  1. charlie curnow a possible acl - looked so innocuous...which doesn't seem to be a good thing these days
  2. oh god not another knee - curnow
  3. that interchange changeover, good grief
  4. peptides are awful
  5. lewis will either finish up this year or be on a severely reduced contract in 2020, and he was on very good coin for three years with us we also won't be paying $70k a year for watts to not be on our list any more
  6. cats by 42 i worry about us scoring more than about 60 points a game at the moment
  7. of the players out of contract this year, here's some names that stand out: hugh greenwood (crows) - sort of their equivalent of harmes, i guess riley knight (crows) - he most plays outside mid, has some pace daniel mcstay (bears) - very good tall defender, not sure we need another brayden sier (pies) - tough inside ballwinner, has some defensive liabilities tom phillips (pies) - jet wingman, would love him; no way they're losing him darcy parish (peptides) - a slightly better version of stretch...pass ed langdon (freo) - pace to burn, we've gone after him a couple of times nakia cockatoo (cats) - has skills but his body has let him down peter wright (gc17) - another key forward who doesn't seem to read the play that well adam tomlinson (gw$) - free agent, not sure what role he's play with us given kk and fritsh play def wingmen jacob hopper (gw$) - another inside mid, might be able to get him if he's squeezed out cos... josh kelly (gw$) - ...stays at the franchise, and so too does... steve coniglio (gw$) - ...this bloke brandon ellis (tiggas) - turnover merchant, but has pace jack billings (aints) - so we have someone else other than petracca to complain about harry cunningham (swans) - another rfa, a bit limited as a wingman, occasional rotating inside mid zak jones (swans) - all the brothers! josh dunkley (dogs) - another inside-outside mid-forward combo player, big bodied of that lot my preference in order would be a top five of coniglio, kelly, dunkley, billings, jones and then of the more likely lads langdon, tomlinson, hopper
  8. Buddy is a freak
  9. Swans got rogered by the maggot when Heeney goal turned into a 50 against It was as bad a call as the free against Melksham last week that gave them a goal
  10. Geez the skills are rough
  11. Traded our Shiel, Lobb, and $cully - there’s upwards of $2m ($800k, $800k, $400k) off the books
  12. Blakey is gonna be a star
  13. Adelaide’s disposal thus far is ugly
  14. Wow! if I’m lucky I get 5mbps
  15. coniglio - free agent who is likely to stay at gw$ josh kelly - likely to stay there too whitfield - same again i wonder who we're targeting, if anyone
  16. re-built him in the space of three months...
  17. you don't pay for output tho, you pay for potential tall forwards are vital commodities and commany big bikkies as a result
  18. he should command at least $450k, and if his year is as good as we need it to be from him, he should be well within his rights to claim more than $600k he's currently going at a goal a game, but we need to see him imposing himself on the contest etc. fwiw, hogan was on around $900k this year if he's stayed with us, and charlie curnow signed a five year deal midway through last worth about $800k a year so if weed really steps up and has geelong finals-like games on the regular in 2019, then $700k is well within the realms of possibilities
  19. trac's best game remains the 18 disposals, seven marks and three goals when he won the bog medal in a queen's birthday hasn't done anything like that well since
  20. i'd said it before but i don't think trac will ever have a break-out game - he's very comfortable having those 15-25 disposal, 0.1-3 goal, 3-7 marks, 1-4 tackle games so that when it's at the upper echelon - say 22 disposals, 2 goals 1, 6 marks, and 3 tackles - he looks like he's going to go to the next level he's also a completely different sort of player to de goey who is more of a marking target up front than petracca ever will be
  21. that'd be a terrible deal if he was a manager; below the average wage he's a key forward, which are pretty rare, and our whole structure is built around him and t mac i'm very confident he'll sign up
  22. nor weed or t mac every time one of them relieved max last saturday our entire forward line structure fell down - at one stage they were kicking to spargo as a 'leading forward'
  23. o mac can read the ball in flight better than frost and then isn't anything like as wasteful in possession as frost, but is physically out-bodied and has a turning circle of a mack truck frost is a bigger body and quicker but is just not a footballer very interesting that we've kept both when you consider cats really only have hawkins and ratugolea as a tall forward duo, then rohan as a midsize surrounded by smaller types
  24. de goey is listed as 188cm but there's just no way - at one stage grimes was standing next to him, and he's 193cm tall, and it appeared de goey was TALLER
  25. is de goey the best full forward in the competition?
