  1. it's funny, from 2020-2024 i was incredibly confident us winning every game now i have uncertainty as to whether or not we can even be competitive my mfcss is tingling; not helped by some random stat i saw the other day that meth coke win more round 8 games than any other team or some such poppycock do it for plugger mac, dees
  2. go aints i want flagmantle failing every year while dog jackson remains there come home, luke...
  3. rookie me central is a great service
  4. i reckon max has had two standout games, and a couple of ones where his colours have been lowered bowey and plugger mac have been very consistent, while chandler does all the little things that get votes from the coaches
  5. i reckon way higher he's been more consistent than gawn, and other than plugger the backline star has been bowey, while chandler and - gulp - sparrow have been the best of the forwards i'd go current top 3 of: 1. bowey 2. plugger mac 3. chandler
  6. tbh i don't wonder at all evidence points to the fact that we're not very good
  7. pert was coming from a culture of: the stench of death at fitzroy the post-1990 premiership and death of darren millane at the filth austereo going from a giant in radio to a minnow channel 9 being an absolute mess under eddie the filth's second rise under malthouse into the mess with figjam taking over took over at mfc and saw us have biggest and our most successful era since the 55-64 make finals for the first time in 12 years in his first 6 months in the gig win a premiership three years hence two top four finishes thereafter record membership numbers record revenue numbers so, yeah, i would argue that the 'culture' that he saw at the mfc from 2018-2023 probably WAS the best he'd seen in 40 years of football then working life
  8. tipping: peptides flagmantle footscray? crom? filth? us? gw$? dingley bears? best for us would be relatively similar, possibly with the exception of north getting up tonight, aints tomorrow night
  9. add me as another keen on flyin' ryan if we can get him for a decent offer would be exactly what we were hoping mcadam would be for us
  10. i go to the footy with someone related to him regularly would love it if he came to the dees
  11. both played their first senior games in 2011, but max was drafted one year earlier than tom, in 2009 no coincidence in my mind that plugger mac's best years as a forward - back half of 2017, all of 2018, then 2021 - were some of our most successful from his 15 seasons at the club he was incredibly durable up until and including 2018, then 2021 and 2024 are the only seasons he's got through more than 15 games i maintain his injury in 2022 was the sliding doors moment of our 'goodwin era'
  12. couldn't agree more i was waiting for someone to ask him about the state of the roads going in / out of the venue
  13. I love Plugger Mac and it’s great to see him getting more kudos
  14. and it would only be one oval pointless
  15. it's how they roll let others develop, then top up with uncontracted and disaffected players and maintain a stop in the 8 where they can challenge every year i envy them
  16. the greatest ruckman the game has ever seen
  17. that's the job of journos - to break stories
  18. yes, marcus prasad at a minimum
  19. write-up from rookie me central Stats: 7 disposals, 2 marks, 2 tackles Swapping positions with Curtin at half time, White was arguably more impressive in the defensive half where he was able to win more of the ball and demonstrate his clean ball use by hand and foot. White has a knack for being in the right spot, but currently lacks of little polish to hold all the marks he’s in the area for, almost getting mark of the year early on as the Academy exited defensive 50. To make up for this, White took a one-handed chest mark whilst jumping on his opponents head in the defensive goalsquare in the third quarter. https://central.rookieme.com/afl/2025/04/28/scouting-notes-afl-academy-vs-coburg-vfl-2/
  20. ah, so current director at racing victoria carry on
  21. I know everyone sees a bright future in Langford but Lindsay oozes class for mine
  22. I’d have much preferred KT, but that is personal bias Hated Guerra’s ‘everybody back to the cbd’ attitude
  23. no, that was quietly removed with the change to the new points allocations the northern franchises have full access to as many academy selections as they want to / can take
  24. give us a superstar small, please
  25. bloods just stopped that quarter very odd
