TBH I would have preferred him to have one more season but am thrilled that he will be remaining with the club
-
Fact is, pretty much everyone is up for trade, if the price is right and if the football department thinks it will help us improve. So this rumour is probably true but means nothing atm
-
Out till 5am after the Brownlow.. Big deal. Missing a medical at Richmond... Actually that is a big deal, makes people's nervousness about him a lot more understandable

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - SAM WEIDEMAN

I quite like the thought as I know how much his family would despise seeing him in the red and blue -
From what I have read, he is in the VFL, but stuck behind Petrie and Waite
-
He has kicked 6 goals in one AFL game, name the Demons who have done that?He has 17 goals from his 16 games, yes no world beater, but does he beat Dawes and Pedo?
-
Surely you are not surprised

When the players were given free agency they should have been banned from nominating their own club before qualifying for FA
-
Is that a policy that is similar to the one that saw us pass on Jack "GF specialist" Darling?
-
From what little I have seen of him, have always liked him and reckon he could be a very good 2nd ruck / forward. Hard to do at North with Petrie and Goldie. Depending on what the lawyers think of his legal problems, is he worth the risk? (Out of contract now)

Agree re Fitzy. Said to Saty many times in past how I think he could have a reasonable career, but to have that, he would have to leave the Demons. I hope that prediction comes true -

Don't get to see as much footy now, very little of Essendon. I was in Australia for the Bombers game though and was annoyed that they dropped Melksham, so safe to say that the trade doesn't excite me. The WADA issue is why I personally wouldn't touch him. On the footy side, Roos has the runs on the board and Goodwin has worked with Melksham, so if such a trade happens, I will be reluctantly supportive. -
Roos said he wants players that are hard at it. I reckon it's safe to say, Col is one who gets the White line fever...
-
Yeah, he resigned..... In other news, Harley Bennel has told GCS he has decided to leave the club
-
Very true. Though not, I suspect, in the way you meant

There are going to be a lot of shocking threads this (as every) preseason. This one will take some beating

I remember him at Essendon. It's why (to much ridicule) I argued that we should have recruited him on the old Demonology -
Says more about Grimes

Completely disagree, as mentioned WADA (it's a WADA not ASADA issue now) are appealing because they think they will win. I think it is realistic to expect at least a 12 month ban for the 34. -
Freo could be a good team to trade with. They desperately need a forward who can mark. I see their premiership clock as having passed, but they may see it differently and be prepared to pay overs. Howe for next years first round draft pick.
