  1. depends on whether we think we can make $$ out of it i would suspect not i do note that footscray are performing as...footscray this round
  2. august is traditionally the month that assistant coaches are told that they're being re-contracted or not - already david teague has left the tiggas as he wants to be a 'ball movement' style coach not a forward line coach do you think we will see change to our assistant coaching ranks in 2025? as a corollary to that, how much change is too much?
  3. OUT: billings, bowey IN: hore, tholstrup woey 2.0 back to the sub role
  4. 6: Oliver 5: Rivers 4: McVee 3: Viney 2: Lever 1: Langdon
  5. i was there - it was so cold, and my friend who i go with each week and were discussing that it seems crazy that mfc vs gw$ isn't played during the day, as opposed to prime time i don't think crowd noise has anything to do with our success in fact, judging by the end of the home and away season in 2021, perhaps we thrive in silence
  6. bitterly cold, bitterly disappointing
  7. could be! very mfcss of you... yes, nothing much to write home about this week yes, he's a good size and moves well in / out of stoppages and has good defensive intent
  8. lead hard, great below the knees, couldn't sit the side of a barn with his set shots
  9. this is the exact sort of game where they should just shunt everyone into southern stand so it doesn't look so empty on the broadcast side gonna be a small crowd tonite, but we'll cheer loud when the dees win
  10. sparrow had a quarter and a half of leather poisoning in the first hour and then a half of nothingness in the second he either doesn't have the fitness base to play full-time as a mid or he is not working hard enough for long enough...they may seem like the same thing but i personally don't think they are fullarton's clearance work was excellent, he ran hard, and he got monstered in the ruck hore and sestan the next best for the dees jefferson's set shot kicking has gone to pieces
  11. scores level... 6.15.51 to 8.3.51
  12. casey completely gone into their shell and allowing uw$ to control the balance of play trying to control the play too much as opposed to attacking the contest
  13. yes big across the shoulders, and a good size - moves to the right spots to impact play and - perhaps unlike his dad - has excellent defensive effort max gruzewski has all 5 uw$ goals good key forward; bring him home mfc
  14. 2 goals 6 in the quarter to 1 goal for uw$ jeffo spraying it after the siren was poor - his set shot routine looks out of whack compared to earlier in the year dominant quarter not rewarded
  15. jefferson reads the flight of the ball so well pack mark from the i50 kick, sprays the set shot from 40m there's a heap to like
  16. mitch white breaks the run of points with a great goal on the move around the pack following another i50 entry from sparrow
  17. sparrow with another monster tackle
  18. hunter has been on in q2 and been super busy on the wing
  19. since i wrote this he's had an extra 6 disposals and 4 clearances, plus a monster tackle that helped set up verrall's goal just now
  20. yze looks a player at vfl level should definitely be on our list (rookie?) in 2025
  21. a win tonight would be enormous
  22. casey is simply not shutting down the space and the uw$ are running into a lot of space sparrow's lack of defensive running shows a real lack of effort
  23. would you hate me if i said yes? i'd have them behind all of bloods, bears, flagmantle, and gw$ as a top four side however, their early- and mid-season form sees them a strong chance to maintain a spot in the top four, and perhaps behind footscray and hawthorn as the next 'form' team and, once finals hits, the season starts again, particularly with the week's break between the end of the home and away and the finals start
