Gary Pert?
one instance from over 20 years ago; that's gotta be sydney with qbe, i presume? i worked at a club where a sponsor was brought in by the media department these are the exceptions, not the rule the likes of media and marketing depts have little to do with corporate negotiations as rule
-
Gary Pert?
you clearly don't understand how corporate negotiations work the marketing dept certainly does not sign off major partnerships

Jack Petruccelle
it's why, ideally, he's not in our best 22 he's got better this year, no doubt, but he's still a very average (at best) footballer

2019 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Perfect replacement for Coniglio for them tho If we end up with pick 3, gw$ might want to trade with us so that they can secure a high end young talent as well as Greene Forget the likes of Kelly, Cameron, Greene of the Toby variety or Taranto and the like, but who else could we prize free I wonder... Whitfield for pick 3?

who said we want to win?

Will Carlscum rise up the ladder?
they should have been up a lot sooner than they were fortunately, draft picks (three #1 in a row a decade ago, another several since) and high-priced recruits (judd, daisy) aren't the panacea wait, oh my god, THAT'S US TOO i hate football

Kade Chandler Set to Debut
players not to suit up in afl in 2019 (so far): bedford vandenberg (injured all year) jordon nietschke (injured all year) joel smith (injured all year) maynard (rookie) walker (cat b rookie, injured all year) bradtke (cat b rookie) avb and j smith obviously played in preseason just extraordinary how low we're scraping that barrel

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ED LANGDON
interesting that if you use the draft pick value calculator on the bare bones of the trade (i.e. not factoring in the compo picks that pushed the picks backwards) then we actually look to have paid more for melksham melksham trade: pick 25 hibberd trade: hibberd and 59 for 29 and 68, valuing hibberd at pick 34 currently our second round pick is #20 is langdon 'worth' a pick 20? if you split the difference btw melksham and hibberd and say he's worth around a pick 30 or so the biggest issue with this is freo have just TWO PICKS with draft value indication currently - pick 8 and 26, then nothing til about pick 80 or so - and we don't have much further down on our draft list to 'equal' it out either, just pick 38 and 57 be interesting to see how it plays out
-
Brandon Ellis (now a Sun)
if they were with us this year, they would both have played key roles i think both players would be be a walk-up start for us for several years to come that being said, i wouldn't think we'd be able to get both - it's one or the other
-
Ben King
yet this is an incredibly feasible scenario we get pick 2, we hold it; we get pick 3, it is heading somewhere else i really hope we get back into the first round somehow
-
The Stephen Coniglio Thread
remember when wayne jackson, as ceo of the afl, sang along with gusto in the freo team huddle after one of their victories? this is same thing - gil's barracking moment for his pet project i certainly don't remember anyone urging any of our wantaway players when we were deplorable to 'stick fat with the dees'
