The best available at all times. Turn it around and imagine standing up and explaining to your board that you bypassed a better footballer who was at exactly the same price to take someone that you freely admit is not as good a footballer. Best way to lose your job.

On the club's page it now says that Jones, Bartram, Moloney and Bleese have signed for two years; Jack Grimes has extended to 2013. Edit Forgot about Barts.

I haven't totally kept up with the moveable feast that the AFL has given GC and GWS, but GC were able to name 17 year olds last year, 10 from memory, that committed them to GC this year. I presume that GWS will be able to do something similar. The point being that, if Jack Vivey is so highly rated, GWS would surely want to grab him ASAP. Does he then have to commit to being a father/son selection a year ahead of time, because of the GWS concessions?

If they cut Fevola, they will be in greater Salary Cap problems than if they didn't. They will have to negotiate a payout, which will all fall into next year's cap. That is why this whole situation stinks to high heaven; the only way for the Lions to get out from under the Fev contract is for the AFL to de-register Fev or for them to "find" some heinous crime that will void his contract. The AFL will come to the party in a heartbeat, as they have had Fev in their sites for some time, but the AFL Players Association will not cop voiding the contract. Either way, Brisbane are screwed.

You can't stay on the Rookie list forever, I think both Spencer and McKenzie are at the end of their tether and must either be elevated or delisted.

I voted yes when this poll first started because I took the question in a more general sense than most here have. Liam Jurrah is a star of the MFC. He fits in beautifully with the vision that we are trying to develop of a club that embraces its community and reaches out to the far flung courners of this country and the world. He is exciting in the things he does on the football field, but it is his position as a representative of his community where his greater value lies. People, even opposition supporters, talk about Liam with awe, he provides excitement and generates interest in the MFC; that is what makes him a star. Jimmy Stynes is a star of the MFC, so is Liam Jurrah. Liam's best football is still in front of him; but he is already star.

Scully and Trengove are both first year players; Rockliff and Hannebery are second year players. Chalk and cheese; imagine if Scullgove were eligable next year.

6. Frawley 5. Dunn 4. Green 3. Scully 2. Jurrah 1. Garland

His appeal was dismissed.

No, it is still only the mandatory three. Rookie upgrades now count as a pick. Having said that, I believe that we will move on at least four, not counting rookies.

6. Sylvia 5. McKenzie 4. Garland 3. Bartram 2. Dunn 1. Frawley

I think that the 12-10 rule only applies in finals and against non-aligned clubs during the season. Having said that, I think it is a good idea. It is also one of the main drivers behind clubs bringing in their own dedicated VFL teams.

I think we killed them in the centre clearances; and around the ground wasn't too bad either.

6. Sylvia 5. Frawley 4. Green 3. Garland 2. Jamar 1. McKenzie Apologies to 16 others.

Our kick-ins are coming along nicely; except for the times where Cam Bruce has the ball in his hands.

Fitzy played in the Casey 2s.

MFC & Wood supporters abandoned by VLine after game
John Dee replied to bush demon's topic in Melbourne Demons
I sympathise, don't let that stop you from taking the train next time; it is a no-brainer. I take the freeway to Burke Road, missing any tolls, park at Gardiner and train it to Richmond or Spencer Street. No hassle with parking and no parking fees, no wait to get out of the carpark. They run football specials after each game that leave about a half-hour after the game ends. -
The minimum is still three; rookie elevations count as use of a draft pick.

For mine, I would move Green to a permanent forward role, Grimes to the midfield rotation and Cheney to the back flank.
-
The only reason I would look at him is so people would know why I was shaking my head.
-
The basic problem was that Miller had two options and that is one to many for our Brad. He had to move forward and shepherd Brown or turn and run to make space for a handball, isolating Brown and exploiting the two-on-one. Brad was still dithering when Watts arrived and Brown could not believe his luck.

Grimes was recruited as a midfielder. He is doing a great job at half-back, but he would do a great job anywhere; he would be a better ruck option than Sylvia. It is Grimes who is being played out of position, and we have a ready replacement for him. I am one of the people that have a soft spot for Cam Bruce but (I can't quite believe I am saying this), the clock is ticking.
-
Rhino, the basic problem is that the better Demon players at Casey are all in the backline. Cheney is going great guns, Strauss is coming along nicely and MacDonald even kicked two goals from the half-back line on Saturday. Cheney's defensive work is first rate and I would promote him next week. To do this something has to give, as he is an out-and-out defender. For me, I would send Grimes to the midfield and replace him with Cheney. Failing that, did someone mention Bruce?

There are many rumours areound at draft time; maybe Everitt was available, but he certainly wouldn't have come for free.
