  1. Wagner very underrated around here. Not sure if there's a spot for him, maybe vince replaces lewy and wager for vinces role. Harmes forward
  2. I take on board your point Nasher and i do agree. I just think the fan base is over reacting a little. Theyll probablyget a week each for stupidity and it hurts our chances v the cats... i 100% agree. But I'm also happy to see some mongrel on feild. We didn't lay down yesterday. I don't condone stupid acts but its a different Melbourne and im happy about it. The Melbourne of old lays fown and gets beaten yesterday. In 10 weeks no one remembers this small stuff, they only remember the w. We as a club need some mongrel...thats just my opinion
  3. Not attacking u guys personally There wasnt much in both incidents. Apparently we have depth so it's a good opportunity to test it. At least find out the results before you guys sook it up. I'll take unsociable over the p weak crap dealt up in the past any day. Didn't we beat the cats without hogan and lewis in 2015? #raisehell #hardenupyblokes #pissweskclubispissweak
  4. Unsociable Dees Like
  5. Don't bother mate Most on Demonlanders think we are running out with the experience of the Swans/Hawkes each week and like to critique every small detail to the death. My positives for the day, We seem to be closing the gap on our best and worst footy. Building some consistency We were able to win although we didn't play great footy - that is a real sign of improvement as normally we drop these games We don't rely on 1 2 or 3 players to win us games. We are still young and we will get better There are plenty of negatives but we won ffs.,, There will be negatives in every game player by every club. Time to have a beer and enjoy the replay
  6. I'll take a w over a loss anyday. Now to go home and giggle at some [censored] commentry in thr game day thread
  7. Great Stuff KC look forward to your report Cheers
  8. Definitely. Ratten is a very interesting case. Im not sure what club he's (is he still with the hawks?) at the moment but is another who if wanted to you'd think could get another go at it. I suppose it comes down to the club and what they want to achieve.
  9. You are very wrong my friend. One would reasonably think neither team would be up and about but oh my oh my the tiger mates i know are excited/delusional. Its good though, it makes their eventual downfall much much sweeter. Bring on anzac eve
  10. It's an interesting discussion about coaching in general. There is another thread which is discussion coaching in the afl - and i agree it is a very boys club industry. At the end of the day what drives success at a club? Roos or Jackson. My thoughts would be Jackson in setting up the system for coaches etc to flourish. But a lot of credit for the current tem needs to goto roos as well. Which brings me back to Macca. Why doesn't the afl coaching industry allow for second chances? Would Macca get another senior coching gig? If someone clearly develops and learns from the failures why couldn't they jave a second chance at the senior job. I personally love Macca at thr mfc to continue to nurture oliver, brayshaw etc but i think it's an interesting discussion
  11. Find a streaming site or afl app are your best bets. I believe the afl does an international deal but i don't know details
  12. While i agree you dont have to look that far back clint Our era of footy pre 2015 was pretty bad
  13. Ive never understood that either swyl It casued a reaction but sadly we now know it was the wrong reaction Surely there was a better way then 186
  14. I think you're correct but maybe also a little over critical. I think generally disposal will improve with experience and more time playing together as a group. They're still quite young as a group which can contribute to errors. I also think it's more important to generate opportunities to score and gain possession to create the opportunity to score rather pure possession. Im happy with our current direction. You're overall point has merrit but in todays zone and pressure game turovers will happen continue to happen for all teams quite a lot. Structure is very important in this modern era.
  15. Dont mind the correction DC. I was going off the top of my head... I agree with some of the criticism on O Mac. But some only point out the vad and refuse to acknowledge any positives he brings. If anyone watches the replay note 2 or 3 scoring chains that werr set up from o mac kicks or defensive efforts
  16. I think it's a but early to make the comparison at this early stage in the season but maybe the dogs, i tend to lean towards that style and set up? I haven't seen enough to make a proper judgemen, but i agree with your observations. Tmac and Bernie were excellent on the weekend. I am also very interested to see how the defensive plan develops during the year when the stakes are higher
  17. Even though he cost a couple of goals with errors that should eventually leave his game (he's 20 yo ffs playing on a 34 or 27 yo guns)... i wonder if the experts on this site will acknowledge the goal scoring chains he started? Its very easy to point out the obvious
  18. Quite possibly, i think the swans like geelong are more negative/defensive... but im no expert on structures but i do enjoy observing. The structures employed by goody seem to be very aggressive and on Saturday that resulted in 10 to nil centre clearances in a row. Now you can put a lot of that down to gawn clarry viney etc but the agressiveness of the set ups and execution also saw a 10 goal unanswered demon run. I haven't seen that from a dees side in a long long time Im not one to get over too ahead of myself as its round 1 and we did best gws last year.. but i am genuinely excited about this side and how it's coached.
  19. In that 9 defenders situation stk out numbered us 7 to 3 in our forward line. Yet the out number and run from that set up won the ball.... i think it was gawn to brayshsw who handballed to trac on the break who hit hogan with the long entry. It was very impressive and very hard to pick up on the coverage. But seeing that from king and looking at the replay it was bloody impressive. It's hard to believe our team is playing smart footy. . I need to check this osnt a dream
  20. While i agree with you it has to be noted the loss of frawley did bring in brayshaw. While kpds are a hot topic at demonland atm I'm still happy with the above outcome
  21. I almost spat out my chardonnay....
  22. Thank god the footy starts in one day.
  23. Not to.mention marketing $$ I wouldn't feel too sorry for him
  24. hopefully just a stinger for Kent - that would be bad luck Thanks guys keep up the posts
