  1. Please give me the link to this site.
  2. Col on H Shaw would be a great matchup, I'd isolate Col in the square as he is a lot stronger and better in the air than Shaw.
  3. With Melbourne I'm always loath to be confident, but I honestly believe we'll beat the Pies this week.
  4. I just want supporters to be patient with him, key defenders often take 3-4 years to develop so I doubt he won't get towelled up a few times on the way. He will be a very good player for the MFC, has excellent mobility for a guy who is 192cm.
  5. Honestly I'd rather Pav or Riewoldt over Judd, Judd is better than Riewoldt and equal with Pav IMO but we need a key forward more than another midfielder, even if it is Judd.
  6. Massive game, we aren't going anywhere this season but I'd love nothing more than to beat Collingwood (Twice). Just as a question of interest, I was told BT on MMM made some comments that weren't taken too well by some Melbourne supporters (They were the ones who told me) after the game, not quite sure what they were about but if it was to do with the game this week I'd love to smash the Pies and rub it in that fat ****s face, he has always had bias against us (I'd love to smash Collingwood no matter what the situation).
  7. Sorry Neale, you're a great bloke but the best thing for the MFC is a new coach in 2008.
  8. Bell to take Didak and crush the scum as Dees knock off Collingwood by 20 points.
  9. I think Clint_Bizkit is owed a few apologies. I like the Biz in the team, he has a cool head and is a good user of the ball and is courageous and a great mark. Would rather him over CJ, and I'd rather CJ over Ward.
  10. Jones won't be going anywhere. Seriously, we just need a midfielder with good pace who can break the lines (Please throw the book at one during trade week), because we already have Beamer, McLean, Sylvia and Jones in our future midfield, with possibly Bate and Bell. On second thoughts, could Bell (In a few years obviously) be the line breaker we need? We all know he is very quick and a great kick when he doesn't start thinking about it, also very strong and courageous, what are everyones thoughts? I'm not proposing take him out of the backline anytime soon, but in a few years time could he play permanent midfield?
  11. I have the whole carton on my face. I thought we'd be top 4 and wouldn't lose a game until we played WCE.
  12. Bell >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Brown and Whelan by a long way. Far better disposal (He would be one of our best users of the ball, I'm not kidding he is a wonderful kick), stronger, taller, faster and very hard at it (Brown is also, but doesn't have the other traits). He is also accountable and more often than not beats his man.
  13. On pure talent I rate him no.1 at the club. I like the way ND is using him, fair enough not playing him in the middle till he builds up a good fitness base. Then, he will tear sides apart....
  14. Ah well. High draft pick. New coach. Another year into Moloney, McLean, Sylvia, Bate, Jones, Bartram, Rivers and co.
  15. Weagles up 1.3.9 to us yet to score. Judd seems to be getting a lot of it early, I can't get radio so I'm relying on the afl.com score updates.
  16. I would take Sheeds in a second. He wouldn't take crap from the players, he's a proven success, I'd love him at the club.
  17. I admit I do have very high expectations with Col, but I have a lot of faith as well. He will be a star, he can play midfield and forward, just have faith and let him get fit and play out the rest of the year. He has and still does have the potential to be our no.1 player and seriously one of the elite in the competition.
  18. I have heard he is a Muslim, is this true? In no way would it change my opinion of him (Love/hate relationship, as many Dees supporters have with him) but I wondered if he was because Houli wouldn't be the first Muslim to play AFL. I think the poor kid Houli and his story has been ridiculously blown up as well, but was just curious about Yze.
  19. Bit stupid to compare players after one has played three games, the other zero, both in their first year on an AFL list.
  20. See this is what sh1ts me with this forum. One poster makes a point about what Robbo said (Didn't see Robbo say it myself, was switching between TFS and playing 360) and then says we should kick it long to our forwards, and what do you know, half the forum jumps on him saying he is wrong and an idiot. I don't care who is up forward, it is a pretty simple plan if we want to win games would be to put a big guy in the square who can at least give a contest and give Flash and co. a chance at ground level. Nothing puts more pressure on a defense than a long kick, but wait, lets handball around the half back line and lose games due to it (Rounds 1 and 2). And if anyone brings up the Sydney game and say our delivery was poor because we kicked long, no it wasn't due to long kicking, it was due to poor decisions by the players, there is a time for long kicking when the forward is one out, you don't just hack it in blindly.
  21. I don't think we'll make finals with our draw. We have to win 12 of our next 18 to finish 8th I would think. Maybe 11 wins would get us in but we'll have a poor % unless we smash a few teams which I doubt will happen.
  22. Spot on. He was fantastic today, but people are kidding themselves calling him a 'champion' and has been poor up till today for a long time. I'd love nothing more than to see him play well, but it is very disappointing when a player of his talent is soft and lazy.
  23. He is 20 this year. Yes he has been bad, but don't write his career off. He needs to go back to Sandy for a few weeks.
  24. Has anyone considered Blight? Yes, I doubt he would come back to coaching, but I firmly believe he is an excellent coach and could develop our list very quickly into a premiership contender.
  25. Won't argue on Ebert, Watson or Rivers (Who we have thankfully), but the others? What has Staker ever done? Selwood played a few good games in 2005 but hasn't done much since, L Fisher is a good handy defender but Belly has showed far more than him. Bell is quick, strong, hard at it, accountable and has excellent footskills. His awareness is poor, but I'd prefer him to stay on the HBF and be told to run up the ground as much as possible as he is a very good user of the ball.
