  1. Danger immediately comes to mind There is zero chancr Freo wont match any offer for fyfe.
  2. You do if they are rfa and the incumbent club chooses to.match your offer. Which there is zero chance Freo will let Fyfe walk
  3. Both aren't worth anymore then 4th rounders. Neither playing AFL - neither have any trade value except depth and salary cap space
  4. I heard a rumor that Collingwood were in to Dunn on Trade Radio today - briefly mentioned by Purple I think Then I thought surely I misheard that
  5. There is no awnser..... or we'll find out friday and it that it didnt go through because the player got confused and ended up staying at his club
  6. I hope you're right ProDee I also like what the club is doing
  7. Pun intended.? Haha
  8. It's not that ANB isn't talented enough to make the 1s it's that we have too many players that are inside mids. He needs to develop his run and carry but is a talented player and i personally wouldn't like to see him go cheaply
  9. Spot on. Clubs need to be able to get fair value regardless if they're the lions or pies etc All the power is with the players and aflpa. I'm no lawyer and a lot smarter people then i would know more about the issue in and be able to give more detail, but the main argument agsinst free trades would be the threat the players would sue clubs for restraint of trade and maybe breach some employment laws. The question is, should all afl players be employees of the afl? But we risk becoming American and ruining the sport all together. If the rich just get richer though and the poor are just nurseries for talent and leave the afl also is st risk of just vrleing boring rubbish.
  10. Interesting. Thanks DL5 I dont claim to be in thr know but i can't see the lions giving up pick 30 for Dunn who isn't even playing afl. Will be interesting to see how it plays out
  11. I reckon that will be pretty close to getting it done. I was finding it strange why we hadnt heard from Lyons for a while
  12. The lions dont want Dunn. They will get Frost for basically free. They're not a retirement home.they just want a big body to suppoet their developing talls And even if the lions do want Dunn, they wont gove pick 30 for a bloke who hasn't played afl all year
  13. Agree for the past couple of years our FD has been some of the best preformed. Really great job by Taylor, Mahoney, Viney and co. I don't think Hartlett will be at the Dees in 2017 personally Can see the tigs picking him up
  14. Or maybe he just wasn't interested in Ess or Worsfold.
  15. Just for fun.... Who is?
  16. Agree AAC Many people won't agree as they won't realise he played out of position all year for team balance. While he is not C Judd his contribution this year was excellent IMO. received the 2nd most Brownlow votes for the club, and finished 2nd in the B&F (My memory is a little hazy this morning haha). Excellent contribution from the captain. I hope he continues to drive the standards and bring on a bigger and better 2017 PS: had a giggle at myself as the summary of his year is in the op
  17. While the Boyd v Hogan stuff is riveting, it does highlight how important a decent KPP is. Hogan isn't a decent KPP, with the right support he's going to be star. Boyd highlights how important it is to keep and obtain quality talls. What did the dogs pay a mil per year over 5 years, to get him? I am sure a lot of you laughed at that price tag.... now look how they gloat. Boyd had a great finals series, played as a ruck and HF rotation which got him in to the game. He wasn't played like Hogan would as a power KPP. Very different players. Boyd has the potential to be like what Hogan already is The one thing the dogs have that we don't, is excellent on field senior leaders. Boyd (M), Murphy, Morris, (I think I'm forgetting 1) which were massive contributors, add guns kids like Wood, Libba, Picken, Dalhaus etc and what a great combo My point is we are not quite there yet, but if we keep Hogan we are a lot closer then if we are if we lose him.... Anyway as predicted no one actually knows where this contract is at. I still expect Hogan to be a Dee for 2017 and from there who the hell bloody knows. Buckle in kids
  18. Best of luck to Jack. Ripper bloke and a hard worker.
  19. Cats will want a 1st rounder as they traded them all last yr for danger and hendo.... Hahahaha I'm not against getting him but i wouldn't give away anything decent for him. He'd be a decent fa pick up, thats it
  20. Lies What will demonland have to complain about then?
  21. We can at this stage only deal with what we know. 1 Jesse hasn't asked to be traded - Bartlett and Goodwin 2 the Mfc won't trade him unless option 1 is enforced - his manager I want him to sign now, but we're going to have to be mature here and ride this out. Whats the longest thread on demo land.... Jesse may challenge it, as I can't see any resolution until 2017
  22. I agree totally agree Where we don't see eye to eye is you want an outcome now. I think showing loyalty and support shows maturity in our organisation. The simple question is why would you trade players you want to keep. It makes no sense and shows no loyalty even if it disadvantage the club. It's not a great look. I do understand the advantage and appeal, But a this is not then nba. If we want loyalty we need to show it. i also understand the argument to want an answer now and maximise the trade value, but you know what... What does that say to brayshaw, Oliver etc. Where is the loyalty? How do u ask a player to take less to keep the team together if u can't work with the players best interest in the first place? we can only control as a club what we can offer the rest is up to Jesse. We can only act when Jesse wants us to act. That is the afl we live in now. Blame free agency, blame Gil. This is what the aflpa wanted. Small clubs being feeder clubs for the big clubs. I understand the reality all too well. I know what history tells us will play out, I know like you the likely outcome. Let's not for to pressure as a club though. It's a great test for this organisation and our leaders but for the sake of discusion 2017 comes and we are here 12 months later, considering we investe 2 x top picks in Jesse and invested 4 years anything under 2 x top 10 picks would be a robbery.
  23. No probs... I completely disagree. we'll leave it there.. Sorry rtg I can't double up the debate
  24. No offence but if u think wce or freo can bully out a trade then im not the silly one here When and if hogan asks for a trade if a reasonable mv isnt paid it will open a huge can of worms about free agency
