  1. I prefer the new one; it is Jurrah's alone.
  2. I'm in, at $20, I might even buy a couple.
  3. I am sure that the club will ensure that we are financially advantaged should we move. In the latest upgrade to the Tennis precinct they are going to complete the footbridge and get it to go over Swan Street, or is that Olympic Boulevard, to AAMI Park. Whilst it has been a cherished dream to have the whole club in one building, a quick walk across a footbridge is pretty damn close.
  4. G'day wacker, on a more or less unrelated topic - How have IK been going of late?
  5. We can name three emergencies. The only changes for the second game must come from them.
  6. I am really looking forward to it; it is football and that is what I crave. I think we are a fair chance of winning both games; you just don't know how either of the Adelaide clubs will view playing us when they would dearly like to beat each other. I want to finally see Tapscot and Blease play in a Melbourne jumper. Maybe a couple of the new guys, Howe? I want to see Gysberts, Scully and Trengove in the middle, Garland and Grimes down back, Jurrah and Watts up forward ... I just want to see some football!
  7. You need to have 'Display a notification about every script error' set on. Just by clicking reply to your message I got the following undefined messages line 83 ipb line 133 Loader line 450 ipb line 490 ipb line 519 ipb line 639 ipb line 231 ipb
  8. There are about eight javascript errors mostly to do with 'ipb' being undefined.
  9. This is not Crazy Kev's original idea. I heard an interview on SEN last year with the guy who runs AFL development in Europe and it is the game they play on soccer fields over there. It was a very interesting interview. He mentioned, amongst other things, that they were pitching the 11 a side game to the UK government as a game to be played in schools. They are pitching the fitness angle of the game as opposed to soccer in line with the UK government's fight against obesity. Wedge politics at the very best.
  10. I got the final one yesterday.
  11. When things like this happen the manufacturer takes the hit. The 'defective' item is sold at a discount price with the manufacturer making up the difference. Presupposing that it is the manufacturers fault, the club loses nothing.
  12. As a long standing atheist, I do not abhor religion, I ignore it. I don't have a problem with the club having a chaplain as I am sure that the main activity of such a person would be in counselling, something that every AFL club needs.
  13. Jurrah should be removed from this discussion as he was not available to be drafted in the National Draft. He had to get special dispensation from the Commission to get into the Pre-Season Draft; where we were surreptiously waiting, courtesy of Chris Johnson(at least that is what I tell Carlton supporters).
  14. There is no way we would have ever won the Kreuzer cup; Carlscum were never going to let us win. My daughter bought a couple of Pommy friends to the game and I explained to them the draft situation and exactly how the game would play out before the first bounce. The only thing I did not predict with unerring accuracy was Whitnall kicking backwards and dashing back to be the most unaccountable loose man in defence that I have ever seen.
  15. He actually gave us Trengove. We still would have had the first pick, and picked Scully with it.
  16. As the old adage goes - It is no so much about the size of the dog in the fight, but the size of the fight in the dog. Nothing to worry about here, move on.
  17. The best available at all times. Turn it around and imagine standing up and explaining to your board that you bypassed a better footballer who was at exactly the same price to take someone that you freely admit is not as good a footballer. Best way to lose your job.
  18. On the club's page it now says that Jones, Bartram, Moloney and Bleese have signed for two years; Jack Grimes has extended to 2013. Edit Forgot about Barts.
  19. I haven't totally kept up with the moveable feast that the AFL has given GC and GWS, but GC were able to name 17 year olds last year, 10 from memory, that committed them to GC this year. I presume that GWS will be able to do something similar. The point being that, if Jack Vivey is so highly rated, GWS would surely want to grab him ASAP. Does he then have to commit to being a father/son selection a year ahead of time, because of the GWS concessions?
  20. If they cut Fevola, they will be in greater Salary Cap problems than if they didn't. They will have to negotiate a payout, which will all fall into next year's cap. That is why this whole situation stinks to high heaven; the only way for the Lions to get out from under the Fev contract is for the AFL to de-register Fev or for them to "find" some heinous crime that will void his contract. The AFL will come to the party in a heartbeat, as they have had Fev in their sites for some time, but the AFL Players Association will not cop voiding the contract. Either way, Brisbane are screwed.
  21. You can't stay on the Rookie list forever, I think both Spencer and McKenzie are at the end of their tether and must either be elevated or delisted.
