THE DRUG SCANDAL: AFL TRIBUNAL DECIDES
Wrecker45 replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
I just cannot understand the no records. Dank can't be trusted but he has said in an interview that at the time of his dismissal the records were on the clubs intranet (whilst not completely up to date). The AFL after tipping off Essendon and then having Essendon self report apparently seized all the computers at the EFC and had them forensically analysed by deloites. Surely something had to have turned up there. It would be easy for Dank to keep a detailed record and just leave off anything they were injecting that was banned But for nothing to turn up on any of the computers seized by the AFL is very odd. Are the AFL sitting on the information? -
Same here and then we'll sub him off at half time and Brayshaw will come on and get 30 possessions in the second half. Saviours.

WorkSafe investigate workplace practises and come down harshly where unsafe practises lead to death or injury of employees. The Grocon incident killed a 3rd party not an employee. The penalty would be legal liability not worksafe. -
THE DRUG SCANDAL: AFL TRIBUNAL DECIDES

The Premier supports the CFMEU we've already seen that. I don't see this as political. WorkCover Victoria will smash Essendon regardless of a Liberal/Labor State Government. It is state based legislation but every employer in Australia must provide a safe workplace for their employees. Some kind of injecting program where the employer can't (wont) disclose what employees have been injected with is NOT safe work practise. -
Shorten's small target scare campaign strategy has just been found wanting in the NSW state election. Malcolm Turnbull will not take the thrown (of the Liberals). The only voters who like him are those that wouldn't vote Liberal anyway. Scott Morison or Julie Bishop will replace Abbott if he is knifed which in itself is unlikely. Agreed the final step from top ranking minister to PM is a hard one. I really liked Gillard as a minister besides the fact I was ideologically opposed to alot of her policies. Once she got the top job I think she struggled and I believe was poorly advised.

Link please. If the evidence changes I'll change my mind. -

I know Dank has been unreliable throughout this whole saga but he has categorically said that the records were on the intranet up until his dismissal. These things can't just disappear there are forensic IT guys that can recover it. I can't understand why this hasn't been investigated further. -
ASADA can't challenge. On SEN they're saying ASADA had internal advise that there was insufficient evidence to even issue Show Cause notices. WADA might challenge because the whole thing is the shambles but the whole thing has been so poorly managed I don't think they would get a different result. WorkCover are coming to get Essendon.
-
WADA and ASADA's weakness ie. not being able to prove what was ingested is Workcovers strength. Essendon will be belted for this just not by the anti-doping authorities.
-
Haha I was ambiguous on purpose.

This is no capitalist problem. Demetriou was a left wing dictator. The AFL is not free market there are salary cap restrictions, draft concessions etc... Me thinks you are just anti capitalist and find reason to hate capitalism wherever you look.
-
I'm not often right (except on the general discussions board) so I will claim this one. As I have said all along Essendon will get smashed by the workcover authority worse than ASADA, the AFL or WADA could ever do to them.

How much water has been contaminated by the 3.5 million sites world wide where fracking has occurred? -
If we pants GC and Brayshaw dominates at Casey what happens?
-
And he still smashed Gillard / Rudd at the last election in a landslide. Both of them are more popular and marketable than Shorten.
-
Gone are the days of gifting games to early draft pick who aren’t ready and are just kids. The nightmare of Jack Watts debut will be etched in the memories of Melbourne supporters for far too long. But Brayshaw has been dominant at Casey and from all reports is just a natural footballer who wins his own footy and uses it well. For all the talk of not playing kids in the Roos era we played JKH and Salem early. Neither of them tore it up at Casey to the extent Brayshaw has. Is it time to build a legacy of kids having to smash down walls to break into the team or do we reward form and give Brayshaw a game?
-
Mine too. Pilbersek would be so far out of her depth and lose in such a landslide that the Labor party would have to re-invent itself and create a better option for the voters. I would even consider voting for them again.

Nutbean I agree on most except Abbott. Whilst misunderstood he has still become PM, he is no dingbat. His gaffes are legendary but break them down one by one and if it wasn't Abbott nobody would blink and eye lid. Being hated and chopped down by a largely left wing media is one of his strengths. The harder they try to peg him down or throw gotcha questions at him the more he becomes the underdog and you know how that works in Australia.
-
Completely agree. If we can get a win on the board first up it will give the players, coach's and supporters some much needed confidence. Confidence is something we have been lacking for a very long time.

I really think the AFL should ban clubs from revealing signings during the football season. This year we know Garland is out of contract at seasons end but even if Melbourne do sign him on during the year we shouldn't be allowed to reveal it until the season finishes. It will kill off all the media speculation and the will he or wont he. I hated knowing Frawley had put off contract talks and watching him run around all year looking disinterested.

The article actually said " The temperature of the top half of the world's oceans -- above the 1.24-mile mark -- is still climbing, but not fast enough to account for the stalled air temperatures.". Is your argument so weak you need to make stuff up? Why not just stick to the facts? Further to that I don't think the models had the oceans warming just rising. When global temperatures didn't warm as the models predicted the excuse was the "energy" / heat was being stored in the oceans. NASA has come out and declared that isn't the case. So essentially the models are rubbish and the excuse for them being rubbish has been proven incorrect.
