  1. fwiw, cal twomey believes that kalani white is 'leaning' towards joining the mfc rather than gc17 he also said that he expects him to be - at this very early stage of the year - outside the top 25 prospects in this year's draft crop obviously very early days
  2. i don't think he's rated that highly at this stage, which may be a good thing (i.e. he costs us less to bring him in) or a bad thing (he might not be anything more than a promising prospect) it's so hard to know
  3. rookie me central is the best resource for how the underagers are going; his profile is here someone else on here reported that he's currently the vice-captain of the stingrays as well, which bodes well his round 1 report is encouraging: Stats: 22 disposals, 6 marks, 5 inside 50s One of the more experienced players for the Stingrays, the Melbourne NGA prospect was mostly damaging with his classy left-foot kicking through the game. Sinemma resumed his role on the wing in the first half, looking to break lines and change lanes every time he got his hands on the ball, and sliding inside defensive 50 to aid his teammates in transition. He spent some time on-ball in the second half with mixed results, looking rushed in possession through congestion i'm really hopeful that he'll move into a more inside / out mix of performance rather than just a wing per se - we need him to be able to win his own ball in the contest as well as be damaging on the outside hey, in an ideal world his performance will go through the roof this year and all of a sudden we're not concerned about trading out of the first round of the 2025 draft cos we've got a future star in our midst
  4. i'm currently laden with gloom, but i'm expecting a mother of all hidings our last two games have been, quite frankly, appalling; the midfield seems to have stopped to a halt mfcss writ large - "when things are glum there's worse to come"
  5. lever was always coming to the dees, i thought? may was either us or the filth, and we had the asset - thanks to hogan leaving - to trade for him, whereas they did not, having just finished 2nd
  6. i'd probably like dark mode more if the blue of the 'body' matched the blue of the left hand nav background to create a seamless view
  7. the issue with these two guys - as nice as they are - is that they often just say words without any facts behind them
  8. No, he’s a passionate journalist He breaks stories regardless of his feelings towards a club
  9. So Ben Brown 2.0
  10. Sigh wretched Dingley!
  11. would happily have another player of lindsay's quality join us in the red and blue
  12. if they go they go, if they stay they stay gimme value or gimme nothing
  13. + free agency introduced at the exact same time massive impact
  14. yes this is my least favourite bit
  15. ridiculous more likely to encourage his son to follow his path and help build the club back up again
  16. thought he took a while to get going against gold coast, but his second half in particular was very impressive the real shame is that he doesn't have the incredible breakaway speed of a finn callaghan type; he seems like he's going to be much more of a bullocking inside mid type as opposed to an inside / out player
  17. we don't have the assets to trade for him; neither do the filth i would think the first three clubs mentioned there all have multiple first round picks in 2025, plus their own 2026 picks too
  18. what is the current thinking of his value? is he still playing primarily as an outside player or, given its his senior year, is he starting to develop an inside / out game?
  19. Harmes would not have been up for trade if Brayshaw’s retirement was known to be coming
  20. TC injured in the vfl
  21. Petty was bog that day at chf - marked everything kicked to him This was the game I thought everything was rosy at the club; didn’t last many weeks when Flagmantle belted us in the Alice
  22. Green was at pains to point out on media rounds on Saturday that he is NOT interim; he is a long term board member and the current president
  23. Eh? when Dingley were awful to start in 2024 they were slow and circuitous in their ball movement
  24. It was glaring how much he lead at the ball carrier and flew for his marks compared to those down there all day, like JVR and AJ
