands. If we are in this same spot next year I really will be worried. I expect after another preseason with Roosy we can turn some of these close losses in to wins -
Wow there are no excuses Unleash

Anyone under 50 games deserves a chance to establish themselves. Anyone else should be bait traded delisted

Fair call I'm just happy roosy is there we are a disgrace. No leaders no class
