GAMEDAY: Rd 21 vs Western Bulldogs
whatwhat say what replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
yeah, not remotely confident -
top four interstate sides - bloods, bears, flagmantle, and gw$ - all look the most likely to me

According to Mark Duffield we have ‘significant interest’ in him From their website, they describe him as a tall defender Towering young tall Harry Edwards has been asked to tackle some big assignments since debuting in 2020, and the former rookie-listed defender gained valuable experience from his 17 senior level appearances in the 2022 season. Edwards did well to use that experience to his advantage when given the opportunity, further developing the 200cm backman at an accelerated rate. Edwards encountered injury concerns in 2023, including a fractured wrist, which saw him feature just twice in the senior squad last year. The Swan Districts product was named West Coast’s Emerging Talent winner in 2021.

so for this off-season we're looking at a father-son and nga as probably late / rookie picks: noah yze: tall half-back / inside mid, regularly getting in the bests for oakleigh ricky mentha: small forward, now being re-tooled as a fast half-back rebounder at the end of 2025 we're likely looking at early / early-ish upgrades: kalani white: tall defender, already playing up an age level at under 18s champs, selected under 16s all oztrayan tairon ah-mu: forward / ruck, dominating for haileybury as a 'junior' and playing under 18 football if white and ah-mu are seriously talented - and, judging by write-ups etc, it would seem they are - i wonder how much we'll know about what we'll need to have in the kitty to get them before we make decisions regarding trading 'out' of the 2025 draft
-
or his manager is using his peak performance season as the perfect time to renegotiate his contract in a pre-free agency year
-
be interesting to see what happens here
-
polec was never all oztrayan, but wingard was in ripping form for the pear before he crossed to dingley, twice earning all oztrayan honours, winning the john cahill medal, and twice leading their goalkicking as a half-forward / mid houston was all oztrayan last year and has barely missed a game since debuting if we can get him, he'll be the perfect addition to our side's make-up it'll be very interesting to see how hard we go at getting him

Caleb Windsor Could Miss the Rest of 2024
whatwhat say what replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
lovely bit of fearmongering here from fox footy low grade syndesmosis which doesn't require surgical intervention and could see him return to the side sooner rather than later according to the mfc injury update -
yes, which is why i presume we'll be taking a first round pick to the draft in 2024

2024 List and Contract Details

at 28 years of age? unlikely, you'd think -
wow we have come a long way...

personally my ideal off-season sees us revelling in winning a premiership after winning the next 8 games in a row... i think it'll be houston OR a top 10 draft pick @Binmans PA can't see us achieving both this 2024 post-season the other names we've been linked to are cumming and angwin from gw$, both of whom have struggled with injury throughout their careers thus far, but both of who could help fill out our depth as half-back / wing types in reality tho neither are in the seem class as dan houston - i tend to be 'all in' for him as he and rivers would perfectly completely each other as half-back / midfielders in our side in 2025 we're likely to have two picks we're taking outside of the draft - an nga and a father-son pick - which will give us the forward / ruck that we want (Tairon Ah-Mu) and a tall defender (Kalani White) to add to our tall depth the fact that they'll be coming onto the list at the end of 2025 increases my keenness for tom mcdonald to play on and help bridge the gap, given that the likes of adam tomlinson and ben brown are likely to off the list at the end of this season

Part 9: Jason Taylor - Visionary or Over-rated - 2021
whatwhat say what replied to Deespicable's topic in Melbourne Demons
this draft was a ripper for us, particularly if one of more of howes, woewodin or moniz-wakefield goes on to be a regular senior player, given that the expectation of both van rooyen and mcvee is that they'll be 200+ game players unrelated to this time period, heard on the weekend that chol signed a 4 year $2-2.5m deal with dingley which is heavily front-loaded and has a trigger for a 5th year - we were never in the market for him -
especially with the ball up rather than bounce in the middle it definitely suits the physical ruckmen as opposed to the lighter-framed likes of gawn
-
depends on whether we think we can make $$ out of it i would suspect not i do note that footscray are performing as...footscray this round
-
august is traditionally the month that assistant coaches are told that they're being re-contracted or not - already david teague has left the tiggas as he wants to be a 'ball movement' style coach not a forward line coach do you think we will see change to our assistant coaching ranks in 2025? as a corollary to that, how much change is too much?

i was there - it was so cold, and my friend who i go with each week and were discussing that it seems crazy that mfc vs gw$ isn't played during the day, as opposed to prime time i don't think crowd noise has anything to do with our success in fact, judging by the end of the home and away season in 2021, perhaps we thrive in silence
-
bitterly cold, bitterly disappointing
-
could be! very mfcss of you... yes, nothing much to write home about this week yes, he's a good size and moves well in / out of stoppages and has good defensive intent
