  1. To be fair Dazzle, with regards to off field behaviour, it's safe to say Col sunk the boots in first....
  2. No, he wasn't. No, I don't. There was a reason I was happy to wear the abuse and call for him to be traded each year after his first few seasons.
  3. Call me petty but while happy for Chunky and Rivers, can't say I get any joy in seeing Col get life membership. Got selected more on potential than performance, was a lazy selfish footballer who would have been shown the door from a real football club years before he was by ours. that said, half of those bagging him now vigorously defended him when each year the few of us called for the clown to be traded
  4. The people are getting scammed, the government know what is going on and how much is being rorted. Some in it turn a blind eye, undoubtedly taking their cut.
  5. The money some sods make ripping off the government and unemployed by getting them further 'education' is astounding and the system is as corrupt as just about any in the country
  6. I would agree completely if not for Stuie's habit of claiming someone is saying something when so often they have made it clear that is not the case
  7. After reading todays reports and the players completely neglecting to mention to drug testers about some of the injections, I withdrawal any and all defence I have made recently of them and have no sympathy at all towards them
  8. But how else will Bluey get any likes
  9. Everyone wants the players punished. They followed what the club was telling them. As far as anyone knows, they thought everything was approved by their Doctor, something they had clear directions from the AFL. They were trained BY THE AFL in their drug education sessions to go to the club doctor, not WADA. That they went across the road for injections is completely irrelevant, if they were under the belief that this was approved by the Dr. Doc Reid wrote to the club, not the players. Did they know he was on the outer? If they went outside of the club for advice, were they risking being sacked and sued by the club for breaking confidentiality and thus destroying their careers. It is the club that has behaved disgracefully, not the players. The club should be thrown out of the AFL for at least two years. There administration and coaches directly involved should be banned for life (possibly screwing us but so be it) but any verdict on the players should be token at best IMO.
  10. Yes they were advantage, but disagree they are as much to fault. Fact is the AFL training told them to check anything through their club doctor. This was done through the club. They were screwed by a club administration that would do "whatever it takes", the club should be punished to the max not the players IMO
  11. I know this is against what most see here, but I have little wish to see the players have the book thrown at them. IMO the blame for this debacle lays squarely at the feet of the EFC and the AFL (due to poor teaching standards, ie check with club doctors). If WADA are serious, mths would suspend the whole football club for two seasons at least, but only give the players a slap on the wrist. Let the AFL clean up the mess caused by suspending Essenscum
  12. Would be happy if he has the same attitude to tackling and the work rate of "skills"
  13. So which of the Hulk and the Weed will be Cheech and which one Chong
  14. Safe to say he doesn't rate the players most discussed here very highly, was surprised where he rated Weideman, Curnow and Oliver. Also gave food for thought on Parish vs Francis for number 3
  15. Would be very annoyed if we didn't draft a mid
  16. The journalists are guessing. We have run a very tight ship in recent times, we aren't going to start leaking now
  17. From what I remember reading, he said that they were seperate deals "at this stage". Big difference IMO
  18. If it is true that Howe had meeting and a detailed package put to him over the last month but has only now let us know his preference, he really is a selfish .... Screw him and his parasitic manager, would prefer to force him into the PSD than get bent over by them
  19. Yes, he has had a few ordinary years, but considering how much of a shambles the Dons were in that time, it's understandable. As pointed out, if he can recapture his 2013 for, he's a bargain. I hope he can, though am still concerned about the elephant...
  20. Completely agree and if players know that they will have a gun like Hogan to deliver to long term, then our chances of becoming a 'destination club' increase
  21. Grand final over. Trade week yet to begin, but we have trade radio. Melbourne, cultural capital of Australia.
  22. A massive thanks to you Andy, to Andrew and all of you who have helped provide such a wonderful sight for Demons fans. As someone who lives overseas, I love being able to get on here and talk some footy with fellow Demons fans, as God knows there isn't any other opportunities living in rural Nepal!
  23. There are few people I have wanted to see succeed more than Jack. Poor bloke would be rated as an A grade midfielder by now if his body hadn't failed him. I hope like hell that he can get a good run at it and become the fantastic player that he looked destined to be
