Loving pigdogs work as well. Boys need to keep doing the basics right and we could be a sneaky chance.... probs only a small chance
-
Happy with the fight back considering they couldn't do anything right for 15 mins there - some poor umpiring but u need to take the good with the bad - that last Frawley goal was a gift from a soft free on Gray On Watts he is elite reader of play and ball user but he is poor at most other facets..... If u could put Watts skill in Dawes body you'd have quite a good player
-
Hats off to the big boys today - JAmar and Gawn And Grimes played a ripper Sadly we gave the game away early on... really need to work on the basics still.... Work in progress
-
if they could cut out the stupid errors and mistakes they might actually look ok Still a long way to go
-
i'd say they're focusing a bit more on ball movement forward which sacrifices defence ITs all a work in progress atm
-
I actually would like Chip to stay - i think that would send a good message for the club But we know what we're going to get from Chip - Solid 1v1 player but sub standard skills and decision I have no doubt he'll be a soild contributor - but if we can get a high first round pick and snag another quality mid I wouldn't be super upset in losing him...... PS i readily admit he'll be a good player in a good team - problem is we're not a good team yet...
-
Somehow still in the game At least they are consistent - Consitently poor decisions and disposals
-
Like t Mac - we need some quality ball users down back to support him... I'd lock t Mac for 3-5 yrs

Bombers scandal: charged, <redacted> and <infracted>
Cheap Seats replied to Jonesbag's topic in Melbourne Demons
Spot on Jnrmac I actually do feel sorry for the players - it is likely they've been duped in to taking substances. But the whole Hird and Essendon argument is that they didn't know - and I agree totally with what you've said. They're delaying to find a scape goat that won't be found. I hope this goes to court then the whole truth will be exposed and Essenscum will more then likely (depending on the evidence) still find themselves at fault -
Lot of love for the boys I just want to mention Crossy - some poor disposals today but god damn he makes up for it with his efforts and courage GO DEMONS

Bombers scandal: charged, <redacted> and <infracted>
Cheap Seats replied to Jonesbag's topic in Melbourne Demons
The questions left in my mind is - does the AFL now have an ethical issue? Should any Essendon player who received and show cause notice be allowed to play until they're cleared? What happened with Saad? Was that a club ban or an AFL ban when he was charged? -
Nutbean - just in response to our discussion I don't have a problem with our game plan or the direction of the club - I am not whinging about only kicking 3 goals - I am 100% on your side for that argument. My point was (I probably explained badly) I felt from the Media build up towards the game that the players were getting a little ahead of themselves. I'm all for media hype but I thought we went about it wrong. We're 3 - 7 before the game. We were a chance but no where near the quality of the Pies. I want to see W's not words...... There is still a lot of work to do before we really start building the hype IMO... (I understand the club wanted 80k at the G) but I really thought a few players in the media go ahead of themselves - That's what I am angry at.... especially being 3-8 and 15th on the ladder. I feel pi$$ed off they're telling me to support them after 4 years of rubbish - I want consistent results from them, then they'll see me at the ground every week.... I support the boys and the direction of the club - I repeat I just thought the club was getting ahead of itself out of desperation for attendance - it should have been handled better - or maybe am I expecting too much? We want to be a big player in the league then we need to handle the media and expectations a lot better.... Otherwise I am [censored] they tell me to turn up and serve that up on Monday (The anger is justified)

Nutbean (my quote isn't working but just to respond) I agree 100% we the supporters are getting a bit ahead of ourselves no doubt - but I actually agree with HH about the media display last week. I like we're growing confidence but we haven't beaten anyone of note nor have we been consistently winning. I thought the MFC media campaign last week was embarrassing..... Just my opinion - long way to go

A lot of self pity on this thread... contrary to belief a premiership side isn''t built overnight (in demon terms 50 years) Yesterday wasn't about just 3 goals, it's about building a team ethos... Sure it was ugly and we didn't score but I'll take Sydney in 05 any day of the week... Reality is the Dees are getting ahead of themselves atm, really need to clean up their ball use and need another big forward... And I'm not upset with yesterday because defence has been the first building block for a lot of good sides in recent history - (Swans, Pies, Cats etc) Time to move on to the bombers!
-
i agree with wyl - ump got that one very wrong.... if he's off his mark it's play on, if he plays on it play on....rubbish over officiating. Anyway I don't think we would have won even if it was a goal but that really gave the s$@#s PS - love little Nev - love his shepards, keep up the good work!
-
Very happy to say I was wrong about Dunn! Thought he was a lazy and uncompetitive footballer, under Roos he's turned himself in to Mr Reliable and Mr Versatile. Keep up the good work Lynden well deserved

What do we do with Grimes?
Cheap Seats replied to blue and red in the head's topic in Melbourne Demons
I won't give up on him just yet.... But hes a liability with the ball - hes good without but i cringe everytime he or Terlich touch the ball... Terlich seems to be improving somewhat in the past few weeks though - both still make glarring errors -
Haha nah mate but I did hear that As I said don't give a f what you want to beleive but kid wants out.... I can gaurentee you I got it off a bloke who heard it out of DS's mouth PS; And no I am not going to quote anyone - I dont' feel i need to impress anyone just passing on what I know
-
I don't know any specifics about his contract, all I know is he dosen't want to play at GWS and will assess his options I assume his manager will make enquires but you'd assume they'll evaluate options in September/October - you'd also assume he'd be keen to go to the bigger clubs but you never know these days!
-
I've heard DS wants out of GWS - wont name sources but he's keen to come back to Vic... Probs no real new news but I don't expect him to be in Sydney for much longer (ie end of 2014) - take from that what you will
