  1. don't blame the AFL, blame telstra... they're lazy, firefox isn't even fully supported for their websites...
  2. i can't believe that people think this jumper is worse than the clash jumper we currently use... if anyone remembers a question in the last advisory session, if the club had to add another colour to our clash strip, which colour would you prefer? i remember voting for silver, and i think they've come through with the goods... there isn't too much happening, it's sleek yet relatively simple... hope to see the boys wearing it next year
  3. he runs a fishing company on the northern NSW coast... his back doesn't hold up well in the cold melbourne winters...
  4. i think Lynden Dunn will have a great year next season add C. Sylvia, C. Johnson to the list too...
  5. just curious Nasher, what's the source of those figures... i just find it strange that i haven't seen that type of information pop up before... you would think that this kind of information would be news worthy, worth running a story in one of the main newspapers... i can see the headline now... Kangaroos assistance anything but special
  6. he obviously didn't get very far in the process, did he speak to anyone from the club, or was he culled by the recruiting company? of the list of applicants, he seemed to be the least qualified at the time, seemed like he was a kid in grade 2 wanting to play with the grade 5 kids... but you've gotta feel for the bloke, he's gone from being an assistant coach at an AFL club, to coaching Sunbury, that's a massive reality check... it obviously says something about him though, not being able to find a job elsewhere, although apparently when he coached Box Hill i think it was, he did a good job... there are so many positions out there for someone with his experience, VFL, TAC Cup, SANFL, WAFL, if he was really committed to it he should leave melbourne and go and coach in Adelaide or something... to be honest i'm surprised he hasn't applied for the Sandy position... or maybe that's the interview he's complaining about!
  7. that's the best reply of the thread... as for my answer, take your pick Blink 182 - Pathetic Blink 182 - Dammi Foo Fighters - Good Grief Foo Fighters - Hell Regurgitator - I like your old stuff better than your new stuff
  8. that's an extremely stupid comment... we trade TJ for a first round selection... and we get sampi with a 4th round or PSD selection...
  9. it looks like the roos will be leaving, which is a shame, but i'd be horrified if it were my club... the most frustrating thing about this is that the AFL are saying the Roos can't support themselves, when the Roos are creating revenue for the AFL... i believe the TV rights package works out to about $1 million per game, maybe a little less... 11 home games, lets say $10 million a year... why is the AFL entitled to this money? i believe it should go to the clubs, who then pay affiliation fees to the AFL to be a part of the competition... but that's not gonna happen, so i think it's hello Gold Coast Kangaroos...
  10. exactly, doesn't have the acceleration or the brute strength... put this in the same pile that he's hooking up with cameron diaz over there...
  11. he will fit right in playing in the NFL... but most likely a load of BS... how far can he kick, he isn't a small kick, but not a monster by any means either...
  12. there is a great upside to him if he gets himeself right... and they club aren't going to go out and blow a top pick on him... we will have a look at him with our 4th selection (pick 50 something), and unless something falls through that low which CAC likes the look of, like a bartram, then I think we will take him... if someone else takes him before us, then good luck to them...
  13. i just think if neita has another injury interrupted season next year we've gone backwards leadership wise... i think the job should be given to Brad Green, then give it to Brock or Nath Jones in about 3 years time...
  14. well he's stated he wants to play on... if the tigers pass on him he will be ours for the taking @ pick 3 in the PSD... i really think if he's there we should take him...
  15. it''s good that we have CC as he will know everything about these players, and why they were delisted... hopefully he saw something in one of them that harvey doesn't, and we pick one of them up cheap...
  16. disappointing for freo fans that mainly dunn, collard and hadrill are delisted... would've thought all three would become good players...
  17. i thought his best game was against the doggies later in the season... played well in the middle, kicked a couple of goals...
  18. I'm interested in your thoughts on these two Barry... do you think either of them are up to AFL level, and do you think either of them will be drafted? We've heard lots of good things about Valenti, and some about Martin, what's your take on them both?
  19. exactly what i was thinking...
  20. has anyone else been as impressed with Lynden Dunn as I have? he doesn't get the wraps like some of our other young players, for example Bate, Jones, Newton etc... however I think this kid could be the best of the lot... was thrown in the deep end when we had injuries and presented well as a half forward... was given limited opportunities this year, but i believe he grabbed every last little bit of opportunity given to him... played in the middle in a tagging role... not only did he nullify his opponent, but hurt them the other way... also showed the ability to kick goals in the midfield... Bailey keeps talking of not limiting the expecations we have on our players, always looking for improvement... he is the one player who has made the most out of all the opportunities given to him, and i can't wait to see what he can do under Bailey...
  21. is there wooden spoon odds? i wonder if we're favourites for the spoon... and where did you get those odds from? here are the odds from sportsbet.com.au and we're 3rd from the bottom, ahead of richmond and essendon... Geelong 3.50 Collingwood 10.00 Port Adelaide 10.00 West Coast 10.00 Hawthorn 11.00 Fremantle 12.00 Adelaide 15.00 St Kilda 15.00 Sydney 17.00 Brisbane 26.00 Kangaroos 26.00 Carlton 31.00 Western Bulldogs 34.00 Melbourne 41.00 Essendon 51.00 Richmond 67.00
  22. they desperately needed a ruckman, they were exposed in the finals when they didn't have fraser and were left with bryan and richards... weren't interested in another midfielder...
  23. still a long way to go yze, before he ends up at the MFC...
  24. i very much doubt cousins will enter the PSD, he'll either be at WCE or retire... also interesting to note daniel chick is being looked at too... i ask what do the two clubs he has played for (WCE and Hawthorn) have in common?
  25. as he's done in the last couple of seasons... playing on the wing, and dropping back into the hole helping out the backline...
