  1. He wanted to be picked up as a rookie and in all likelihood would have been if he did not suffer another injury. Unfortunately he did. His potential as an AFL player was not killed but rather the hope of his body holding up to the rigour and demands of an AFL player were. I wish him well at Sorrento.
  2. Instrumental records only date back to 1850 and that is coincidentally the end of the Little Ice Age. I'm thankful it has warmed since then. The 18 year hiatus we are currently experiencing, is acknowledged by the IPCC, yet is completely contrary to their earlier predictions of rapid warming. When your predictions don't materialise it is a fair indication your theory is sick.
  3. Garland seems to play better when his confidence is up and that didn't happen last year off no pre-season. Vince has an arrogance about him that I suspect will translate into him playing well anyway.
  4. Interesting the team that won the kicking precision included Grimes, McKenzie and Terlich.
  5. I'm not sure about the frequency of the X-rays but I do know they seem to be handling it differently to when Garland did it. Garland was told to slim down and lose weight so there would be less stress on his foot when he began running again and slowly build the muscle back over time. From all reports they seem to be loading Trengove up in the gym.
  6. Jones - Grimes, Dawes, Dunn, Garland is the core. We are building a culture and others will need smash there way into it rather than be gifted a spot. Respect may be gifted a little to some of these blokes but from where we have come from I'm happy with this core. The next wave of leaders that could break into the group are Viney, Tyson, Jetta and Gawn.
  7. The nature of small crumbing forwards is inconstancy. They don't lead out and mark it themselves they rely on the ball hitting the deck and positioning themselves to exploit it with maximum chance of kicking a goal or creating a goal scoring opportunity. The fact Garlett has kicked 40+ a season a number of times demonstrates he is good at his trade.
  8. July 31st, my birthday, and don't I regret asking the wife to take me to Kardinia Park for my birthday in 2011.
  9. When I went to training mid way through 2014 they were doing ball movement simulation from back to forward and there was a clear emphasis on slowing it down, chipping it side ways and keeping possession. Basically any effort to move it forward where there was any risk was discouraged.
  10. Interesting that you view Amnesty International as far left.
  11. I like the wrecking ball bit but the rest of your post is hopelessly wrong. I'm not sure what the "stated facts" you a referring to is about but I'm guessing it is not the factual number of dead people killed by Islamc extremists. For the record I am no more anti-islam than I am anti any other religion. It's just that the far left have sided with Islamic extremists because they have the same hatred of Western values, so calling someone anti-Islamic (Islamophobe) is the new catch cry of the far left. You used to know you were winning an argument when someone called you bigoted and now you can add anti-islamic to that. Play the ball not the man, how about negating the argument?
  12. You can relax, when I woke up to the news it sent a shiver down my spine. I take no joy in terrorism..
  13. I think Jordie's disposal is better than he is(n't) given credit for. Yze and Travis Johnstone had some shockers as well, it happens. Make or break year for him and I am in the minority camp that believe it will be make.
  14. I love a warm fuzzy story but I also like facts. Do you understand Rachel Jacobs made it up?
  15. Gone are the days of having skinny outside blokes. ie Morton, Gysberts etc as depth players. If Terlich, McKenzie or Riley get a game they will rip the head off blokes to stay in the team.
  16. And what if the original idea was a fraud? What if it was made up just to distract from the real problem?
  17. For once it is difficult to name the bottom 5 players.
  18. If any take longer than reading The No T$ No B$ Thread, other than Trangove on his crutches, we need to delist.
  19. Another terrorist attack in France over night. I'm not sure whether they were lone wolves or part of the pack. Hopefully they have a nice #hashtag in France today.
  20. 1) Max Gawn - Jamar and Max have both done full pre-season to date we really need Max to command the number 1 ruck spot 2) Toumpas - Been written off by far too many far too early. Body is right and he is ready to shine. 3) Dom Tyson - Performed better last year than even the most optimistic supporter could have expected. Come on again like that this season and we have one of the best midfielders in the comp. 4) Newton / Mitchie / Pig Dog -one or two of these guys to cement a spot in the side and we really do have competition for midfield rotations 5) Hogan - We don't need a Coleman or Jackovich first season but 40+ goals would be lovely
  21. The fact Richmond are 9th on the I50 differential ladder is all the evidence I need. Accurate.
