  1. i would assume that the only way we could clear the salary space to secure mckay would be to trade one of oliver or petracca i know of the three which two i would prefer to have
  2. he definitely will - he's re-contracted for 2026, at least he'll turn 34 before the start of the 2026 season, but there's no reason to think that he can't stay as a significant performer for that year and potentially beyond - he remains one of the best key defenders in the competition has he slowed down and looks like he creaks when he bends over? yes! does he still perform to high expectations? absolutely!
  3. may has signed an extension to play on in 2026; clearly still in our best side i love the idea of dogga returning, but i just don't know how the deal gets done
  4. i was wondering whether our 2026 nga prospect marcus prasad might make it as an underager, but i guess not
  5. AFL mantra has long been don’t start an investigation where you don’t already know the outcome
  6. What’s their indigenous name, I wonder?
  7. hawks i believe cooper is already in the bears' academy, and is 2026 draft eligible
  8. what school does he attend? the big game between haileybury and caulfield grammar was on over the weekend, and the likes of tairon ah-mu, for instance, were playing for haileybury instead of the stingrays
  9. so much so that luke hodge's kids are more likely to go to the bears' academy than to dingley as a father-son selection
  10. i saw one throw in that was so ridiculously short on the afl members side (right! in front!! of ME!!!) that the field ump called it back and made him do it again the bloods fan in front of me and i couldn't think of the last time we'd seen a boundary throw-in given a do-over i think it's inevitable that 'between the arcs' it'll be an automatic free kick from the last player touch - the same approach they use for the 'lasso' in aflw, which seems to work okay
  11. 6: pickett 5: gawn 4: salem 3: oliver 2: petracca 1: langdon
  12. from what i saw, tholstrup was not involved that much and laurie would need an injury crisis to get a go, as he's an inside mid who is not quick nor particularly skilled
  13. we were terrible and once they got a sniff they powered away
  14. looked like a classique 'football collision' with no malice in it whatsover if dbj was concussed then pearce is probably looking at 3 weeks off cos the afl and their arbitrary 'punish the result not the incident' ridiculousness will be a big part of the penalty
  15. Expectations are high, and the outcome is super important for both sides Whoever loses slips that crucial 4 points behind the other and will lose touch with the bottom edges of the 8 Should be a cracking contest
  16. They play completely different roles Laurie is a first possession inside mid type He’s sort of similar to Newcombe around the stoppages but with none of the strength and his kicking is hit and miss
  17. geez i would may was decent last week - only the one brain fade on the goal line and i can't remember him stuffing up an exit d50 kick as i think it was @Roost it far said, we need our best two tall defenders to get game time together
  18. i only see picket's inanities when someone quotes em, but for this reply it was worth it
  19. bears run and spread from the contest is much better today who had the role, if anyone, on rayner last week? i can't seem to remember anyone in particular paying close attention to him, but i don't remember him being super-involved either
  20. did they? i don't think we'd have been keen on that deal
  21. last half of this quarter has left a lot to be desired tbh casey have left a 3 figure margin on the table jvr now has 2 goals 3 as the siren goes, but i think the big callout for his game is the 13 marks, at least 5 or 6 of which have been contested
  22. adams a nice contested intercept mark but his disposal is iffy at best
  23. el jefe with a lovely set shot - he gets his 2nd into the breeze
  24. why kayo? it's a free stream via vfl website or app
