Impact of rule changes
One issue with the 666 starting formation will be IMO a greater importance to the role of the ruckman (and may be why we have recruited Preuss to play alongside Gawn - something I have concerns about), a good tap ruckman who can give his midfielders first use of the ball and a quick entry into the 50 will be worth the weight in gold. On that, quality contested marks in the forward 50 will be of even more importance due to many of the clearances being long and direct forward 50 entries. This rule has the potential of being enormously beneficial to the Demons

Anyone for cricket?
Lol at those that compares Paine’s wicketkeeping with Wades. No idea.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - KADE KOLODJASHNIJ
I don’t think that Hunt is a particularly bad kick, but rather he doesn’t steady himself before kicking it, too often trying to kick when at full pace

Goodwin signs on until end of 2022
5 even 6 years. Are those posts serious? 3 years should make all parties very happy.

2019 Fixture
Really? Living here, I had never noticed. (Get the sarcasm this time?)

2019 Fixture
A great alliance for both the club and the NT, long may it continue. Love the way you talk about the “climate” in the NT, because Alice and Darwi; have very similar climates?

Farewell Jesse Hogan
While I get, understand and agree with most of your post, he was talked up from season one big time as what he did in his first season on the ground put others to shame, he just hasn’t really put the foot down, but if and when he does, he will be a scary opponent to play against

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Pick 65 is what it is (not 55) and it is not a kick in the teeth, it is a mild bump off the ball, the sort of bump that makes you laugh

Thanks Cameron Pedersen
Good on him. Love his choice of clothing. Will never forget the looks I got when I rocked up to my graduation at Monash in dirty jeans and an old jumper?

Recruiting a 3rd tall forward to find another 50 goals?
Very true, but those two years would have been invaluable for Hogan’s development, something that shouldn’t be discarded

Recruiting a 3rd tall forward to find another 50 goals?
Do remember, what we remember as Hogan’s first year was actually his third year in the system and in that year, he didn’t perform comparably to how Weid did in some huge games to finish this season. (Don’t get me wrong, I rate Hogan enormously and was gutted when I first thought about him leaving, but I do believe we will be a better team with the inclusion of May)

Recruiting a 3rd tall forward to find another 50 goals?
He won’t be at his peak next year, but he will be an important player
