NON-MFC: Round 18
fwiw i agree about losing dog impacting our window, but i'm pretty sure we also got more 'value' for him than any other trade as i've said before, my mfcss only abated for a couple of months after the premiership until it was confirmed that he a) never got a premiership tattoo and ii) talk about him signing an extension stopped and 3) he put any such further talks on hold i think he's a freak of a player; i think windsor can be very special too but at the moment... premierships with mfc: 1 finals with freo: 0 (that will change this year i would think)

Free to Air TV Losing Money and Shedding Jobs - What does that mean for footy?
as of next year, kayo / foxtel has a lockout on saturday football for the first 8 rounds of each season c7 only has rights to 3 games a round - thursday, friday nights, and sunday arvo i don't think it's realised just how much that is going to effect people's viewing habits of footy from 2025 onwards foxtel used to hover at around that 35% household penetration and was incredibly profitable but the advent of streaming has completely changed that model, obviously

close contest is an entertaining one first half was free-flowing and both sides tightened up defensively in the second half

NON-MFC: Round 18

NON-MFC: Round 18
crom - cos the crows mistakenly printed 'go the crom' on official merch once and it's stuck with their fanbase; they've even produced merch mocking themselves about it, i believe flagmantle - it's the aspirational name their own fanbase gave to themselves in the year they got beaten by the hawks in the grand final in the mid 2010s; meth coke fans call them 'flogmantle' in response pear - cos their fans all sound like they're saying 'carn the pear' when they say 'carn the power' and it has, like the crom, been adopted by their own fanbase as a term of affection for the team

it'd be very...interesting to see how the afl / nrl would make up the shortfall from their broadcast agreements with news you can only watch it you have a sportsbet account?

PREGAME: Rd 18 vs Essendon
for me it's one of viney, anb, or sparrow to roll thru zerrett from a 'cooler' perspective - viney probably makes the most sense around stoppages, but anb has the bigger tank / more defensive mindset durham is arguably in just as good form imo caldwell and shiel go alright too their pace worries me

they wouldn't drop substantially; they'd disappear entirely no one other than news corp has the $$s and the desire to pay for two domestic sports in a country with a population less than 25m
